The Locusts

Zoot was the first and respected leader of the locusts, he was a warrior who believed in 'Power and Chaos'. He will do anything to rule the city and has many followers. Zoot unfortunately died while visiting Trudy and his baby in the mall. Before he became Zoot, he was just a normal, quite, shy boy named Martin.

Martin had turned into Zoot, due to the virus which he couldn't cope with, when his parents died. Zoot had kept a secret which he did not tell anyone, this was that Bray was his older brother. He resented Bray and was jealous of his brother's life, he slept with Trudy, who's heart truly favoured his brother Bray.

Zoot offered Trudy refuge with him and the baby in his tribe the Locos, but she denied the offer. Zoot's presence in the Shopping Mall was soon discovered and in his quest to save his brother from Lex, Zoot fell to his death from the mall balcony, Zoot was given a warrior's burial from his brother.

Ebony becomes leader of the locusts when she finds out about the disappearance of Zoot. She is very determined in what she wants and does anything and everything to get it. As the series goes on she becomes a mallrat and then becomes the city leader. She was determined to kill Tai-san when she found out the equation for the antidote but failed.

Ebony was known as 'Zoot's Woman' she had a thing with Bray before the virus but left him for Zoot and for 'Power and Chaos'. Ebony takes pleasure in stirring things for other people and is definately a great character, she has an attitude and only looks after number one, she knows how to survive no matter what falls in her way. Ebony is the complete opposite to most of the mall rats, she doesnt strive for a better world but revels in the one the virus created, no matter how much she's put down or defeaten she picks herself up and moves on. Ebony thrives on power and fear.

Ebony was in the explosion during eagle mountain, she managed to fool Amber into believing that she and Bray had a baby, therefore making Amber leave and making everyone else believe that Amber was dead. Ebony was became a mall rat after the locos tried to tear her up just before eagle mountain, she left the mallrats after causing conflict and started to lead the militia. She viewed this as their first line of defence, however Bray believed it to be an attack. Ebony was the first to realise the chosen weren't actually finished but in hiding. The Guardian framed Ebony for all the mysterious disappearences by planting Spike's body in her pool, Bray came and found it and immediately didn't believe her. The Guardian tried to have Ebony terminated by the jetti but Ebony survived after the Guardian assumed she drowned. Ebony fled for the hills leaving the mall rats, claiming she owed them nothing.

Ebony rescued Bray with the help of Lex and they fled for the woods. When they found Amber, Bray hated Ebony for what she did, and nearly killed her in a fight. Ebony has strength and courage which keeps her going and knows how to deal with her enemies.
