Anakin Skywalker-- Episode I-II

Having had a powerful mind from the start, Anakin Skywalker will inevitably become the most powerful Jedi ever, Darth Vader. Though before he turned to the Dark Side, there must have been a time when he was normal, a boy, with feelings. At the age of 9, Anakin lived with his mother Shmi as a slave on Tatooine, where he was gambled on and traded with other slave owners. He lived in tiny living quarters, but nothing doused his spirits, even in the poor condition he was in. He was a bright boy, and was often found amidst an array of mechanical parts, where he built a droid able to speak the English language and communicate with him. It was there that he first met Amidala, who was disguised as a maid. He took pride in showing her his work. It was there that a bet was made. Qui-Gon Jinn, noticing his potential as a Jedi, made a gamble that could either free Anakin, or cost him the Queen's ship. Anakin was set to race in a Pod Racer, and with a bit of luck, he won. He was freed, but his mother had to stay behind as a slave on Tatooine.

Anakin was taken before the Jedi Masters, and though somewhat reluctant to train him, as a they sensed a dark force emitting from the boy, he was taken to be trained as a Jedi Knight. For ten years he was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi, and he grew to be quite powerful for a young Jedi. But, his constant thoughts of Padme drove him to long for the day when he would see her again.

Anakin met Padme again at the age of 19. He seemed keen to proclaim that he could not spend another day without her, but at the time, Padme simply waved him off. He was ordered to protect the Senator Padme from harm, but she seemed to have a knack for trouble. The two of them left for Tatooine in search of Shmi, but Anakin found her an inch from death and she passed before him. It was then that he broke two primary Jedi rules. He knew hatred, and he knew anger as he killed the band of creatures who had imprisonned his mother. After this, he took off to Geonisis with Padme after they heard the distress signal from Obi-Wan. He was taken-aback, but pleased all the same when Padme proclaimed that she loved him in the gravest of circumstances as they too were captured, just as Obi-Wan had been. Thrown into an arena where they would meet their death, the Jedi Masters arrived with the Clone Army that had been made for the Senate. WIth that, they fought the droid army that threatened to take their lives. Together, Anakin and Padme returned to Naboo where they were married, Anakin breaking the most enforced rule: knowing love.

Then again, you'd never know it...that a man so simple and intentionably pure as Anakin would fall prey to the Dark Side. And then, if you think about it, it was really his love and need for Padmé that drove him to become Darth Vader. Pretty ironic, isn't it?
