[Del shakes his head, not believing what he's about to do.]
Del: Tea...
Tea: I'm ready to leave.
Del: I think we should stay.
[Tea turns toward her brother, disbelief clearly evident on her face.]
Del: We should wait, at least until morning.
Tea: We don't need to stay any longer. I've said all I need to say to Todd. I'm ready to leave.
Del: This isn't about Manning. I would feel safer waiting until morning.
Todd: Tea, if the guy's scared...
Del: I'm thinking about what's best for Tea. You should try it sometime.
Todd: I have. That's why I invited her here.
Tea: You did not invite me here at all. You sent me on another pointless journey to nowhere.
Todd: You're not nowhere. You're on our island. I knew I didn't need to send you some stupid invitation full of useless words, because I knew you'd know what that plane ticket meant. I knew you'd know I wanted you to come back to our island to be with me. I knew you'd come.
Tea: I won't come the next time. You can be assured of that.
Todd: You always come for me and you always will. Now, send your brother away so I can show you where we'll be shacking up.
Tea: I'm not staying. I'm going back to Hawaii. I won't allow you to ruin my vacation this year the same way you ruined my vacation last year.
Todd: That wasn't my fault. You keep forgetting that.
Tea: You keep forgetting that I know everything. Lies don't survive when truth is present.
Todd: What the hell does that mean?
Tea: It means that I'm immune to your lies and manipulations.
Todd: I'm not lying this time.
Tea: So, you admit our entire past was a lie?
Todd: I never admit anything. My lawyer taught me that. Innocent until proven guilty, remember?
Tea: Todd Manning...innocent?
Todd: You used to always believe in me whenever someone was out to get me, like they are now.
Tea: I've had my fill of your paranoia.
Todd: It isn't paranoia if it's true. Everyone is always out to get me, except you.
Tea: I never was...until now.
Todd: Give it up, Delgado. You're no good at playing that game.
Tea: I never wanted to play games with you, but that's all you've ever done with me.
Todd: I did what I had to do to protect you.
Tea: You did what you did because you're a selfish bastard who never cared about me.
Todd: If you believed that, you would have been yelling every vulgar word you could think of in Spanish when I was leaving, not waving at me, not looking like you were happy you were finally getting rid of me so you could get into Jungle Boy's shorts.
Tea: My relationship with Ross, after you abandoned me on this island, is none of your business.
[Todd angrily enters her personal space.]
Todd: What kind of fucking relationship did the two of you have after you got rid of me?
Tea: That's exactly the kind of relationship we had after you abandoned me.
[Del, uncertain how Todd will respond to Tea's taunting, steps toward them and pushes Todd away from Tea.]
Todd: Get the fuck off me! Get the fuck off my island...both of you.
Del: Go somewhere and cool off, Manning, before you say something you'll regret.
Tea: Todd doesn't believe in regrets. Hurting everyone who ever cared about him has always been his intention, so why would he have any regrets?
[Todd struggles not to respond with more hurtful words. Instead, he turns and walks down the beach, toward the cave.]
Tea: What was that all about?
Del: I was going to ask you the same thing. Why were you trying to provoke him?
Tea: He used me and then abandoned me on a deserted island so he could risk his life trying to get back to a woman who has tried to murder me. I have every right to allow him to think I slept with whomever I damn well please.
Del: I never thought playing with a guy's emotions like that was your style.
Tea: Todd doesn't have any emotions for me to play with.
Del: I saw a man who was hurt and jealous.
Tea: He was possessive, just like he's always been.
Del: I thought you were a better judge of people.
Tea: I married Todd Manning...twice. How good could my judgment be?
Del: The guy's scum for what he did. And, he's stupid for picking someone else when he could have been with you.
Tea: You're just saying that because you're my big brother.
Del: He really did look hurt.
Tea: You men will always stick together, won't you?
Del: I wanted to kill the guy before we got here, but seeing how he looked at you...
Tea: I can't allow myself to fall for his wounded little boy tantrums anymore. There was a time I thought they masked his love for me. Now I know better. It's all just a game to him.
Del: I saw his face when you had your back to him. I don't think he's playing.
Tea: He knew you were watching him. He was performing for you.
Del: I don't think so. I think he really does care about you.
Tea: You're wrong.
Del: What if I'm not? What if you really could have another chance with him, like you were hoping for?
Tea: I wasn't hoping we'd get back together. I was hoping that I wouldn't find him this time so he wouldn't be able to put me through this again. My stomach is still sick from the last time I was on this ride.
Del: What's the worst that can happen if we spend one night here?
