I"m not sure what week this counts for so I"ll use it for this week. I've been kinda busy rushing to finish summer reading and trying to find inspiration for my project. I also had a doctor's appointment...it's kinda scary since the doctor I have is different from the one I"ve had all my life. I ended up walking out with 2 vaccinations...ouch. It wasn't that bad, I needed to see a doctor anyways. The silver lining? I got my provisional permit on Tuesday which takes care of everything. Now I don't have to go back a few times like the guy in front of me did (3 times!). I think the only person I told was Mina, she had faith that I could pass...I didn't. I didn't want to jinx myself so I only told one person. Oh yeah I also emailed JV...two words...hot and cool. Something about a guy with a tattoo on the side of his bald head haha.
So, who's excited for Mina's first installment of "Ryan's Extremeist Tells All...the time!" ? I"m ready for it, it's fun stuff and of course it will be every other week as a treat for all of you to read. Like Holly and I have said, she's something this club needs, a crazy psychopath to make thing more exciting. Haha. Mina's fun times just rollin' ahead. Rye if you're reading this you should start carrying mace or a stun gun or something because I can assure you...Mina won't be holding back haha. Ok so she's not a huge threat...no need to file a restraining order. WELL...moving on...what else happened so far, ummm OH YAH! Dan and Joe came back on Monday. You have no idea how relieved I was to know that they were home, I missed them so much it was rediculous. I was getting bored of myself, that's how bored I was. When someone was on the computer and I couldn't talk to any of my girls and my mom was on the phone it was me and the TV and a very large bag of popcorn. It was like part of me was missing you know? As corny as it sounds of all the guys I know there are only 2 males outside of my family that know me inside and out...Dan and Joe. When I talk to either of them it's like talking to myself (except as an A's fan) so it's throughly entertaining. I talked to Dan and it was like i got a piece of myself back.
I've had this severe headache the past few days. It started next to my vocal chords and now my head hurts. I asked my doctor what was wrong and if my head was going to fall off. She told me that I just strained the muscles in my vocal chords and that I need to lay off using them in non-talking ways for a while...in other words no screaming, no yelling, no shouting, and no singing. That kinda sucks since I don't talk and mostly do all the others she told me not to do. I'm going to get a second opinion.
ANYWAYS, so, Mina. I've gotten a few emails. All of you want to know a few things about Mina, well I can't tell you everything because she happens to be RPCC's secret weapon. In fact her first installment should be this coming week, so keep checking back for it. Also, I want to get a few thing straight, a few have speculated that Holly and I invited Mina on the basis that we were being boggled down by responsibilites of a club or we couldn't handle it with just the two of us. First off, Mina is an addition to the club that is way overdue, not because Holly and I can't handle this club, but because Mina is such a huge "fan" of Ryan. (AKA: Extremeist) Sure we could've given the job to someone else but Mina fits the glove that we want for RPCC, so we molded the job to fit her, not the other way around. Also, Mina brings the spunk we're looking for to RPCC, and we have faith that she will have the responsibilities we put on her.
Anyways, Mina and this situation is a wonderful example of life in general. I mean if you think about it, we all have to fit molds or make molds fit us. Either you're right or you make it right, there's two ways of going and we're likely to be used to the consequences, good OR bad because it's the road of choice we're used to taking.
I saw Andrea at the mall a few days ago. I didn't even know if it was her but when I did I went over to talk to her. She leaves on Tuesday, Katie leaves on Monday and Sara leaves on Thursday. And Amy, she already left for Washington. We talked for maybe 5 or 10 minutes until we parted ways and when I met up with my mom again I almost cried. 3 of my favoritest people are leaving, and 1 has already left. It's almost hard to accept the fact that all 4 people are going to be in 4 separate places from each other and 1 separate place from us. It's almost like graduating without the gowns. But with the fact that they're leaving of have left has made me personally realize how life truly is, we grow, we leave, and write another chapter in our lives, Katie, Andrea, Sara, and Amy are going to college. There will be molds to fit, molds to make, and molds to make fit, and something tells me, they'll be breaking every rule of the molds, to show who they are.
The guys, obviously have grown with us watching long enough for us to see that there is a certain shape to fit and a certain way to be in order to be "successful." Besides the fact that all 5 of them are ornately different (yes the twins too) they all have, more or less, a few things in common, including something special in their personalities. Have you noticed how they ALL have a seperate personality but ALL get along and are in synch (no pun intended) with their actions as Townsend?
Ok,you have Todd who's unique from head to toe, in fact if there was any guy that looked like a friend of the guys and not one of the guys, it would be him, the way he carries himself and the way he just is makes him probably more approachable at first impressions. In fact, honestly, if someone said "you have to sit in a room with your classmate who you know well or Todd, who is it?" I'd pick Todd, he's got the most comforting, and peaceful vibe in the world and has the biggest heart to go with the biggest hug.
You've got Matt...Mr. Voice who not only is an amazing individual but also reflects perfectly his background, he has the perfect family, a mom who loves him more than life itself, a dad who's such a strong and loving figure at the same time, and older brother to look out for him, a younger brother who wants to follow his footsteps, and a younger sister for him to look out for who live in a small town where they go to church every Sunday and occasionally have a "family jam session" at their humble home, if you wouldn't take him to meet mom and dad, sorry girls, there's no one else.
Then you have Ryan, the shy one with a sexy streak. Can someone tell me how God so perfectly blended the traits of Superman and James Bond? In fact Ryan is my James Bond, always popular with the ladies, dressed well, and mysterious (the Superman bit was because I think all girls at one point or another think Rye has the muscles of Superman...not the tights lol). The fun thing about Ryan is definetly his personality. I wouldn't call conversations with him random, but more spontaneous. It's hard to use words to describe RYAN TORRES because everything he is and everything he will be is in his name. Ya feel me? All I could say is this, time with Rye is precious, so if you ever get a bit of it, cherish it.
Ok, so you might think, if you haven't met the twins, they're alike. Well, they're not. If they WERE alike as some people think, then girls wouldn't have specified which twin is their favorite. But I can assure you, they're not. In fact, day and night sometimes. You have Nick, who offers this very very subdude, calm, and relaxed image. My mom once told me that she notices how intricate and eloquently he speaks. Ok so I laughed, I'm used to Nick not Nicholas, but it's true...he's got both. It's fun sharing exciting or good news with Nick because he's instantly excited enough for you and him both, adorable. Dominic's like that but still different. Though he talks to everyone, anyone, everything and anything he still has a very different persona around a smaller group of people and someone doesn't initiate conversation. I think his manners are not to walk into a conversation and to wait, but he also initiates conversation if no one's talking. He's a very old soul, like I've said before. It's hard to explain it but that's how it is.
The fact that they all have to fit the mold of being nearly perfect for the public isn't easy. You and me both know that we can't be perfect because we're human, well so are the guys. It's not like they can help it, who they are is who they are and regardless what anyones says or thinks, they won't change who they are. For as long as I've known them, no one influences them enough to have them do something and they won't be made up by anyone but themselves. If they want to change something about themselves they change it, not for their manager, not for their record company, but for them. No one and trust me, no one will tell Todd that he should die his hair lime green with pink highlights, if Todd wants to look like a watermelon, then he'll do it, if he doesn't, he'll say so.
Boyz II Men, Backstreet Boys, even the early days of NSync, they had to match, they had to be a certain way and God forbid that anyone sees one of the members with a girlfriend, drink at hand, or wearing something non-designer. The guys have always and will always be who they are and whatever mold comes their way, they make it fit them, they don't fit it.
I'm proud of the guys, Lord knows that they've fought to be able to be who they are, have what they have, do what they do, and be who they are. I know that Amy, Andrea, Katie, and Sara will do the same because they can.
