Since 1981, the Drexel Theatres have been Central Ohio's first source for Independent Film and the best of Hollywood and International Cinema. The Drexel mission is to present a consistent venue for important films, whether they be Indie hits or the finest of International Cinema. Patrons to our theatres are active participants in the motion picture industry, not just passive consumers of mass market hits. When you visit the Drexel, your box office pick can help determine which vanguard directors, actors and screenwriters will be the next big names at the Oscars. We strive at all our locations to specialize in simply the best film from around the world.

Drexel special cinema events, like the favorite CASABLANCA NIGHT, put you right into the action and setting of your favorite movies. CINEMA FEASTS present evenings of cinema and the first-class foods and wines featured on screen. The SCIENCE FICTION Marathon, in its 18th year heads a regular lineup of mini-festivals, from HONG KONG film to our annual SUMMER KIDS MOVIE FEST.

Drexel Theatres are your alternative to the megaplex moviegoing experience. We are by choice the small guys in town, providing more intimate, personal settings in which to enjoy a perfect evening out with friends-a great movie, fine food and good conversation. Independent, local ownership is quickly responsive to the best and most discriminating patrons in the city. Satisfying them is our job and our pleasure.

Each Drexel Theatre is located in an area of the city with lots of great dining opportunities. Grandview Avenue in Grandview Heights and Historic East Main Street in Bexley are lovely old storefront neighborhoods where our patrons will find some of the finest restaurants in the city. The Drexel-owned Radio Café is connected to the East Main Street site in Bexley and features fabulous grilled panini sandwiches and salads, beer, wine and spirits to accompany gourmet coffees and desserts. This quaint sidewalk cinema café with charming umbrella tables outside three seasons of the year is best described by one Drexel aficionado as a jewel: "sidewalk café, good food, good conversation. IT'S JUST LIKE PARIS!"

In October, 2001, the Drexel Theatres Group was proud to have a hand in bringing downtown movie-going back to Columbus. The Arena Grand Theatre, a state-of-the-art 8-screen all-THX upscale theatre, is located in the exciting Arena District. The theatre is managed by the Drexel Theatres Group.
