"I can't believe I'm stuck with Bianca as my history partner." Lacey complained bitterly. "I know, it'll probably be hell working with her." Steph agreed. "Whitman's such a bitch for not letting us choose our partners." Lacey said. "I know." "You're so lucky you got Scott, he's normal and cute, which is more than I can say for Bianca." Steph's phone ringing interrupted Lacey. Steph picked up her light blue cordless phone. "Yeah, hello."
"Steph, it’s Scott."
"Oh, hey Scott."
"Do you wanna get together tomorrow and ya know, start that project we gotta do?"
"Well, I can't tomorrow I gotta babysit my sis, how bout day after?"
"Sure, see ya."
"Bye Scott."
"What did he want?" Lacey questioned her after she hung up. "Just to set a date for the history thingy, why did ya think he was gonna ask me out or something?" Steph laughed sarcastically. "Why not? It'll probably be hard working together with all that sexual tension between you too." Lacey commented. "Shut up Lace, you watch too much TV, there was never anything between us and never will be, he can stay with Mel for all I care." Steph said. "Steph, he's doing just that, but they were together waaay too long it's time for some change." Lacey said. "Hey Dawson's Creek is starting now we almost missed it." Lacey said changing the subject and turning on the TV. It was weird talking to Steph, she felt like she was betraying Melanie who was her friend for a much longer time than Steph, but love and friendship were 2 whole different things weren't they? "Joey is so lucky to have someone like Dawson, don’t you think? I mean it's like so cool to go out with a friend, that way you know loadsa stuff bout one another. I wish I had a guy like that." Steph said with a sigh. "Nope. Actually I don't think it's that cool cuz then you know too much about the guy and there's no mystery." Lacey said. "You know the same thing could happen with Amber and Abs. I may not know them too long but they're definatly like Dawson and Joey don't ya think? It'd probably be so romantic, after all those years of sexual tension they just let go and decide to kiss and it's really passionate and steamy cuz they express what they've been holding back." Steph said. "When you put it that way it does sound great."Lacey said.
Nikki
"Hello?" She picked up the phone. "Nikki? It's Bianca."
"Whatcha want?"
"Nothing special, I just wanna apoligize for that little thing I did in the bathroom but I was sorta pissed off, catching Ritchie with Scott and all that I pretended to be his girlfriend."
"What did you say?"
"I caught Ritchie fooling round with Scott. Actually Ritchie was making the moves on Scott and Scott was saying he had a girl the Ritchie kissed him but he pulled away saying he was straight and loved Melanie." Bianca lied.
"You sure that's what happened?" Nikki asked skeptically.
"Hon, that was Ritchie and besides what reason do I have to lie to you I don’t want that fag."
"I guess ya right."
"So we cool?"
"I guess."
Nikki hung up and just then the phone rang again. This time it was Ritchie."Nik, I wanna talk with you bout those rumours."
"We got nothing to talk about Ritchie, I can't believe you would hide something like that from me. We used to be good friends I guess you really did change since my move.”
"No, Nikki Wait..."
Ritchie
He was cut off by the click of the phone. He couldn’t believe she'd hung up on him like that. She hadn't even heard what he'd had to say. He hated Bianca for doing this to him. He needed to talk to someone and he knew just the person who would always believe him no matter what he said...
Melanie
"Hey Ritchie, how ya doing?"
"Like Hell."
"Why what happened?"
"You know cuz of the thing going on in school."
"It’s ok as long as Nikki believes you. She does believe you doesn't she?"
"That’s the problem. She doesn't."
"How could she? I'll call her, straighten up her head."
"No, it’s ok Mel, sweet of ya and all but I'll handle it."
"Sure? Well if you need anything call me k?"
"Yeah fine."
Melanie’s doorbell rang.
"Ritchie I gotta go someone's at the door."
"K. See ya."
"See ya. Call me later."
Mel went to answer the door. It was Scott. "Hi Baby." She kissed him. "Hey Mel." "This is a surprise, we didn't plan anything that I forgot did we?" Melanie asked. "No I just wanted to surprise you and about our date tomorrow..." He said. "What about it?" Melanie asked. "I gotta cancel." He said. Mel’s face fell. "Why did something happen?" "Nope I just gotta do this project for history with Steph." Scott said. He was blowing her off for studying?!! This was suspicious cuz Scott never chose work over dates but he’d mentioned Steph was working with him. "Does this have anything to do with Steph?" "No don’t worry baby, I just wanna finish it as soon as possible so I can spend more time with you." He said. That sounded reasonable. "You’re not doing anything now are you?" Melanie asked. "Nope." Scott replied. "So come on inside." She pulled him over to the couch and they started making out.
