CIY (Christ In Youth) is doing a
phon-a-thon during the last three weeks of Oct. They're
trying to get $40,000 in "gift income" to begin
new programs internationally and Domestically.
As most the
people reading this page know, CIY is something that I
and my parents believe in without reservation and is an
organization that reaches kids in a way that most other
programs can't.
It reaches out
to teens at a time when they are about to make the most
important choices in their lives. "Do I go to church
when I go to college?' "Do I go all the way with my
boyfriend/girlfriend?" "Why should I even care
about my parents religion?"
Right now,
they are trying to get together funds to start new and
innovative programs to reach teens all over the world.
Basically, CIY
is asking a family to help by offering a gift of $100
between now and January 31, 2003- either in a lump sum or
over 3 installments.
