VOLKSWAGEN THEME FOR WINDOWS 95
By Jennifer Sarantites (buran@avn.net)
======================================

Updated May 30, 1997 (Version 1.1)
==================================

This file should be available at http://www.vanagon.com/fun/windows_vw_theme
(no final slash or .html)

This theme is incomplete. I haven't been able to find many good sounds for
it, so if you have more you'd like to see included, please let me know.

A good screen saver for use with this theme can be downloaded from
http://www.dmu.ac.uk/~smoggan/vdub/xtras/download/vwsaver2.zip. It is
customizable and can be made to display any image you like.

All files from Version 1.0 have been included for your customizing pleasure.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
=========================

   1. Use an unzip program (i.e. WinZip - http://www.winzip.com)
      to extract the theme files to a subdirectory of your MS Plus! themes directory.
      This is very important due to the way Windows 95 stores theme file locations.
      For example, my copy is located in c:\win95\plus\themes\volkswagen.
      It is VERY important that your decompression program be able to handle long
      file names!

   2. Go to the Win95 Control Panel by clicking on the Start Menu, then
      Settings, then Control Panel. Select the Desktop Themes applet
      (if you don't have Plus! installed, you will not see this and you
      will not be able to use this theme.) See control.jpg.

   3. Choose "Other..." from the list of available themes. See
      control2.jpg.

   4. You will be returned to the initial Desktop Themes window. Select the
      theme elements you wish to apply from the list, then press Apply or
      OK to implement the changes. See control3.jpg.

   5. Congratulations! You're done!

PROBLEMS?
=========

Before sending me a problem, please check your Windows 95/Plus!
documentation. Chances are your question will be answered there. If that
fails, ask your technical support rep, computer guru, or your son/daughter.
If you think you STILL have a problem, THEN ask me. Send an email to
buran@avn.net with a return address and a clear description of your
problem.

CREDITS
=======

Many of the cursors used in this theme, particularly those of Things, were
made by Garry Norris (rnorris@wam.umd.edu) sometime in the winter/spring
of 1997. The rainbow VW logo background was made by myself (Jennifer
Sarantites) using Adobe Photoshop 4.0 image-editing software. Many of the
other icons came from various icon packs; I do not know who their authors
were. If you believe that one or more of the icons/cursors within this theme
is your work, please let me know (and preferably have some sort of proof.)
The files in question will be removed if so requested.

PRICE
=====

None, though I'm currently trying to save enough money to buy myself a nice
but inexpensive (relatively) rust-free Westy. If you're interested in donating,
I'd love to know about it. Drop me mail at buran@avn.net. I will be very
grateful!

REDISTRIBUTION TERMS
====================

Feel free to redistribute this theme on disk, via BBS, or the Internet.
However, you MUST include all of the files you recieved in the original zip
file (vwtheme.zip) as well as this message, which must remain completely
intact. You may modify the theme as you see fit on your PERSONAL
installation, but publicly-distributed copies must retain this original
configuration.

I am not responsible for any damage incurred while using this
theme, especially if you didn't scan it for viruses before using it. And
