Chapter 10

Katie
Invitation
"Katie sweetie could you come downstairs for a moment?" Mrs. Rush called Katie. Katie came running downstairs "Yea mom?" Do you remember Adrienne Fox?" Katie looked confused for a second, then a look of realization crossed her face. "Oh, you mean that third cousin or something that got preegnant when she was 16 and her boyfriend was 18 or something." "Yes that’s her, you 2 used to be really good friends when you were little, anyways her parents finally gave in and a month ago when she turned 17 they signed the consent for marriage. So she’s getting married next week and Dad and I are going so I wanted to know if you’d come with us." Katie’s mom asked. "Why not I haven’t seen Adrienne in like 4 yrs. Or something." Katie replied. "So I take that as a yes?” her mom questioned. "Yeah.” Katie said.

Jacqui
A little too much
Jacqui and Sean were hanging out at Sean’s house doing nothing. J had left 3 days ago to go back to Warrington. "Ummm Sean don’t you think you’re drinking a bit too much?” Jacqui asked. Sean was finishing up his fifth glass of vodka. "But tomorrow is our 3 month anniversery baby, besides it’s not like you aren’t drinking." He pointed out. "But I know my limits and I stopped.” She reminded him. Sean poured himself another glass. He leaned over to kiss her. Jacqui pulled away. “Sean would you stop it??” “Why I’m cool.” Sean said. “If you don’t stop it right now Sean I’m going home! And I’m serious!” She threatened. Sean quickly finished his drink and poured himself another from the nearly empty bottle. “Fine by me.” He laughed as if it were nothing important. “Fine! Then it’s over between us!” Jacqui said angrily. She was really pissed off at him. This wasn’t the first time he’d gotten drunk these past few weeks. “Bye!” Sean called out laughing as Jacqui left. He knew she’d come back. After all it wasn’t like she had a substitue boyfriend.

Amber
The Call from Jacqui
Amber heard the phone ring. “Hey.” She answered. “Amber. I’m so glad I caught you!” Jacqui was in tears. “What’s wrong Jac?” Amber asked worridly. “It’s Sean. We had this totally stupid fight about how much he drinks and I threatened to leave and not come back and he was like fine so I left. I shouldn’t have blown up like that. I also drank and of course I also got drunk a few times in my life." Jacqui said. Amber had already stopped listening after the first part. Jacqui’s words echoed in her mind-“I threatened to leave and not come back. I Left.” She started to get a little panicky. What if Abs found out. Wait a minute Jacqui hadn’t said she was looking for a replacement so Amber didn’t have to worry. She just wouldn’t tell Abs to not risk him askiing Jacqui out. “Am, you’ve gotta help me.” Jacqui said. “With what?” Amber asked. “Weren’t you listening to me? I said I need to find a new boyfriend. Got any suggestions?” Jacqui asked.

Ritchie
Forget Her
Ritchie had had a really stressful day at school. There were still rumours about him being gay. He was ready to kill Bianca for what she had done. Nikki hadn’t talked to him all day and he suspected she believed the rumours. He sat down at the kitchen table and picked up the phone. Someone picked up on the first ring. “Hello is Nikki there?” He asked. “No she went out to a movie or something. Wanna leave a message?” The voice asked. “Sure. Tell her Ritchie Neville called and to call me back.” Ritchie said. “Ok bye.” “Bye.” He hung up and looked through the mail that was laying on the table. There was a fancy cream colored envelope with gold script that was addressed to him. He looked at the return address. Adrienne Fox. A flashback of memories went through his head.He threw it in the trash without opening it. He couldn’t think about Adrienne. Not now with all the stuff going on in his life. There were just too many memories about her he’d rather forget....
