Chapter 8

Ritchie
Should I call her?
Ritchie couldn't believe it. He was supposed to go on a date with Bianca tomorrow night but all he could think about was Nikki. When he first saw her he hadn't remembered her at first but after history class he remembered all too well that before she'd moved to Florida he'd had the biggest crush on her. Now she looked much better than she had 3 years ago. After talking to her he had realized that his feelings were still there. The problem was he knew Bianca. She wasn't that popular with the girls but the guys had a rumour going on that she was a slut. Of course Ritchie wanted to find out, what guy wouldn't? But he had major feelings for Nikki. He knew that Bianca would find a way to get back at him if he let her down. Even though she wasn't popular she still had major power at school. An idea popped into his head. After all, before Jacqui and Sean had gotten together, Sean had had at least 2 girlfriends if not more at the same time. Why couldn't Ritchie do it? He didn't see any reason why not after all Nikki and Bianca would probably never talk to each other. It was brilliant that way he'd have a date for tomorrow with Bianca and the day after with Nikki. He picked up the phone and dialed Nikki's number. Nikki picked up the phone. "Nikki?" "Yeah, who's this?" She asked. "It's Ritchie." He replied. "Listen if you aren't doing anything Thursday night, I was wondering if you wanted to go out." He continued. Nikki paused for a second before answering. "Sure why not?" "Great I'll pick you up at 8:00." Ritchie said and hung up. This was going great. Now all he had to do was call Bianca to make sure their date was still on.

Lacey
Is he gonna kiss me?
So far the date was going ok for Lacey. J hadn't tried anything freaky, sure he'd had a few drinks but not enough to make him drunk. Now he was driving them home. They'd just dropped off Jacqui at her house and now he was driving Lacey home. She felt a little uncomfortable with a guy she barely knew and Sean had had too much too drink and he was passed out in the back seat. J was great though, he talked and flirted with her the whole date. He was probably just tolerating her though. It was impossible for a guy like him to be interested in her. They got to her house and J got out to walk her to the door. "So I guess this is over." Lace said. He stared at her. "Yeah I guess." "I had a great time tonight." Lacey said. "Me too." He started walking away and Lacey realized he wasn't gonna kiss her. Lacey decided she needed to be brave. "J wait!" she said. He turned around and she kissed him long and hard on the lips. She was really surprised as he kissed her back, but glad she'd done it. "Bye! Call me!" She said unlocking her house and going inside. She then realized that she hadn't given him her number. She ran outside to catch hime but he'd already drived off. Oh well Sean had her number, J could get it from him.

Steph
The dream becomes reality
The next day Steph opened her locker and checked her hair in the mirror. It looked horrible of course. She'd hardly slept last night cuz of a dream she'd had that Mel and Scott got back together. She couldn't believe that kept her awake. Scott wasn't even her boyfriend she was obssesing about him too much. She looked down the hall to the direction of Scott's locker. She gasped at the sight that met her eyes. "It can't be…" she whispered to herself. What she saw was Scott and Mel standing by his locker kissing. She couldn't believe it. She had to hold back her tears, it wasn't like something had even happened between her and Scott and he probably loved Mel after all they'd been together for 2 years. "Steph?" She turned around and saw Lacey smiling at her. "what's up?" Lacey looked at Steph carefully. "Something happen?" "Yeah,look at those two isn't it sick??" Steph said. "What's wrong with you aren't you glad Mel and Scott are back together?" Lacey asked. "No Lace, I hate that bitch. He could've been with me." "Don't tell me you have feeling for him Steph!" "It's not my fault, he's so sexy." Steph said. "Out of all the guys here you had to pick him Steph?" "I know, it really gets on my nerves but I just feel like I've gotta have him. He feels the same I know it." Steph said. "Well there's nothing wrong with having a crush just stay away from him, ya know play it safe." Lacey said. "What do ya mean it's not like he like me or anything." Steph almost laughed when she thought how desperate she must look. "Wait Lace do you know something I don't?" "No not really, but on your first day here I noticed him scoping you out but I wrote him a note asking and he said he felt nothing." Lacey said. "well it doesn't matter anyways I'll find someone else I don't really have a choice, I don't want Mel to hate me. So how was your date yesterday?" Steph asked. "Great, J was so great and so hot but get this he was 19! And we kissed. Well actually I kissed him but he kissed me back." Lacey said as they got to their class.

Abs
Staring at Jacqui
Abs felt so dead in english class. He stared at Jacqui. She was so beautiful. He wished she wasn't taken. He noticed Amber was watching him from the desk next him. She was probably just mad and thought he wanted to break up Jacquie and Sean. The truth was he wanted much more than that. He wanted to just be with her. Forever. He'd never had these kind of strong feelings for a girl before. Except for one time 2 years ago but he pushed that thought out of his mind… It had been feeling for Amber, his best friend but he knew he had to overcome them cuz she was his best friend and nothing more. He'd finally gotten over it last year. He groaned as he saw Lauren also watching him. She was really sweet and deserved someone much better than him that had his heart reserved for another girl. Lauren passed him a note. It said:
baby, wanna go out tonite?

Just then another note landed on his desk. It was from amber. Abs STOP watching Jacqui don't you get she's taken??? He saw Amber looking angrily at him. He wrote Lauren an answer: Sorry, I've got plans.
Abs
He passed the note to Lauren and watched a dissapointed look cross her face as she read it. To Amber he wrote Amber,
I'm not watching Jacqui and don't push your nose in my biz.
Amber read the note and scribbled on a piece of paper and passed it to him. Abs, I'm not pushing my nose, I care for Jacquie she's my friend and I don't want you to ruin her great relationship with Sean. Abs wrote:
If I didn't know you better I'd think you're jealous! Amber angrily wrote:
Abs, I'm not jealous don't you get that I don't want you, Jacqui or Sean to get hurt??? Abs threw the note in the trash. Amber could really get on his nerves sometimes.

Bianca
The end of the date… Or not…
Bianca and Ritchie were near the end of their date. Things were getting pretty hot and heavy between them. They'd been kissing for over an hour now, parked in Ritchie's car in front of Bianca’s house. “Why don't we go inside?" She suggested. Her parents were out of town the whole week so she had the house to herself. “I’d love to." Ritchie said getting out of the car and following Bianca inside.

I guess the guys were right
So Bianca really was a slut. Who cared? Ritchie thought to himself. They hadn't done it. Yet. They were kissing on Bianca's couch as she pulled of his shirt. "I want you Ritchie..” She said in a breathy voice. She was so sexy, her body was model perfect. But suddenly he realized he couldn’t do this. He felt he owed it to Nikki to not have sex with Bianca. “Bianca I'm sorry but I can't do this." Ritchie said buttoning up his shirt. "Why not baby?" She ran her hand oover his body seductivly. "Oh I get it you're a virgin right? You lied at that silly truth or dare game to look like a man didn't you? Don’t worry,I can wait hon."Bianca said. "No it's not that, I'm just not attracted to you. And I don't want you." He said. "And by the way I'm not a virgin." He called as he was leaving. "I'll get back at you!!! I swear you won't get away with this!" She steamed as he walked out of the door. "Screw you!!!" She added as he slammed the door in her face.
