Best known for his appearances on the British version of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Proops was also the host of Comedy Central's Versus. In addition, he contributed voices to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Television work includes roles on 3^rd Rock From The Sun, Men Behaving Badly, and Family Matters. Proops has performed stand-up comedy on NBC, A&E, Comedy Central, MTV, VH-1 and Showtime.

Proops can also currently be seen as the co-host of Rendez-View.
