HALEWOOD COUNTRY PARK FRIDAY 9 OCTOBER 1998

This event was blessed by perfect weather for the two hours between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. In contrast to the weather before and after the event!

Geoff Regan brought along his 8 inch f6 Dobsonion telescope, while I brought my 6 inch f4 Dobsonion. LAS members Juan Rivero and Dave Sakho also helped the 20 visitors to get good views of Jupiter and Saturn. Geoff also did a slide show (using the Liverpool Astronomical Society slides).

One member of the public brought a 60 mm refractor, so there were three telescopes for people to use. Thanks to Laura, (the Knowsley Ranger on duty that night) who provided hot coffee when it was needed most.
