Padmé Naberrie Amidala-- Episode I-II
Smart, independant and unmistakably beautiful, Padmé Naberrie remains one of the most complex, yet so mysterious characters of the Star Wars Prequels. She was born into a small family, but by the time she was 8, she had entered the Political world by means of the Apprentice Legislature. At the age of 14, after the appropriate training and knowledge, Padmé was elected Queen of Naboo, at which time she started to go by the name of Amidala. It was during her time was Queen that she witnessed how potentially vulnerable her position was. Though she refused to let down her guard and simply leave matters to be tended to by her advisors. Instead, she insisted that she speak for herself. Iron-willed and ready for anything, Amidala was faced with the danger of the Trade Federation, which was slowly taking over her small planet. She was taken to Tatooine by the Jedi where she posed as Padme, one of the maids to the Queen, as her own maid pretended to be the reigning monarch of Naboo. It was there that she met Anakin Skywalker, though he was only a young boy. From there, she went to Coruscant, where she went into a Conference. She returned to Naboo, where Viceroy Nute Gunray was still imposing a great threat upon Naboo. Padmé, with the help of Jar Jar Binx, asked the Gungans for their help. Gunray was defeated, and the land was left in peace once more.
Years later, Padmé Naberrie Amidala stepped down from her position as Queen and took post as the Senator. Her nature led her again into trouble, and the Jedi were called upon for help. She came across Anakin again, though this time she was 24, and Anakin was 19. Almost done in as she slept, the true weight of what was happening really started to be revealed as Obi Wan came back with the news that a Clone Army had been made by order of the Senate ten years earlier. Padme and Anakin, after stopping on Tatooine in search of Shmi, took off towards Geonisis after receiving an urgent call from Obi Wan, who had been captured on the planet. There, they too were captured and put into a ring where they were presumably to be killed. It was at this point that Padmé professed her love for Anakin. Remarkably escaping the horrors in the ring, the Jedi arrived with Clone Army and took on the troops of Battle Droids filtering out to attack them. Padmé and Anakin went back to Naboo, where they were married...something that went against the code of a Jedi Knight, and would lead to the fall of the most powerful Jedi of all...
