Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy takes into consideration pedagogy, curriculum, learning theory, and the purpose of education. While differentiated instruction is included, all of my lesson plans include a heavy emphasis on reading. It is important to enhance a students' reading skills because reading virtually makes all other learning possible.

Curriculum is based on PA standards. As educators, we need to give our children the best possible chances in life. If we want to open the doors of opportunity to them, we must give them the fundamental knowledge needed to succeed.

It is important to integrate knowledge and ideas and present them in diverse media and formats. This is why I believe in using inquiry based lesson plans. With inquiry based lesson plans, students become motivated to learn.
