The physical part of NEXUS is known as Joseph Baran. He was born in the Earth Geographically Designated Location "Jacksonville, Florida" in the Human-Designated Sun Revolution #198 decimal 4, and is currently on an lone anthropological survey as a member of the United States Coast Guard, to better facilitate travel and investigation of "life at sea". He considers becoming an Officer to further the Mission, and because he likes swords and leadership. Results have yet to manifest.
The Ethereal Component of NEXUS consists of the various flows of all types of so-called "energies" that give life to Infinity and define its laws.
It should also be noted that the unusual meta-alchemy produced by placing the core of NEXUS into the human male matter-shell of "Joe" has produced a unique entity, utterly powerless in a cosmic sense, with a vivid imagination, magnanimous and kind personality, but great repressed frustration at being almost TOO aware. In addition, the restriction to ANY gender, much less "Human Male" irritates, like a grain of sand that has yet to produce any pearls (But then again, Joe is not an Oyster). It seems that certain genetic and biological imperatives mandated by Science on Earth have produced stumbling blocks in behavioral patterns, most notably the urge to mate, the urge to hunt, and the urge to grow more powerful. Some would say this is the so-called "will to live", but NEX/Joe is of the Nietzschian school of thought on this matter. Joe has read far too much Nietzsche for his own good.

SPINNING DUTCHMAN!
Joseph is quite tall (approximately just over 6 Quantum-Irrelevant Human English System "Feet"), and has never (inasmuch as "never" applies to the "past" and "present" domains, anyway) weighed more than 160 Local Gravitational "Pounds" in his lifecycle so far, but is "wiry". No? I heard that somewhere... Unfortunately, he is severely nearsighted, so observation of physical reality by NEXUS is perforce limited in this regard.
Joseph has spent most of its life investigating and studying the various aspects of human culture and knowledge, and attempting to apply said knowledge in the Lifecycle in the form of "understanding". Success is "iffy" thus far, but NEXUS forecasts improvement of 70% in the next one point five Sun-Revolutions, dictated by Arabic numerals in a spacial/mathematical context deliniating Sun Revolutions, that is.
NOTE 1: He prefers to be called "Joe" by the humans around him.
NOTE 2: Joe is gripped by the persistent belief that life is literally a dream, and that his real body lies in a coma somewhere, inventing his life as he sees it now. Interesting...
NOTE 3: Joe possesses many inherent skills, without any apparent training. (These are known as "talents", and NEX has devoted much spacetime energy to study of Human talents. It turns out that they're nothing special, just random bits of knowledge floating around like iron filings, attracted to the magnet of the Human Soul randomly.)
NOTE 4: Joe is not-precisely-afraid of commitment (rather he sees no point in it), and seems to think that throwing himself into huge commitments against his desires will somehow cure him of this fear. So far, success is minimal.

This same influence is held in check by the Physical, or Biological (on Earth, under the influence of Science), Component, and is the resulting application of the use of said "flows" by the Ethereal Component, which includes the "Soul", the "Spirit", and the "Mind".
This particular configuration, along with the Human Condition, were chosen by NEXUS as the last area to investigate before initiating 'Operation: Omega Singularity', also known as Transcendence in the English language of Earthbound Humans.
It should be noted that "transcendence" by its very nature is a difficult topic to define and discuss in any particular language, and this effort shall be forgone at this particular Junction.

This part of the NEXUS consists of the endless mass of disparate bits of light traveling at high speeds, known as the Internet, contained and manifested in various computerized Devices for available use at many Spacetime Designations throughout Earth's land areas. The main Manifestation of this Component, however, is "The Nexus Clone", this website in fact. You know, the thing on your screen, in front of your eyes... oh, f_ck it.
