Here are some Christmas Memories from my childhood, that I remember. We didn't have alot of money growing up. So we were just thankful for what we had and what we might get. I remember the night before Christmas. Mom & Dad had told us that there might not be any Christmas this year. So all we could do, was hope and pray that Santa would come and see us, after all we have been good. My three sisters and myself, we would go to bed and we would try so hard to sleep, but we were just to excited to sleep. That's only because Santa Claus is coming. I wondered what kind of neat things he would bring me this year. I wanted a pink western shirt with the fringes hanging off the sleeves and on the front and back of the shirt. The one that I had was burned up in a fire.
We went to bed and it took awhile to go to sleep, but finally we were out sleeping so quietly and peacefully. We woke up bright and early the next morning. Yep, it was around 4:00 AM. We went down the stairs in our house to see if Santa was good to us this year, since we had been good this year. To our Suprise there was Christmas under the Christmas Tree. We were so excited to see the twinkling lights lit up on the Christmas Tree and all the Christmas presents under the tree. Mom & Dad heard us four girls giggling and laughing. They came down-stairs and they let us start opening our Christmas presents. You'll never guess what I got. My Christmas wish had come true. I got that pink silky western shirt with the fringes down the sleeves and on the front and back of the shirt. We all got brand new coats, hats, gloves and boots. No one can tell me there isn't a Santa Claus. I truely believe that Santa is alive and well in all of us.
I never got the chance to say Thank You to those people who made it possible for my family to have a Very Merry Christmas. So I am saying it now. Thank You so much for your generousity and your loving heart. The Lord will not pass you by when it comes to good deeds done. God Bless Everyone Who Has A Loving Heart & that is a caring soul.
I have been blessed with two beautiful girls. Our Christmas does not consist of material things. We still get the girls Christmas Presents, but they know that this day is for one reason. They know that we celebrate the Birth of Christ. The reason we exchange presents is because the wisemen brought Baby Jesus presents on the day of his birth. The Star at the top of our Christmas Tree is the symbol of the North Star that the wisemen followed to Bethlehem.
Our Christmas is the same as when I grew up. Our girls wake up bright and early on Christmas morning and they head straight for the Christmas Tree. We watch as their eyes light up and those smiles go all the way across their faces. They try not to wake us up, but we hear them and we go out to the living-room and watch them open up their Christmas Stockings. Then we load up the car and head over to our family's house to open Christmas Presents and cook a feast. When we get there we unload the car and put the presents under the Christmas Tree and wait for everyone else to get there. The girls are getting anxious and so are the other little ones. They just don't want to wait anymore. Finally everyone is here. So we start with the youngest and work our way to the oldest kid in the family. We watch as the girls eyes light up as they open their presents.
Then all presents are open and there is no more to open. All the children want to do now is to play with the new toys that they got. My sisters and I go to the kitchen and help my folks get Christmas dinner going. Of course the Turkey has been in the oven since 6:00 AM. There are pies, cakes, cookies, fudge, cranberry sauce, stuffing, home-made breads and cinnamon rolls. Then when all is done we sit and eat our dinner. We sit around laughing and talking about the old days and remembering all the fun stuff and wonderful memories.
May each and everyone of you, Have A Very Merry Chistmas and A Happy New Year. This is from my house to yours.
We are all created equal in the Lords Eyes. It doesn't matter wheather we are big or small, tall or short. It doesn't matter if we're black, white, brown, yellow or red. It doesn't matter if we're Christian, Catholic, Prodetant, Jahova or Nazarine. It doesn't matter if we're male or female. It doesn't matter if we're rich or poor. All that matters is that we all get along the way it was intended in the beginning when we were made. Let's all help to put an end to hunger in the USA & all over the world. Let us come up with new solutions to the homeless on our streets. Let's all work together to stop all the homelessness and hunger. Let's stop all the violence and fighting. Let all men, women & children get along. Let's all remember that we are created equal.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. So that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have ever lasting life. (John 3:16)
