Bridging a Paradox: When two or more parties are engaged in an argument, it
is oftentimes a difficult task to resolve the issue leaving both parties
feeling as though they have, in a sense, won. Bridging a paradox involves
finding a solution to a problem that effeciently satisfies the desires of each
party, compromise is key. In the event that the arguing parties can not resolve
things on their own, a third party may be neccessary in order to vact as a
referree, validating each of the opposing arguments and assisting in
identifying the major areas of conflict, thus aiding in resolution. As said by a
previous psy 303 student, "the challenge then becomes how to make each side
recognize “the problem” as the enemy, and not the other party."
