Five kinds of Conflict
1. Data- A disagreement of numbers, or who owns something such as acres of land. This type of conflict usually arises because of misinterpretations or incorrect representation.
2. Values- This conflict is brought up through disagreement of people’s values and beliefs such as religion, abortion, and cloning.
3. Behavior- Conflicts can develop due to people’s behaviors; which can occur with no intention of causing a conflict. There are many behavioral differences among cultures and this conflict becomes apparent among those cultures.
4. Relationship/Structure- Relationship conflict is between people and it is most common where class or status is a part of society. The structural conflict is more apparent in places of employment where there are differences in goals of the parties that are included.
5. Combination- In many conflicts there are combinations of conflicts that arise. This category is meant to include any or all of the conflicts that are previously stated.
