Your Weekly Townsend Fix Column 37

Hey Everyone!

So Mel's arm is still in recooperation. Thanks for everyone who's asked about her. To me it's weird. I was talking to Andrea about this, it seems like everyone but ourselves grows up you know what I mean? I look at Mel sometimes and think, "Wow, this girl has it going for her." She's doing better at her age than I did when I was 12. I'm proud of that girl, one mobile arm and all. Let's see what else is going on before I dip into this special YWTF? Oh yea I currently have 64 oranges in crates that say "Sunshine To Go" from Joe & Dan's fundraiser. They're going to South America this summer and was raising money by selling fruits and stuff. My mom bought some of everything when Joe called. Joe just forgot to tell her that there are 32 oranges a box. It looks like I'll be having a lot of my vitamins for the next 64 days. I don't think I"ll be eating them all though. We're giving them out for Chinese New Year. Gung Hay Fat Choy! I'm half Chinese and nothing says Happy New Year more than a big handful of oranges and yes...those special red envelopes.

So is anyone celebrating Thursday with a Valentine? Ah I see...you reading this probably is. Let's do a check here...Holly's got Micheal...Amy's got Big Bird...yea that makes Kristen ValentineLESS. Me? Bitter? No. I'll let you in on a secret though. I do have a crush. And you wanna know what the best thing about my crush is? He doesn't have a Valentine either. Sound too good to be true? It gets better. I know him. Oh don't go "wow" just yet there's more. He's a total sweetheart, kind, funny, and I know him well so there's not a possibility that this guy is a secret jerk. Yeah too good to be true. So good that it scares the daylights out of me and I am so chicken to ask him that I'm not going to. The thing is, the situation is complicated because of the dreaded H word. HISTORY. My history with this guy is special and I'm so scared that if I step forward to say anything...it'll be a big mess. I'd personally rather be friends with this guy for the rest of my life than a couple and break up and lose such an incredible friend. Plus I already asked him what he was doing that day and he's busy with sports so that idea goes down the drain. Who knows though, maybe next year we'll be valentines. For a good amount of time now Stupid Cupid has had his love arrow stuck in both of us. You know the feeling you get when you really like a person? The feeling that makes you light headed, weak in the knees, and your heart beats so fast that you don't know if you can keep up? That's what it feels like to have Stupid Cupid's arrow in your rear. To me, that's EVERYTHING Valentine's day is about. For me for a long time that was my goal, to feel what it's like to have that arrow, and I have it. So does he...who knows what will happen, I saw him this weekend...it was kinda weird because both of us had that "what now" vibe. How do I know that I like the guy? The first time I felt that weak, dizzy, heart pulsating, jittery deal? It was with the guys. Mr. Luva and the one and only Townsend are the only people who know how to get me in the heart.

So who's YOUR valentine? Let's do a little fantisizing here for a moment people, what if one of the GUYS was your Valentine? I'm only saying this for two reasons, 1) I wish they were MY valentines (yes I admit it) and 2) I had a really wierd dream about it a couple nights ago after I ate a bad cheeseburger...I'm not kidding. Ok so we'll not go into specifics of my dream because I don't remember a lot of it and I think I would personally confuse myself trying to remember the chronological order of events of the dream I can barely remember. I just remember walking up happy and with a smile on my face. I know the basic idea of the dream but not exactly what happened.

So, I can guarantee you that each of the guys have gotten at LEAST 20 valentine proposals in their email boxes, at their shows, message board, chatroom and any other means of communication. That's one of the reasons I'm not even going to bother sending in my "BE MINE" proposal. The other reason being that they'd probably laugh at me. They're free agents to decide all that. But don't you think it would be kinda cute to have one of the guys or someone like the guys be yours for that special day? All the guys are so different. I can see Nick actually MAKING the meal for his date, Dom doing something really romantic, Matt doing something really spontaneous, Ryan doing something sweet and quiet, and Todd doing the laid out plan that has some of the traditional things but with a special twist to it all. I would pay to see them all in a suit and tie and black shiny shoes.

They're sweet aren't they? One of my friends and I were talking about them, naturally she asked me if they'd make good boyfriends. I don't know, I think they would. It's hard for me to give an answer and keeping a straight face after reading the fan fics. If anyone has read them you'll know why I'm laughing. Let's explore that side of them that makes them the PERFECT valentine shall we?

Dom: I think he'd probably be the guy that thinks it all out. Dom's one of those people who can't remember what he had for dinner last night, where he threw his car keys but will ALWAYS remember a special day or event. Maybe not specifics but the basic jist of it. What makes him your man if you're a Dominic kinda gal? Being the listener and active participant in every conversation with him...haha just kidding there's more to that. He's a really special guy, he's sweet and exceedingly caring. He's the guy that will tuck a couple stray hairs behind your ears for you, the guy that will listen and then relate to you on a bad day, he's the guy that is a perfect gentleman, ladies first, and respectful. He does his best to spread himself out to make you happy and to do what is convinent for you. Dom's a perfect valentine, he would definietly have roses for you I can tell you that.

Nick: This guy would have a home cooked meal for you man. How perfect is that? I know that I can't cook anything so a Valentine that can cook? I'm all for it. He's always remembering the things that will make you smile. He'll go to every corner of the earth to make sure that it's a perfect Valentine's day, whether it's a your favorite meal, favorite dessert, or just your favorite flower. This guy has appeal to him. You know that Italian charm that some people talk about? It's also called Nick A. Restani. He's special because he knows how to make people smile and make you feel special. He's not the guy to talk to a crowd as a crowd to take care of a bunch of things at once, he totally talks to you as an individual. The charm has captured the hearts of quite a few already...trust me. Matt: I think this guy would be a fun Valentine. See this is the thing about Matt, he's a simple mind that makes the simplest things special. Everything that he does that is small feels huge to you. Every good and positive feeling is intensified with him. I've known him the shortest amount of time but can guarantee you he'll be the guy you'll never know how much you loved him till he's slipped through your fingers. How many guys have I known like that? If Matt ever hooks up with a girl I will be the first to tell her never to let him go. He reminds me of one of those movie guys that would do something really outrageous for you. I don't know why but I see him totally being one of those, "Rose for every date" type of guys.

Todd: Like Matt he'd be one of those guys you'll never know how much you loved till you've lost. I don't care whether or not the saying goes "It's better to have loved and lost than to never loved at all" or something like that. It's like this, Todd should never be let go, if you lost him, you'd lose a lot. That's my big bro man...I love that guy. See Todd is like this...in a big crowd he is Stage Todd...totally outrageous. In a medium crowd...really quiet I think it tortures him to be the center of attention in a small group of people. On a one on one...what you see is not just what you get, you get so much more. There's a lot to Todd. There's so many special things about him and so many little things that keeps you coming back for more. He's that guy that opens up everytime you see him. As far as a Valentine goes...if you ever get Todd as a Valentine, that will be your best.

Rye: Aw Rye Rye. I think that Rye would be the most adorable kinda Valentine's ever. He's already adorable. Let's face it the guy is so cute that you want to stick him in your pocket. Ryan's changed a lot, he went from Super Shy Ryan to Shy Ryan...it's a big difference even though the "Shy" label is there. I think that Rye is your guy if you can deal with intense moments of scilence that speaks a thousand words. Don't know what I mean? One day you'll figure it out. I can promise you that you'll encounter more than one guy like that, the thing is about those type of guys...they will drive you crazy trying to figure out why you're so drawn to them. Rye's got that mysterious charm to him that is so complex in this complicated weave of patterns that if any of us cracked the code it would be up for some sort of Nobel Prize or something. Let's face it, he's the Valentine you want the girls to know about.

See now that makes me want to hit the send button on that email. haha JUST KIDDING! I already have enough boy drama going on that I'll just go with the flow. Ok enough for now...I'm getting tired trying to figure out how to juggle my sleep and napping hours in my schedule. I am so tired that I actually cancelled out Valentine's day moping with one of the gal pals and have decided to spend it napping. Besides I have no school the next day, I'll sleep through half of Valentine's day and wake up just in time for Passion's the next day...perfect plan to me. Haha yea i know I"m pathetic. Happy Valentne's Day to those of you awake for it!
