Calabro Conversion Part III
Richard's Revenge
Subject: Richard Anzalone
Male, Age 16
Role: Survivor
Current Assignment: Travel to 2000 AD and protect Zuk
Mission: Save the past from a hellish future
A figure
flew ran to a lonely school on the hill. He took no hesitation to run into the
notorious Pomperaug High to search for something of value. He sharply turned
right and ran as fast he could to the nurse’s office about 3/4 the way down the
hall way. He busted through the door and a large group of friends he recalled
hovered an individual. “Joe...I don’t think he is going to make it. Zuk can’t
hold this attack any more,” said Caitlin, who was monitoring his status the
entire time. A gruff cough echoed through the building as several as then a
choke of breathlessness and then a sign. Zuk closed his eyes and released his
spirit to the other world. Caitlin felt his heart, and then his pulse.
“He’s...he’s...dead....” Everyone’s sorrow for their esteemed hero built up, as
the huddle burst into a tearful group. Many would think a wish of the medallion
could solve this and wish Zuk back to life, but alas, he was already wished
back once and this time died of natural elements beyond his control.
Joe Zukoski has died....
Everyone
took the grief of this event in their own ways and split up to their own
separate lives. Then, after about half a year later, an invasion took place. A
pair of clones with mechanical hearts as black as night, one representing the
strongest of the Calabro Soldiers. These “android clones” of Joe the Strong and
a Majin Philibuster began to rage havoc within the town of Middlebury, close to
Pomperaug. But with the gifts returned the Calabro Crew they took on these
opponents without thinking. But alas, each fell victim to the incredible power
of the android clones. First, Bastedo...felt his arms being ripped off as the
evil ones used his truck and tied him to it and ran him off a cliff. Gilday
felt the wrath of an explosion bigger then any known, from Joe the Strong.
Calabro was sliced by Joe the Strong and was burnt to a crisp.
15 years later...
The
menacing Android clones took apart every city near Pomperaug. But the school
and the surrounding area were disastrous, like a ghost town. It was wrecked up
looking like an Earthquake took it out. But the Clones were attacking another
important establishment...Rochambeau Middle School. The pair landed in the
large parking lot, only yards from the learning area. Each giggled at the
thought of how this building will crash to the earth. They reached out they
hands and flattened them parallel to the Southbury middle school. A ball of
“chi” appeared around their flattened palm, “Heh, BOOM!” Joe the Strong shouted
as he fired his shot, followed by Majin Philibuster’s toward the school. A
massive explosion sounded through the serenity of the surrounding as the whole
middle school blew up. But before this pair was ready to turn and run, a lone
figure flew in from behind them. He was a middle age man wearing armor of the
warrior race of the Saiya-jin, a composed battle vest-like jacket that
protected the user from serious bodily damage. He landed in front of them and
snickered at their destruction. “Well, well, Brian. We meet again, except this
will be the last time for you...” Majin Philibuster hissed. “Damn bots, you’ll
never take me down. I am stronger then you and this is your end.... AHHHHH...”
As the man named Brian shouted at the top of his lungs, his hair burst into a
heavenly gold and his eyes a brilliant emerald. A flame aura of fired wrapped
it’s mystical power around the hero to heighten his power slightly.
“So
Brian, you change to your most powerful self. That of a Super Scholar, well
you’ll need more then that to stop us!” Joe the strong shouted to the Super
Scholar. Both Android clones dashed toward the hero, Majin Philibuster
zanzokened behind him and Joe the Strong attack from the front. Brian ducked
once from each strong and slow punch. He maneuvered quite easily through each
wave of punches. But finally, Brian caught a punch from Majin Philibuster and
kneed him into the stomach. Giving the opportunity to leave Joe the Strong
temporarily disabled as he watched his companion get hurt. For that opening,
Brian Overhead slammed him into the ground. He took a leap into the air and
flew up higher to avoid any nasty attacks by these clones. But the two followed
a minute afterward. They flew past our hero and lunged at him from above him.
Joe the Strong landed the first hit and nailed Brian into his chest with his
head. Brian took a dive way below. Majin Philibuster zanzokened to the ground
and caught the hero. He held him firmly in a bone cracking headlock. “Prepare
to die.... Warrior!” hissed the demonic incantation of Philibuster. As Brian
was about to let go of him and die, another figure from behind flew in and
kicked the ma-jin, releasing his grip on Brian and he flew a few feet forward
with a smacking headache. He got and turned to see another hero, “What...so,
you finally healed after that nasty broken arm I gave you...you bitch. Why
doesn’t Philibuster have to come.”? Well, bring it on!” Philibuster shouted
back to his enemies. He helped Brian up to his feet, “Brian, we have to fuse
and vanquish these foes. We have to try, I know we keep messing up, but we have
to try.” Brian agreed.
Meanwhile,
Joe the Strong hovered off the ground, watching relentlessly what was to
happen. Our heroes stood next to each other, parallel to each other. There they
performed the fusion dance. A simple movement, such as a rise in the left leg
to a turn of the right arm was all it took to become the ultimate creation for
fighting. After a few maneuvers the pair got closer into the dance and to each
other and connected together by touching each other’s hands. But unfortunately,
Brian put his finger up when they touched, breaking the perfect reflexive
dance. The two were sucked into each other in a whirl of energy. But, instead
of the muscular and powerful fused warrior of Broe2, a much weaker and useless
being emerged. Which was a very elderly and frail image of Broe2. “Oh...well,
it seems some asshole in your little party messed up the dance. Well, you are
going to die.” As was seen by the evil ones, Broe2 was more as a very skinny
old man with no powers at all. “Oh bummer, we are doomed.” Broe2 stated. He
tried to run away, but he was too old to really run and tried to just walk. “We
got to break fusion, we got to.” shouted Broe2. But the icy blade of death from
Joe the strong shattered across the head of Broe2. There the fusion broke into
two separate entities of their former selves. Philibuster was bleeding very
badly and lost his arm in the process. Brian was unconscious, but still intact.
Joe reached into his pocket, a coffee caplet. “I got to let him live. I have no
chance of making it through this one.” Philibuster whispered to himself. He fed
the caplet to Brian and the power began to surge back to into his body. The
Android clones flew off, believing they defeated the pair. Philibuster then
fainted into his own death. Brian got up suddenly, aware what has happened. He picked
up Philibuster and flew him off back to the high school.
When he
landed. He found a young boy of 16 sitting near the basement doors near the
destroyed school “sanctuary” for the refugees whom survived. “Father, what has
happened to poor Mr. Philibuster?” asked the youth. “Richard...he is dead. The
clones killed him and decided to save me by giving me the last coffee caplet.”
The boy stared wide-eyed at him and began to weep. “My master, my
friend...dead. I can’t take it anymore.” Richard said to himself. He ran all
teary eyed into the school as Tara walked out. “Is he...?” she asked. “Afraid
so, here. I’ll put him down at your lab so you can see what you can do for his
genes. I know you want to breed more Super Scholars, so here you can try It.”
answered Brian. Brian walked into the school and proceeded to the old science
section of the building and laid the body of his friend onto the table. “Rest
in Peace my friend. We won’t for all eternity,” he said to the dead body. He
sat for a moment, when Richard walked in. “Father, is it possible that I can be
strong enough to help you fight.” asked the youth. “No, I will not allow it.
Sure, I did fight as a lad. But I was nowhere near strong enough to win. You
haven’t become what you blood has allowed you to become. If you can prove to
everyone you can change to become a Super Scholar, then I may consider it. But
no.” quoted the fatherly figure. He wanted his son to live through this mess,
and he knew that his son might never change. He gets too emotional a lot of
times. But isn’t strong enough. If somehow, his anger can be used to upgrade
his power, it’s killing two birds with one stone for him to change. “But dad,
Mr. Philibuster trained me well! I can fight very much so better then you
think. I may not be able to change, yet. But I am not going to sit around and
let this place fall apart even more.” Brian could only stare back into his son.
“You need to stay here and protect everyone. Your mother is very important to
me, and everyone else. You have to make sure she lives as well as everyone
else. But I am off now. I have to take vengeance on these clones for the blood
on their hands they faced to Philibuster.
Brian
took off from the lab and into the air to find the menaces he hated so. All
Richard could do was wait. “I know I will try to get angry and take my anger to
add to my power. Then I can change. I’ll show my father, I can help him against
this menace.” the boy thought. He walked to the outside of the school and
clenched his fists and tried to power up. He growled in a sense to get angrier
each time. Then a burst, he felt a golden “chi” flame wrap around him. He was
almost there. Now for the ignition factor, Richard tried to recall the moments
he saw what happened. The faces of Joe the Strong attacking the cities, the
people, and even his own friends, killing without a remorse or consent,
imaginary blood covered his nightmare's skies and the buildings with the
deceased citizens of the towns. The flame exploded into a larger one. “I am
almost there, just a little more.” Then, Richard felt fatigued and fell down on
his face. “Dammit, so close. I will never change.”
Richard
walked out toward the soccer field to breathe in the day. A figure flew across
the sky and landed beside him. “Dad, your back! What happened?” His father
panted a little and looked up at the sky and two other figures flew toward
them, “RICHARD, GET INSIDE...THEY’RE HERE!” the Brian shouted. Richard ran as
fast as he could to the entrance he came out of, as he saw his father prepare
to battle. Two figures landed, Majin Philibuster and Joe the Strong had landed
and were ready for a fight. The father of Richard charged up his newfound
powers and he burst into a Super Scholar. Richard was awed at the site of
seeing the power of that. He always wanted to have the power that his father
had. Brian dashed toward the Philibuster clone, but he blocked it and nailed
him to the ground with his elbow. Then he picked him up and slapped him a few
times. He turned him around and faced him toward Joe the Strong. Joe the Strong
clenched his fists and a blue aura covered it, “Now, we finally got the second
Super Scholar.” He punched the Super Scholar in the chest, which punctured
through him. Blood gashed out of his stomach and he fell to the ground in a
loud cry... The hero grabbed at his chest and felt the very life of him escape.
He knew there was no way to live through this. He fell felt on his face and
breathed his last.
The
clones laughed a little and flew off away from the school. Richard left his
hiding spot and ran to his deceased father. He hugged the dead body and cried
aloud. “Father, I should have been with you to help you. Just like Mr.
Philibuster told me too when he was training me, a long time ago, but he's gone
now and I have no way to get strong, like my father. You pushed me out of the
way, because I haven’t been strong enough to fight the clones yet. You said I
needed to.... BECOME A SUPER SCHOLAR...AHHHHHHH!” Before Richard finished his
sentence he felt the hate rise...the anger of the death of his father, his
fault...He cried harder, as his eyes changed from the blue they were to an
emerald green, then back to the blue. His hair stood up, phasing from the brown
hair it was to a gold. Then in a burst of anger and pain, he burst into a Super
Scholar. He had achieved his goal. But he realized that one boy couldn’t take
on the both of them. He wept and released his power as he ran into the refugee
camp of his family. As he ran across the darkened hallways, where columns broke
through walls and concrete fell to the floor, he ran to the once Nurse’s
station of PHS. There, Caitlin stood, washing dishes from a meal. The 36 year
old woman turned to see Richard running into the office in tears, “Mother,
mother, Dad is dead...He tried to save me from the clones, but died...” He
said. “Oh...Brian....” Caitlin replied, she remembered her lover of twenty
years, Brian. The one who fathered her child that stood before her. She
embraced her son as she too wept. After clearing away the tears, Richard broke
the embrace. “Why did Zuk have to die on us, why did that asthma attack kill
him, allowing all the others to be killed? All they did was try to save the
world. But those super clones were too strong for them.”
He
stormed out of the room and wandered the hallways. Until he reached upstairs to
the remnants of the science department of the school, he hoped she would be
there. Inside, a woman was performing an autopsy on a dead body. “Miss Tara,
can I talk to you for a moment.” Tara turned to see the lad, “Richard, why are
you here, you know your mother told you not to see me again. She is very upset
with me, you should know that.” Richard nodded, “I know, I need some time to
rest up, since my father just died. What are you doing?” Tara stood perplexed,
another death she figured, and the toll was so high it didn’t phase her much.
“Well, I found Philibuster’s body intact, and have been studying the gene
structure of his DNA. I want to find a way to create an Artificial Super
Scholar. If we had an army of them, we can destroy those clones.” Richard
glanced over and became disgusted at what he saw. “Miss Tara, I have a better
idea, can you create a time machine for me. Something for me to go back into
the past and warn everyone before the clones appeared. I know you can do it.
Mother told me a few times your intelligence and skill to build anything got
you out of a few problems.” Tara pondered the thought; she had a basic u
understanding of the Space-time continuum. She could do it. “Well, for you I
will, just I don’t know if you should go. You haven’t gotten strong enough to
fight strong people yet.” she said. Richard walked out of the room a happier
person; “I can go back into time 21 years into the past. The day before Zuk
returns to Earth. I will warn them to become stronger when the super clones
appear.” he thought to himself. He ran to his room next door to the nurse’s
room and fell asleep, as Tara worked busily at the time machine.
The next
morning, Richard woke as quickly as he could. He got ready as fast as he could
and ran to Tara’s lab. He saw her busily working a domed egg shaped object
about the size of a car. “Miss Tara, is it done?” Richard blurted out from
behind her. “Almost, Richard, I need a few hours to fix a few kinks and power
it up.” she said. Richard sat for a while as he watch her hammer, nail and
fizzle with a few components of the time machine. After an eternity, she rubbed
her brow from the sweat and said, “There it’s done.” Richard ran in joy to the
ship and examined it a bit; he wandered inside and looked at the controls. They
seemed pretty straightforward. He ran to the corpse of Philibuster and grabbed
a kitana blade from his x sheathes. He sheathed it into his own and ran into
the ship. He powered it up and set the date, June 1st, 2001. The egg ship span
wildly as it sped to speeds faster then light, and then to the speed of time.
In an instant, the ship disappeared.
He fought
valiantly through the battle with the Android clones and even this warrior,
Super Perfect Calabro. But Richard returned to the future to finish what he
left off before hand. He had to go back to fix his world so at least it could
rebuild. The time machine warped through the beautiful blue watery world of the
timeline of the universe's events, back to his future. The machine returned in
the very same spot in Tara’s lab at it had left. “ Tara turned to see the
return of the machine. “Wow, that was quick. He was gone for five seconds. But
it doesn’t matter he could have been away for years and not realize it. But let
us see.” The pod opened up and the Richard of about 17 years old left his time
machine and to see Tara. His long brown hair that he never once cut while in
the past because of the dedication for the mission, that he would never take
away what he had grown, by himself. Tara walked toward the teen, “Richard, what
happened. Did you succeed?” Richard nodded his head with a smile; “We killed
the Android clones of the past with much ease. But another being showed up with
him as sinister as he could remember them, the nightmares came back to him from
his younger years of hiding. I better find and kill those androids quickly
before anyone gets hurt. With the possibility of this new villain may be
running around I have to kill those clones.” he stated He flew off, straight through
the hallways and to the outside. But something was a miss. Outside was a body
lying on the ground beside the two evil ones. The body turned a little bit
toward Richard. “Ri.... ch..ar...d....they got me...I...uhhh..” Caitlin was the
one lying on the ground, dying from the attack of the clones. Richard was in a
lot of despair. He laid his head low for a minute. He felt his anger rise some
more. Richard blew into a Super Scholar and the flame from his “chi” blew away
the clones like a tormenting hurricane to trees. “You bastards...how dare pick
on an innocent woman. Just then, a sudden change appeared over Richard. His
long and bright golden hair pulled itself up higher on his head. He felt his
muscles greatly increase in size. Lightning raced along his body. His eyes
shifted to a darker tint of emerald. Then after one loud burst of anger,
Richard shouted at the top of his lungs and a large crater formed from his
power up. A brilliantly large “chi” flame formed around him. With tears in his
eyes, Richard had reached, Super Scholar level 2. “Oh my, I think we’re goners.
This is no power I had ever felt,” said Joe the Strong to his companion, who
also agreed. “But it’s no problem, we can take him. Let us try the technique we
we’re trained to use in this emergency.” said Majin Philibuster. Then the two
stood parallel to each other and performed the fusion dance, with leg up high,
then a simple turn and arm swing, they did it well. On the final step, the two
met together perfectly as they were pulled together as one being. “Haha. We are
the ultimate fusion, meet Majin JoeJoe, the deadly opposite of the once pure
and innocent fighter the two Joe's before used many times. Richard just powered
up even more as he saw the fused ma-jin rush at him at full force. JoeJoe began
to wildly punch at Richard intent on intimidating him. But Richard easily just
stepped back once and easily moved through the wildness as poetic as a falling
leaf. Then he leapt into the air and performed an air roundhouse kick to Majin
JoeJoe’s face. The fusion fell down to the ground and slid against the ground
and even down the hill. Richard ran after him and jumped into the air and then
lunged himself into a Dynamite Kick fashion as he plummeted onto JoeJoe’s face.
He kicked wildly around into his face, then chest, and stomach. By that time,
JoeJoe got a chance to flip back up. He was dazed around a bit, but was ready
to stop him. Majin JoeJoe placed his fist forward and fired a large ball of
energy to our hero. It raced toward him. But the youth stood with an
emotionless face. He reached his hand out and smacked the ball away like it was
nothing but a common ball. “Now evil ones, feel my ultimate wrath. It is time
to repay your debts on those whom you have killed.” Richard threw back his arms
behind his back and powered up a large ball of blue energy. After a second or
two, it grew to a size that of a large medicine ball. “Here it comes....
FINISHING BUSTER!” shouted our hero. He threw himself all out as the ball raced
to its destination, the ma-jin fusion. “Oh shit...I think we had it.” Quietly
spoke the evil one. The ball ran through its victim and the whole thing
exploded into nothing, but a cloud of smoke and a head of the fusion. In which
Richard walked over and squished his head and then releases his power.
He ran to
his mother. She was very death and wasn’t much left of her. But Richard pulled
from his pocket, the Bastedo Cookie he was given, but never consumed. He fed it
to his dying mother and her life was restored. A look of peacefulness filled
her body. “Thank you...Richard.” Caitlin said to her son. But Richard flew off,
waving to his mother. “I have one last thing to do, and that is the find Miss
Stephanie, whom is locked away somewhere. I have to find them.”
The End!
