Calabro Conversion Part II

Episode XII: Arrival at the Dark Fortress!

Kaio stood before Joe as they had stood at the gates of heaven for Joe’s departure. “Well, Joe, it has been a pleasure. You have learned all you could from me. But, wait. I have something to give you.” said Kaio. He reached into his pocket and pulled out two identical rings. “Here, they are the fusion rings.” he said. “But, Kaio, I know how to fuse, why do I need these rings.” Joe asked. “Well, the fusion dance you perform only creates that a direct combined warrior. These rings when placed on the ring finger of another person identical in height and fighting power will create a combined fighter as well. But these also give magical properties that slightly enhance that person.” Joe nodded in agreement and he turned to walk away toward the gates of heaven. “Good luck, you are going to need it. Although you can’t die because you literally already are, you can still fail this mission.” “ I will not fail, Kaio, and I will abide to your wishes.” answered Zuk. He turned and continued his walk to the edge of the cloud, past the gates. Then he instantly disappeared into nothing. Then he appeared on the planet Arlia. He looked at his hands and felt his face and then his head. An object interfered between Joe’s head and his hand. It was a majestic gold halo. Guess it shows I am still dead. He glanced over the horizon and saw a small bright dot across a canyon. “It might be the ship they took up here.” He charged his inner “Chi” and flew up toward the glowing spot.

Meanwhile, the Calabro Crew had just exited their ship from its current position on top of a cliff. After scanning the dark area of the asteroid like surroundings they spotted a heavily populated area, filled with alien creatures, similar to what they had encountered. Across from that was a large fortress guarded by a clone guard army. Scratching his head, Dwire and Bastedo wondered what they would do to get over there fast enough. Tara walked out with Caitlin and she pulled a small capsule from her jacket. She dropped it and it exploded into a cloud of dust. When the dust settled, a large hover convertible appeared. Its shiny metallic covering with a “T.F” image appeared on the side. “All aboard!” she shouted as everyone piled into the shiny hover car. At the driver’s seat she sped through the edge and rocketed to the city like area before the fortress. Upon a mile away from the city, Caitlin turned to the back of the car and said to everyone, “We are getting close to the city. When we get into it we are going to pull the ejection seats and you guys can take out that first wave while we figure away into the fortress.” Everyone nodded in agreement and readied their weapons. Tara pushed a button on the car and two openings appeared from the car. Out came out two small turret cannons, which she began to fire to divert some of the guards stationed at the gate of the city. One shot, BAM...one blew up...BAM, and another guard bites the dust. The ejection seats rocket our heroes off into the air. Bastedo whipped out his battle-axe and spun it wildly as he landed. He lifted the ax and chopped head over head of rampaging guards. The Calabro’s drew their swords and stabbed and decapitated other creatures that attacked them. Even Spaceman Dwire had pulled his blaster and fired upon the several guard running toward him and incinerated him.

Finally, several large beings flew in front of the party and the guard withdrew themselves inside the fortress. One smiled sinisterly and opened his mouth and instantaneously fires a large fireball that was so fast it was almost unseen. His target was Bastedo, whose back was turned after ripping a clone’s arm off. He turned and shielded his face from the attack when a large voice shouted; “No way...You’re no pulling this crap on me.” A figure flipped out and landed in front of Bastedo...it was Zuk to the rescue. He pulled out both his hands and fired a short range Kamehameha, which collided with the fireball and deflected it off into a building. “Hmm, impressive, so you’re the Super Scholar we heard about. Excellent, now this is going to get good!” said the tallest being in the center. He pulled a sword and chucked it at Joe who instantly transformed into a Super Scholar and knocked the blade out of the way like it was a small pebble. He gave a deep angry expression as he wondered about these characters. “Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are the Spice Boys! I am Garlic, on my left is Ginger and on my right is Vinegar.” said Garlic. Zuk smacked his face, thinking, “Not another group with bad names.” Ginger dashed toward Zuk and socked him in the stomach and used his tan tail to grasp his neck. Choking from this attack, Joe knew he wouldn’t die, but he was going through torture of incredible pain.

Then, out of the darkness appeared another figure which grabbed Ginger’s neck and tossed him off of Zuk as he rolled a few feet way. He burst into a transformed Super Scholar as his bright “Chi” gave away that he was Joe Philibert. A lot of confusion rolled around from the undead Joe and the new Super Scholar, Philibuster. No matter, they are here to save the day. Joe P. nodded an acknowledgment to Zuk. He had an idea what he was going through. Zuk rubbed his neck and said to Joe. “Watch this, I learned a new trick in heaven, I am going to use this to add to our fusion later on.” He clenched his fist and shouted aloud. Lightning was channeling around his body like roller coasters. He felt his golden hair combed toward the back of his head, which it stood straight up. The hair stretched up wildly and his eyes a slightly color deeper then the original emerald. A lock of hair curled and flipped out to the front of Zuk’s face. His muscles grew insanely large, bursting up like balloons. His screams echoed through as this radical transformation astounded all.

The Spice Boys stood in awe as well as everyone else. “I just reached a new plateau!” said Zuk as he smiled, devilishly.

“Oh my God, what the hell?” said Bastedo as he saw what has under gone at that moment. Zuk shouted as loud as he could this long and tedious transformation continued. Philibuster, as well, charged his “chi” to ready to fight. Zuk flew over toward Vinegar, but despite his large size, He checked Joe with his shoulder. Then Zuk flew all the way back, to the end of the city where he crashed into a wall and out the other end. Then an enormous “chi” flame blasted the wall apart as Zuk flew towards Vinegar, pissed as hell. He rammed into him and kneed him heavily into the gut. Then a knuckle slam, Vinegar grabbed his leg and fell to the ground and landed on top of it, causing Zuk to lose concentration and nearly breaking his leg. Philibuster dashed toward him and pushed Zuk out of the way. He then rapidly punched at Vinegar to weaken him a bit. With shouts of “Ya, ya, ya, ya.” he was indeed, holding him of pretty well. Then as Zuk recovered, the other Joe flipped back next to him. “Joe, lets do it, with all your power.” he shouted. They both cupped their hands behind them, charging. Then together they shouted, “KAMEHAMEHA!” and they fired large blue fireballs toward Vinegar. He had no chance to defend and was eaten up by its power. The other Spice Boys, angry at the loss of their comrade had decided that revenge is a necessity. Garlic shouted, “Now...for me to transform...” as his frail, small body tripled in size. His hooded cape shred into millions of pieces as he grew into this form. Ginger used his powerful transform ability also as he shouted, “Haa...GINGERBREAD!” and his had a slight increase in his muscular body and his tan complexion turned to an almost crisp black. “Now, we will finish you all off for killing Vinegar. You feeble fools don’t not now the power of the SPICE BOYS!” The two Joes stood there in an embarrassment to such loser people they are fighting against.

The two Joe stood together, in fighting positions, ready for anything. Joe .Z had clutched onto the rings for safekeeping, because he knew they might need them against them.
