Digital Corner SIG & MS Office (Publisher 2002). Mike McEnery (editor) will demonstrate how he creates our great-looking newsletters. The Publisher desktop publishing program makes it easy to design print and Web promotional materials for your business. This latest version of Publisher offers professional design guidance, thousands of customizable templates, 15 new design sets, powerful integration with Office, and enhanced support for commercial printing and Web publishing.

May 11, 2002 Wireless Network - Jim Rutledge will show us how to Installing and setting up a home wireless network between multiple computers.
June 8, 2002 PC Clinic - Bring in your computer for spring cleaning and a tune-up. The gurus will blow it out, clean you keyboard and mouse. Upon request, the gurus will teak your OS, offers hints and tips to improve your performance, and offer general trouble-shooting along with some common questions with your Windows system.

Beginners SIG - If you have basic Windows questions, the gurus will walk you through them and help you better understand how to use your computer.

July 13, 2002 No Meeting (Enjoy your month off!) For those with nothing to do, we are planning a field trip to visit the Mac group in Palatine. The Northwest of Us (TNWofU) meets on the same second Saturday as us so this will give us a good opportunity to visit another computer club. Their normal attendance is 150+ members.
August 10, 2002 OpenOffice - Lester Larkin will demonstrate OpenOffice software an affordable alternative in office productivity suites that runs on multiple operating systems, including the Solaris[ Operating Environment, Microsoft Windows, and Linux. The suite has a simple, easy-to-use interface and contains full-featured applications including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and graphics capabilities.

    October 12, 2002 Q&A Roundtable (Ask the Gurus) This form will replace the Video Editing presentation which will be rescheduled for a later date. The gurus will address any question that you may have.
    November 16, 2002 (rescheduled meeting date) CD Burners - Phil Grimm has tentatively volunteered to do a presentation on CD Burning with EZ CD Creator and Nero Burn software. Mr. G. volunteered display the History of Atari Computers and will bring in his collection of 8-bit and 16-bit computers. Mr. G will also be displaying his CAD computer system developed by MarsGraphic
    December 7, 2002 Christmas Party & SwapFest - The annual Christmas party will be held at the University of Illinois Annex, Rt. 45 and Rt.120, Grayslake, Il. Bring a dish to share, and any computer related software or hardware you want to sell or swap. There will be music, games, raffles, and plenty of FUN!
    January 11, 2003 Backup Programs - Want to back up your entire hard drive or just a particular folder or folders. Then we will demonstrate several programs that will allow you to perform this task. With PowerQuest's Drive Image you can create an exact image of your hard drive for backup and disaster recovery, or to upgrade your system, quickly and easily.
