Well, this is the walkthru to EarthBound for the Super Nintendo.
The Hero-NESS
other "I don't care" names:
Alec/Roger/Will/Brian/Tyler/Lane
A normal kid living in Onett, a town in Eagleland. Once the meteorite
lands, however, everything changes. An alien believes him to be a very
special human-one with the power to affect cosmic events. Ness has a
good balance of speed, IQ, offense and mysterious phychic abilities.
His PSI powers include healing abilities that he can use on himself and
friends. His preferred weapon is some type of baseball bat, and he
loves to wear a special baseball cap with his favorite team's logo on
the front. The best character in the game with very good stats
especially after the sound stone explodes.
Paula
She is the first friend that Ness meets on his adventure. She
comes from Twoson,where her mother runs a preschool out of the
family home. All the children at the preschool love her! Though
she looks like your average sweetie pie, she has powerful Phychic
PSI) powers that help the group a force to be reckoned with. Television
reporters have reported on her powers. Her PSI abilities are great for
offensive attacks. When she needs a weapon, she prefers a frying pan.
Her girlishcharm also acts as some type of defense against attacks with
ribbons, etc. She is a very powerful character with some awesome
defensive items later in the game.
Jeff
Winters is home to the son of a famous scientist. He is about the
same age as Ness, so they naturally have a lot to talk about. Jeff's
own scientific knowledge is tremendous, and he can use machines and
gadgets that none of the other three friendshave any idea how to use.
Jeff is especially good at repairing broken devices. Wintersis an
island country, so meeting up with the rest of the group becomes a major
undertaking. Jeff doesn't have any PSI abilities, but his mechanical
skills make up forthem. PHIL's NOTE: I totally agree. He is the most
powerful character in the gamebecause of his MULTI BOTTLE ROCKETS, which
cause 1000-3500 points of damage. He is still not the best character in
the game because he is fairly weak and has low HP.
Poo
The prince is from the country of Dalaam, an eastern country that
is very mysterious to most people living in Eagleland. He is a little
older than Ness,and has great physical, mental, and spiritual strength.
He seems very popular with the girls as well. Though he has all of
these tremedous attributes, he remains modest and loyal.He commands the
strongest (in Phil's opinion)PSI abitities that only he can use. His
weapons and protections are mostly unknown because of his mysterious
backround. Now, if he could only get used to western food... PHIL's
NOTE:Poo is the second best character in the game. He has high HP and
PP, plus the best offensive PSI attacks like Star Storm. He doesn't
benifit very much when eating western food...

CALLING EARTH!
Nestled in his cozy bed at his home in the small town Onett, Ness is
lost in dreams of cookies and brightly wrapped birthday presents when,
suddenly, a violent crash breaks the peaceful silence of the night.
Sitting bolt upright in bed, he rubs his eyes, then rushes downstairs to
find out what could had caused the tremendous tremor that ripped him
from his sleep. Downstairs, his mother is also alarmed. Ness is eager
to investigate, and his mother reluctantly allows him to leave, but only if he changes out of his pjs.
Once outside, Ness finds his small town all abuzz over a meteor
that has crashed to earth just a short distance from town. The police
have roadblocks at all enterances to town, and no one is allowed to come
or go. When he tries to get close to the crash site, he finds it, too,
blocked by policemen who tell you to go home and back to bed. Near the
scene, he alsoruns into his bother-some neighbor, Pokey, who is
pestering the police. After talking to everyone, including the man who
claimed to be the first person on the scene, Ness returns home to report
his findings to his mother,
then he goes back to bed. Just as he drifts off to sleep, though,
someone pounds on the door. He opens it to finda distraught Pokey on
the doorstep. It seems that while Pokey was hanging aroundthe crash
site, his younger brother, Picky, disapeared. Because Pokey wassupposed
to be taking care of Pickey, Pokey knows that he's in big trouble if he
doesn't find his brother and take him home before
his parents return. He begs for Ness's help.
Ness agrees to return to the crash site in the meadow near town.
He sets out with his dog, king, and Pokey. At this time of night, with
the police buisy in town, monsters are lurking in the shadows. The boys
fend them off with King's help, and when they reach the meteor, sure
enough, they find Picky. They plan to high tail it home, but before
they can leave the area, an eerie column of
light pierces through the dark sky just above the meteor, and they hear
a peculiar buzzing voice address them.
Buzz Buzz, the bee like creature behind the voice, tells them that he
has come from the future, ten years, to be exact. He tells of
devastation at the hands of Giygas, the universal cosmic destroyer. He
says that the people in the time and place he comes from tell a ledgend
that says, "When the chosen boy reaches the point, he will find the
light. The passing of time will shatter the nightmare rock and will
reveal the path of light." Buzz Buzz belives that Ness is the chosen
boy, and that the meteor portends that giyga's evil plan
has been set in motion on Earth. He believes that if Ness begins to
counter Giygas immediately he might have tiem to save the earth from
devastation. The ledgend also says that three boys and a girl defeat
Giygas. He advises Ness that three things are of utmost importance:
Wisodom, courage, and friendship.
Buzz buzz joins them as they head home, and its a good thing, too.
On the way, they're attacked by Star Man Junior, one of Giygas's
henchmen. Buzz Buzz protects the boys by using a psychic
shield during the ensuing battle. When they defeat Junior, Buzz Buzz
warns them that they'll be facing not only Giygas, but also humans and
animals that have been possesed by Giygas's eveil forces.
When they reach Pokey and Picky's house, their parents are already
home, and the two boys are in BIG trouble. They're sent to their rooms,
leaving Ness and Buzz Buzz to deal with the angry parents. Buzz Buzz
isn't around for long, though-Pokey's mother mistakes him for a dung
beetle and promptly grounds with a fly swatter. In his waning moments,
Buzz Buzz gives Ness some final advice.
He whispers, "to defeat Giygas, your own power must unite with the
earth's. The earth will then channel your power and multiply it." He
tells Ness of eight points, or sanctuaries, that he must visit. And
with his dying breath, Buzz Buzz gives Ness the Sound Stone, a sacred
stone that records the sounds of the sanctuaries. Now Ness must pursue
the adventure on his own, and following the advice of Buzz Buzz, he sets
out for the city of Onett and the ledgendary sanctuary know as Giant
Step.

Prologue
A small 13 year old youth named Ness is sound asleep and all of a
sudden, BOOM!! A meteorite crashes into the hillside. He wakes up and
that's the beggining of his adventure...

Ok, now that you read that crap we can get to the actual game. Go into
you're sister's room and grab the cracked bat, your first weapon!
Venture out to see what caused the ruckus. Go talk to Pokey(he stands
out) and go back home. At the top of the hill and you'll (hopefully)
find out that you can't get a good look because the cops are blocking
the path. Get your dog and call your dad. Save and go back to the
meteor. The cops aren't there and you can see it. Picky is sleeping by
the bush. Talk with Buzz Buzz and go back down the hill. Beat Starman
Junior (Buzz Buzz does all the work) and go to Pokey's house. Buzz Buzz
will die and it gets light out. Go to your house and eat. Save and go
into town. Buy a Tee ball bat, sell the cracked bat and go to the
secret clubhouse. It's by the library in the trees. Get the Mr.
Baseball cap and wear it. Save at the drug store and go down to the
arcade. This may sound crazy, but fight these guys until you reach
level 8. With your PSI Power, march in there and kiss him and his
robot's butt cheaks good bye. Bomb him with your mighty PSI Power (or
your fav thing)and they'll die. He will heal you if you go in the
arcade and go back to talk to him. Now save. Go to the city hall and
talk to the mayor. He'll give you a key to get into the cave. Go into
the cave (north west side of town) and get some items. When you get to
the grass halfway up, and you're low on PP, here's a trick. Walk in and
out of that door and butterflies reapear. Get all your PP back and
challenge that Titanic ant. He has 235 Hp and he's a son of a bitch if
you aren't on L9or Level 10. Use your Lifeup a. and PSI Power. When
you beat him go through the door and find the Giant Step. Your Hp and
PP will refill and you should go back to town. The cops tell you to
come by the station later. Save and go to the police station by the
bakery.(also the only one in town) Here you have to beat FIVE (yes,
5)police officers and Captain Strong himself!! Use the same strategy
for him as you used on Titanic ant. After you beat him (not hard, LONG)
you can finally go to TWOSON!!

There are lots of neat things in Twoson. First get money from the
hotel, rent a bike, visit the pizza shop and get the phone number,
save and fight Mr. Everdred in Burglin Park. Now buy some fresh eggs,
hatch them into chickens and sell them at a store! You get $110 each!Go
to the department store, buy a teddy bear or two, go to apple
kid'shouse, feed him, give him money, and go to the Peaceful rest
valley. Find a pencil statue and examine it. Now go back to town.
Apple kid will call you and tell you about his latest invention. Go
meet him at the park. Go back to the statue and use the Pencil eraser
on it. Keep going until you reach Happy Happy Village. Check out the
fresh eggs at the SELF SERVE BOOTH. Take a couple for $0,
you got it $0, and go through the north west cave. Visit Paula and get
a badge. Pokey will show up with some friends. You have to beat his
friends. Easy. These dudes give you tons of EXP, so fight them for a
while until you get to L12 or L13. With your mighty badge, take on
carpainter in the big purple house with aliens?? Yes. Beat him and get
the jail key. Free Paula and save at the drugstore. Now go to the
eastern cave and fight the Mondo Mole! Use your best PSI and heal when
necasary. He's not too tough, but after all he does have 498 hp. Don't
even try to beat him unless you have 150 hp!! Return to Twoson and
bring Paula back to preschool. (a 13 yr old and a 4 year old? Ness is
got it going, ha ha ha) Go to Mr. Everdred's house and he'll hand over
10,000 for apparently no reason. Must be Ness's lucky day! Go to the
Runaway Five theater and talk to them by the side of the building.
They'll give you a back-stage pass because you brough the pre-schooler,
er, I mean Paula. After the show, talk to the manager and give him the
10,00 bucks. He'll let the Runaway
Five go! Now catch a ride in their van to threed.

THREED-
You through Threed was gonna be sunny paradise like Onett and Twoson?
Guess again, fortune teller. Threed is a dark, cloudy (haunted) town
and lately there has been no sunshine! Monsters emerged from the
graveyard and even trash cans have been obsessed! First, buy some junk
from the guy behind the pizza shop, such as bombs. Now, enter the
drugstore and save. Go up to the north-western graveyard and take the
path. There should be two zombies blocking your way. Now talk to the
guy in town (in a black suit standing by a builing).
He will tell you about the "chick" in front of the hotel. Follow the
chick (saveon your way through the hotel)and you will find... A TRAP???
Hmm...You wake up in some sort of cave. The door is locked. What will
our heroes do??Call Jeff, duh!
WINTERS-population-506/Goats-2+/Tessie watchers-1200/temperature-1F/wind

Jeff hears Paula's teleknectic message and sets off immeadeatly.
Don't forget to go into the room right by the sleeping room for a whole
shitload of cookies. Now, go down stairs and talk to Maxwell.
He gives you a bended key for the lockers. As you may learn, the key
doesn't work and then he gives you his "Bad Key Machine". You can now
open the lockers. Retrieve the Pop Gun, Holmes Hat, and the other junk.
Equip it and head out of the Dorm. CLimb over the fence with your side
kick's help. Now march into the Drug Store. In the Drug store, you
will find a monkey and a girl. Give the girl a buck and take your
Bubble Gum Monkey. (*_*) Level up outside by fighting the goats and
parrots give you an additional prize of a cookie! Keep going southward
until you reach the Tessie watcher camp. Call Maxwell from the phone
tent and save your progress. Now, you have to catch a ride on Tessie,
the terror of the sea! Fortunatly, the monkey if fond of the ledgendary
beast, so you can let him catch us a ride.
Walk to the little circle of dirt and the monkey will blow a big bubble
and float to Tessie. Now you float down to the South Shore.
Shortly you will find a cave. Its a VERY easy maze and there's a phone
at the end. Save and talk to the guy. Rest up and be on your way. Go
into another cave and level up on the mice and plants. When you get to
a section that has a rope up on top of a ledge, give the monkey a piece
of gum. He will float up and throw it down to you.
Go up and NOTE the shining spot. You should come back later with some
help and then you can beat him. Go out of the cave and RUN away
from the bears and cave men. If you do get in a fight, and things get
rough, use his mighty BIG BOTTLE ROCKET. It will take them out in a
hit. Run southword to the LAB. Inside, Jeff will find his long lost
daddy. Use the machine to get all your lost Hp+PP back. Now save.
Talk to daddy o, and hop on the mighty SKKYYY RUNNER!!!
Yee ha!
THREED-AGAIN???
Jeff crashes right into Ness and Paula's jail cell. Use the Bad Key
machine to get out. Save at the drug store. Now, beat the big purple
tent in the south part of the town. Use this battle strategy:

Kill the tent to get a handy dandy jar of FLY HONEY! Don't lose it.
Now walk up past the sign that says "Welcome to the Circus".
Apple kid will call and tell you about the zombie paper. Now walk in
front of the hotel. The delivery man will give the paper to you. Go to
the big circus tent. use the Zombie Paper in there, and then spend a
night at the hotel. In the morning, all the zombies will be stuck to
the floor. YESSS! Now you can go to Saturn Valley!

SATURN VALLEY-
Buy a Bionic Slingshot for Paula. Give one to Ness if you feel you need
to. Buy 2 silver bracelets, 3 great charms, and one Red Ribbon.
If you're low on health, stay at the inn for free. If someone is
unconsious, go to the hospital and get fixed up. Now, take the ladder
up into the cave and talk to all the Mr. Saturns. One will tell you how
to get in the secret base behind the Grapefruit Falls.
Go to the Grapefruit Falls and talk to the dude behind the falls. Wait
there for 3 minutes (get some food and a pop or two) and then he will
let you in. There are many good treasures in the base as well as a
Butterfly Room. You can use the butterfly room as your base.
Fight those little Foppys until you earn 4-5 levels up. Heal in the B.
Fly room and go west. You should run into a big pile of blue barf.
That's Belch, your new friend! Actually, you have to beat him up. He
is VERY EASY. Use your handy dandy FLY HONEY at the beggining of the
battle to get him all screwed up and then you can beat on him. He has
650 hp. No problem, right? Now continue on through the path that Mr
Belch was blocking. You will come right into saturn valley! There will
be a new HOT SPRINGS that you can use to wash all the stink off from
Belch. The Mr Saturns will reward you
greatly. Now, save, and go back to the Springs. Go through the other
door to the Milky Well Hole. There are many plants running wild, so be
careful. When you approach the shining spot, be sure that you're full
in health. Now, take on the Trillionage Sprout!
Use PSI Power, PSI Fire, Jeff's bottle Rockets, and so on.

Along your adventure, you might have noticed that when you spend the
night at an inn, Jeff repairs a broken object during the night. This is
one of Jeff's specialties. Just give him a broken object and he will
fix it. But there are also rules that apply.
Jeff must have a certain amount of IQ to fix something. So the higher
his IQ, the more stuff he can fix. Here is a list of stuff Jeff can

EARTHBOUND'S ENDING!!

When you pray the ninth time, Giygas will begin to totally break down.
The many faces in the background begin to get static interference, and
Giygas will go out like turning of an old TV. After a brief silence, the
music changes to a peaceful type and you will see the robots you were
controlling laying at the entrance to the room with the "Devil's
Machine" all of them battered up beyond repair. Then balls of light rise
from each robot one at a time and leave. The scene changes to Saturn
Valley where Ness's friend wait beside the lifeless bodies left after
the robot transformation. The balls of light from the robots enter each
of the bodies and the characters get up as if they had come back to
life. Poo will demonstrate "PSI Farewell" and disappear back to his
homeland. Each of the other characters receive a letter in a gift box
from their friends or relatives. Jeff gets one from Tony, Paula gets one
from the Preschool, and Ness gets a letter from his mother at home. Jeff
stays with his father, Dr. Andonuts, and Paula will ask you to escort
her home. Whether you answer yes or no, you will be able to explore all
of the areas freely, although you will not be able to save your game.
The same peaceful (and eventually annoying)
music plays every where you go and you will not run into any enemies
anywhere. Many people will thank you for saving the world (and you
certainly deserve it after playing this long game). When you are ready
to end the game, escort Paula home and then proceed to your house where
you will get a warm welcome from Ness's mom and sister. You can choose
to end the game or continue your explorations. Should you choose to end,
the credits will roll after a short talk between Ness and his family.
The credits will show each of the characters, even the almost
insignificant ones, all in a basic order of the time you met them. You
will then be able to see the pictures you took throughout your journey
as the credits of the makers of the game roll by. When all is done, you
will hear a loud knocking, and will once again control Ness. If you walk
downstairs and open the door Pickey will appear and give you a message
from Pokey saying that he will get his revenge. You know what this
means. A SEQUEL!!!
