Er, this could get scary, especially with the stuff that I have been known to rant about. I'm opinonated, so sue me!
-Blonds-
I know this will sound wrong, since I am a blond and I'm writing on the subject, but hey, we all do that. The thing that bugs me most is that most blonds sit there and act easy, like being blond can get them any guy. Granted, there are some out there who aren't that way and who will get mad at me for writing this and will call me a hypocrite because I'm not that way, but this is just my opinion. It really annoys me how they can sit there and attract all of the guys in the area just by saying "Hi" and wearing some slutty outfit. That just bugs me.
I don't know why people would want to do that in the first place. Why would they want to be known as easy? I just don't get it, but that's just me. Its overly annoying, especially when some of the blonds that do that are actually brunettes that dyed their hair to my color. It surprises me that they would do that just for popularity or guys. Its like they can't be who they are and attract people, so they have to be someone different. I don't like that.
It also bugs me when girls go around acting like just because they are more beautiful/easy/have more guys than us that they can do anything they want and can hold it over the "lower" people's heads. That bugs me, because most of them are the snotty blond girls who dyed their hair to get it that color because of some fashon trend.
-Girls Who Hold Things Over Everyone Else's Heads-
This is another thing that I don't like. If no one has figured this out yet I am not one of the popular people, and don't plan on becoming one any day soon. They politics and fashon involved is enough to make me want to puke and kick some of their annoying little whiny butts out of my way. Er, what can I say? I'm passonate about this subject. Okay, back to the rant subject.
These kinds of girls use what ever social object/person that they can to get one step ahead of their peers. They hold it so far over people's heads that they have to find something to beat the first person, starting and endless circle of winning something that'll be pointless once High School ends. There are also some girls who, once they get a guy, have to let the rest of us know that they have them. Those kinds of girls don't even know how to treat a guy so that the guys just doesn't get mad at them and dump them.
There was a girl at a church camp that did that this summer. I know, church camp, but still, things happen. There was one boy that practically all of the girls liked, and by the second or third day she was going out with him. Some people would just be content enough to have that, and maybe talk about the guy some, but that's just because they were going out and liked each other. She didn't think of it that way, and took probably hours (that may be an exaggeration, I'm not too sure) to hold the fact that she was going out with him over everyone else's heads.
There was also the fact that while she could go do anything, and even casually flirt with any other guy, he would do so much as talk to a girl for a long period of time, or even be alone with them, and she would freak. (Hey, the guy was one of my good friends, it was annoying to see that happening, so I talked to him while she was off doing other things and he was being the good boyfriend. Sheesh.)It just wasn't fair to him that she would do that. There was also the fact that anything they did she would tell the cabin. Granted, there were a few things that she didn't tell the whole cabin (but she/he/both told me) but practically everything was said. It was almost sickening to see that happen.
It really annoys me when people do this just to make others feel bad or worse. It doesn't do anything in the long run, taking any bit of leverage from the person/object, but it isn't right to do that to other people who probably look up to them anyway.
-People In General-
Okay, so I might sound mean, and I might sound like I have a problem with everything, but this IS a rants section. I just have problems with things and people, and when I don't spill them I tend to repeat myself over and over until I annoy the person to the point of telling me to shut up.
Okay, onto the rant part of this. People in general bug me. Its not all people, but some of them really get on my nerves. These people are the majority, the followers as I like to call them. They are the kinds of people that always follow someone else in a little group, doing whatever they say, no matter what it happens to be. That always struck me as odd, or crazy. I mean, why would anyone want to have all of their decisions made for them? Why would they want someone else to rule their lives and them have no say?
I guess that I am one of the people that other people are inclined to follow. I try to discourage all of the people that follow me though, so I don't actually have a following. I can see it all around me in school. There's always a leader, but then there's multiple multiples of people following them, doing whatever they say. Its not the leaders that bug me, but the followers who act almost brainless. I can understand that some people like being told what to do, or that like following people for whatever reason that they have, but some of this stuff is just insane.
I guess that this kind of follows along with the saying that "Military Intellegence" is one of those things that isn't correct. From what I've seen there's very few officers that can function without being told what to do every step of the way. I can't understand how people live that way, but sometimes I tend to make a point of being who I am, and not being what other people want me to be. I know that makes my mom mad at me sometimes, but I'm not going to lose sight of who I am just because someone wants me to. Thank you for reading another odd rant by me.
-School-
This is one of those things that has been bugging me for a while now. They said last year that once I got into High School that I wouldn't be bored, and that I'd have hours of homework. I'm taking 4 Honors classes and year 3 of a language and I consistantly have no homework. I also use my Seminar/Study Hall period, but most of the time spent in there is goofing off or doing something that doesn't pertain to school.
The really annoying thing is that when I'm in these Honors classes and then the teacher persistanly treats us like we are stupid and like we can't do anything. We're supposed to be the smart students, the ones that will understand things and that will be able to go faster than the other students. That doesn't seem to happen though. Its like I'm eternally bored and wasting hours of my life away, years even. I think that my Drama class is more worth while than almost any other class except for Biology 1H and Algebra 2H. It's pathetic. I'm taking an advanced English class so that I can learn how to write better, since that is something that I tend to like to do. What do we do in that class? We read short stories and do stupid pieces of busy work! That's really annoying.
We were also told that the busy work would be taken away, but I've been here for a quarter of a school year and am starting to think that I could miss a week of school and practically have no problem making it up except for the in class stuff that I would miss. Somedays I can't believe that I'm missing valuable sleep to go somewhere and be bored practically to the point of tears. It really is pathetic. They also make us get up so early that by 10am we're all starving and then not allowed to eat in class anyway.
Something else that bothers me about school is the hallways. There should seriously be a fast lane for the people that are going to be late because they have a class on the other side of the building, or for the people that don't like standing stuffed in a crowded hallways as people talk in groups that block the whole hall up ahead. That gets just a little annoying to sit there and watch people just talk, but when you try to brush past them they say that there are easier ways around, even if the easiest way was between all of them.
I can understand the people that have fun some days puropsely blocking the halls, but the people that do it everyday and make it hard for the rest of us bugs me. Something else along those lines are the couples that sit there by the stairwells and make out before going to class. The rest of us really don't want to see that, and we don't want to see it in front of the bus too. Its not like its a bad thing, but if they don't like people giving them weird looks or surrounding them to watch they shouldn't do that in a public place. People tend to like to watch or make fun. People watching can be considered a sport, and sometimes people take that way to literally.
-Other Rants-(The typed ones)
-Ends-
This is just to say that I am not trying to be mean or anything here, or sound like I have a problem with everything. I'm just trying to express my feelings on subjects here that I can't do anywhere else. Sorry if I came across that way, I'm generally a happy and nice person, but all of us have our things that we need to rant about.
