Conflict arises when information is falsely presented or misunderstood.

2) VALUES CONFLICT: Arises due to varying opinions and personal beliefs on
subject matter such as religion, abortion and stem cell research.
SOLUTION: Bridge the Paradox
3) BEHAVIOR CONFLICT: Arises when there are exceptions to what is seen by
society as being "appropriate" behavior. For instance, in some places burping
after a meal is the highest compliment the chef can receive In some cultures
whistling from a crowd is equal to booing in others. A more serious instance
would be hitting in a relationship.
SOLUTION: set clear limits and enforce them
4) RELATIONSHIP/STRUCTURES: These two types of conflict are closely related
in that they are both questions of "jurisdiction". In the relationship
arena, this conflict can result when a hierarchy is put into place, and there
becomes a dominant in the relationship. The people in the relationship are no
longer seen as equals. Structural conflict tends to be related to job based
hierchies. Conflict arises when there is a difference in goals between the
parties involved.
SOLUTION: carefully analyze the situation
5) COMBINED CONFLICT: quite simply, combined conflict is a combination of
two or more of the described conflicts above.
SOLUTION: combined methods must be used according to the
various types of conflict involved.
