Process - How You Will Accomplish the Task

This assignment will be completed in groups of 5 people. Four parts are necessary to complete this project:

Part 1
Part 1 requires completing research on the water cycle process: Precipitation, Condensation, Evaporation, and Collection.

Part 2
Part 2 involves creating a Water Cycle Poster.

Part 3
Part 3 is the presentation that you will give to the class. Everyone must participate!

Part 4
Part 4 involves reflection on what you have learned and responding to questions in your journal.

To begin, decide how you will divide up the research. This WebQuest allows you to research the whole water cycle process. Don't worry! There are links for each step in the process.

After you have completed the research, meet as a group to discuss all of the steps in the water cycle process. You may need to have several discussions about the water cycle in order to understand each part.

CREATING A WATER CYCLE POSTER
In order to create a water cycle poster, you can have one person draw the poster or have each person do their own part. First, find a picture of the water cycle and print it out. Study the picture and list the steps of the water cycle. Then, draw, label, and color the water cycle on a poster board.

There are some other resources that you may find helpful for creating your poster, such as the Environmental Protection Agency and Environmental Education for Kids. There are links to both of these websites. You can also click on the Resources Link below to get some ideas for the things you may want to use for decorating your poster.

PREPARING FOR YOUR PRESENTATION
In the presentation, each person will discuss their part of the research. At the end of your presentation, you will give your answer to the question, "Will we run out of water?"
