So the title of this explains the most appropriate song. You know what I'mtalking about...that New Edition song...yeah that one. I LOVE that song. I"m BACK. Thank God for that, I was going to go insane. Sorry I've been so absent, I've been in a mess of school work. But all in all I hope all of you have been doing good. I've missed you! I've been so busy lately with not just school but family and friends as well. In fact some of those special people are probably like "is she talking about us?" yeah I am haha...(whut up to Vee, Kiki and Tine if you're reading this...Vee...you probably are aren't you? haha).
So I got some emails asking me if I went to the AC show and for those of you observent ones...why DIDN'T I go to the AC show. Ok I did NOT go to the Aaron Carter show. I saw one last year, my theory on the Aaron Carter shows is that if you've seen one...you've probably seen them all with the exception of maybe a few changes in hair, wardrobe, and lyric. (I know the whole thing.) But it's not like i didn't want to see the guys. I did. In fact I msis them. I know that they'e noticed that I haven't gone to a lot of thing when Matt calls me "Big K" and asks me what's new and what I've been up to. It's his way to checking to make sure I haven't been hit by a Semi truck or something. I didn't go because well one, I had about fifty pounds of Homework to do, PLUS it was crunch time for the teachers handing out midterms, two, I am more broke than you will EVER know, three my chica Alicia went and she's practically me as far as music goes so there's no use haing TWO of us there, and four, I had an interview with a local (Bay Area) record company to sign onto their promotional team. I don't want to say their name yet since I haven't signed anything so i'll wait until I do to unveil them. I got the job, just haven't signed anything yet, and I've always been taught that you should NEVER think anything is in the bag until you have a document saying it's yours. So I'll wait. One of the few people who will probably know is Holly, since she knows everything that's going on with me. I gotta say that Holly's a good co-founder. We think alike, talk alike (fo sho! lmao), and sometimes act alike...when we're both not on caffine.
So let's see...any other buisness to take care of before I proceed? Hmmm...don't think so but if something else pops up into my head I'll let you know ASAP. Right now though I'll respond for probably the rest of the column to a large mass of emails that have been sitting in a filing folder on my desk for a few weeks. No not those.
A LOT and I mean A LOT of you ask me what I'm up to, how the guys are, and all that good stuff. Well, I'll tell you this, I'm up to school and all that goes with it, and the guys are doing good. I haven't seen them since Bloomingdales though so I'm assuming they look the same, and from Townsend's Official Group's Pictures, I'd say that you can take my word on that one. I'm really surprised at how a lot of us have become fans over the course of a few years. It's not quite the average "They performed at my school" "I saw them open for Jessica Simpson." It's more of the "My friend chased the twins down the street in their car" or "My cousin's friend knows them and so we went to Aaron Carter to check them out."
Good Lord people! the simple stories of fan fair have changed from the typical...or should I say...it's changed the typical. I've noticed, along with Tony that the fans have become so incredibly out there (which is a good thing) and really embrace things like this. Now me, I'm thrilled, I'm glad you like this, but it confuses the heck out of me. I don't think that if I were my sister's age, I'd spend 40-50 dollars to go check out a group that my cousin's friend said was "hott." I also don't think I'd have nearly enough energy to chase any car that has an engine down a street in the middle of 19th Avenue. And Lord knows that I wouldn't put all my eggs in a basket and devote energy to seeking out where they're staying and finding the extra energy to truck down 5 hours to their next show location.
It's amazing, I'm not saying that the guys don't deserve it. They deserve everything you or I can give them, but the way that this all has happened is "befuttling" haha...in orther words..it's incredible. I don't think that we give you enough credit at all. I think the furthest I've gone to see the guys is Tracy and here we've got people like Kaitlyn with the Dream Team, Amy, Courtney, and everyone heading over to Lake Tahoe to see the guys perform a set and then head back home.
Other emails stressed what I think of so and so or another Townsend fan. I think that other group leaders and other long time fans will agree that we have respect for everyone. We don't talk to everyone but we respect and accept all fans.
The rest of the emails are a toss up. They both have to do with the guys but there's a split between Ryan emails and the Townsend guys as a whole. They're both pretty much the same though. The Ryan Emails commented on how much he's grown. Good Lord he's grown, in fact, I remember the shy, White Rye that a lot of girls can remember from back in the day. You know who I'm talking about, the Rye who seldom said more than a few words, preffered to remain a wallflower, and let his smiles speak for themselves. He has grown, in fact the more and more I see him at current events, the more and more I look at him and realize that he's become not so shy, the center of attention wherever he goes, and has gone from saying a few words to doing solo bits in performances, dances like no one's looking, and becomes a showstopper along with the rest of the guys.
The other guys, man they've grown too. Todd I see that the true leader color comes out in him as he becomes more and more familiar with performing. He's a good leader with a good heart and has his head in the right place. What more could you ask for besides a bag of chips? Nick and Dom, yeah they've definetly grown more too (no pun intended...haha love those guys). I see that they're have gone from this raw but sophisticated and mature personality to very buisness oriented and buisness like. And Matt...Good 'Ol Matt. He's gone from Country Boy to California Lovin. He's got that California tan on his cheeks, cute smile, and the eloquence in song writing that only people like Babyface can accomplish. He's definetly always been one of those guys who's out there and successful but even more so, a guy who sees what he wants, achieves it and never basks in it. That's going to take him places, we all know it.
Yeah the guys have grown, changed, and achieved lots, but don't think that thi sis the end of it. Sometimes I think, "Wow this is it" but it's not. This is only "it" for now. If only I could keep reminding that to myself.
