Rhyme Time – Halfway Serious First Poem
Here I find myself at summer school,
Sometimes I feel like a fool.
But it’s all right,
My future is bright,
When go to sleep at night.
I have a plan,
And know I can,
Accomplish my dream, but not in a stream,
That would be funny,
But I just want more money,
Education can take me there,
It can take me anywhere,
Getting that degree,
Is certainly key,
I didn’t know I was a poet,
Then I showed it,
I make a rhyme every time,
Now let’s be serious,
Don’t be delirious,
I have to get this homework done,
Is I can have fun,
That’s what life is about,
Don’t you doubt,
I will be happy,
Maybe a bit sappy,
See I am not about greed,
I just want to succeed,
I will push and shove,
To get the job done,
I will be the one,
To get ‘er done.
