Your Weekly Townsend Fix Column 33
Hi Everyone!
Wow, so I was watching In
Style's "Celebrity Wedding" and my hunky fireman from 3rd
Watch (NBC Mondays @ 9) got married?! Eddie Eddie
Eddie...oh well. Anyways, I've been kinda absorbed in the
tele lately. I actually need to stop because everytime
I start to watch I'll pig out. Even if I'm not
hungry I'll eat cause I'm bored, bad habit! It's been so
cold lately that my extra fat built on to me is acting
as a layer of clothes. I'm due to go down to
Japantown tomorrow with some friends, I'm looking forward
to it since I don't get a lot of after school play
time with them. It's either ITS, Choir, rowing, or the
musical that I whimped out of auditioning for.
Oh
man I was watching the weddings on TV, and Shawn
Stockman got married! The wedding was so beautiful. I
almost cried watching it. Then again, lately I've been
fairly emotional and I have no idea why. I saw this
Hallmark commercial on TV and busted out in tears because
it was so sweet. I cried at the NYPD Blue episode
because they killed off a character. I don't even watch
NYPD Blue. I've had the house to myself more than once
this week. It's actually scary, I'm a whimp too so
that may be the key to my emotionalness.
So,
Townsend, they're pretty inspirational aren't they? I've
gotten some emails from you telling me that you relate
to what I write, or you were in some way touched by
something I wrote. Well I was talking to Holly, obviously
someone was, if you've read the fan fictions lately for
Townsend, one of them starts off, quite familiar to the
airshow review. In fact different parts of the story
actually link to not just me but multiple other fans that
have been around for a while. I think it's kinda neat
but my scenario, it was a sensitive subject for me so
I'm actually kinda confused. Those other fan
fics...whew...a little corrupting if you ask me. Not good for any
youngins. I"d be surprised if any of the guys got through
reading them without a little bit of a "Wow" or sweat off
the eye brow.
But aside from things that are
avaliable for everyone to view, the emails have been so
incredibly wonderful to recieve. I've gotten emails telling
me that people are glad that they're quote "not the
only one" in a situation I went through and wrote
about or feelings that I felt and wrote about.
Honestly, it makes me feel better that I'M not the only
one. When I write I figure that there's a slim chance
someone can relate to me, when I find that someone does,
I don't feel like the odd man out. Or, woman out.
Some of you have shared with me stories, delimas, or
situations you're in. Some of you have asked for my advice,
asked me if I had gone through it, or just wanted to
share it. I love that. There's nothing that Holly and I
love more than just that. Getting an email from a
member like that makes it all worth it. One email
inspired me. Some of you have talked to her, heard of her,
or seen her. Her name is Lisa. She is a member here
and has inspired a good project for this club. She wrote me an email a while ago and told me
that she related on a special, special level. Lisa
made me aware that any relationship that has love, is
a good relationship and is a blessing. Lisa also
told me how much of an influence the guys are to her.
I've been told that the guys are influences, good
ones, by a bunch of people, my parents, friends, fellow
fans, a lot of people. This brought me to this idea.
How about this, everyone has till the end of February
to send in letters to the guys. The restriction is,
no love letters...no marriage proposals. (Trust me
I've tried and failed...haha just kidding.) The letter
will be to the guys. I think I'll call it "Project:
Influence" Send a letter to my email address and tell the
guys how, when, why, or who they are an inspiration
to. You aren't limited to how long it is or whether
or not it's addressed to one guy or certain guys or
just the whole group. It will be presented to the guys
on behalf of Rye's Party Crew Club by Holly and
myself. Along with a couple other special things in
there. You can also send in pictures with the email if
you want it to be included and also include you're ID
name for yahoo and your email address.
You can
email it to me @ KNRinSF@a... Please please please
so I don't accidentally delete it, put in the
subject title "Project: Influence." I get a lot of spam
and I'd hate to delete it. I'll have more descriptive
directions ASAP.
This is going to be a long existing
project so don't rush it. I have always had the idea that
a good letter can take a while to write. I guess
that's why I take so long to write any
letter!
But really, the guys are some special influences to
me. All of them are inspiring in special ways. But as
a group, they probably can take the award for most
inspiring group. They came from pretty much self-management
to interim-management from Trex, to management by
Spunout Records. They came from not having (with the
exception of Matt) any extensive vocal lessons to lessons
weekly. They came from very very very little dance
background to tough coreography. They came from a small town
in Oregon and a popular radio station in San
Francisco to local superstars and echoing names in various
places across the country and even outside the country!
They've come a long way, along the way they've made
special friends, gone special places, done special
things, and were given the oppertunity to do so many
things that many can only dream about in bed.
But if you look at Townsend and really break it down,
you'll see that the guys all excel in different kinds of
inspiration that really make Townsend the way they are. You've got Nick & Dom, let's face it, who would
expect two wrestlers to become pop singers? Before it
all they come from a very deeply rooted family. They
care very much about their families and have done so
many things and have accomplished more than you can
imagine in their lifetimes. They save the lives or people
by being EMTs/Firefighters on the side and through
it all, still can laugh at the things that can make
anyone else break down in frustration.
You've got
our Saint Matt. He really is a saint. If he didn't
have to say "thong" and "tramp" in "Pour Some Sugar On
Me" I think the Pope would take him into
consideration. He really is an inspirational guy. He's got this
amazing energy that anyone could feed off of. It's
spiritual, humorous, supportive, and loving all at the same
time and it's special. Just when he thought that
"Making the Band" was it, he filled that missing piece of
the puzzle miles and miles away. No matter what, he
always has this glimmer of hope and sparkle in his eyes
that make you think, "I can keep going." It's so
motivational even though he says so little.
Next up is
my Big Bro. It's all in the name. Some of you ask me
if I miss wedgies, beatings, and being pretty much
abused by a big brother. Actually, I kinda do, I think
it would've made me tougher, I'm such a whimp! Ok
but yea he's got a leadership quality that's very
very important. If there wasn't a leader like Todd,
heck, Townsend would be in some sort of a downwards
spiral. He obviously doesn't do a lot of talking when it
comes to radio, that's all Dominic. But behind the
scenes and just in general he's that hard rocked
foundation that nothing can break. How incredible is that?
Even if Todd weren't my Big Bro, he'd still be the
same type of figure to me. I know that personally if I
ever need advice or need someone to talk to, it would
be Todd most likely. Plus on top of that he's got a
hug that can make the world go right.
Last but
not least, the reason of this club. I saved him for
last so you would have a reason to keep reading. Did
you think I forgot him? HECK NO. That's like saying
that a cook forgot salt. Ryan's the salt. He adds that
extra "mystery." to it all, just when you think
something's missing it, POW, RYAN! Haha ok no Ryan's a very
special inspiration. And I say this because he inspired
me at a major turning point in my life. As I made
the transition to high school I started to really get
to know him. Ryan has this quiet, yet bright quality
that really makes anyone comfortable with themselves.
You don't feel a need to change because you know that
you're you and that's pretty damned cool. He also is an
inspiration to I guess you can say, the quiet flower. Again,
I relate. Ryan shows that it's cool to stick
yourself out a little and just go. It's ok to talk or to
be a little loud or to be who you are and magnify
it. It's cool when you can come out of your shell.
That to me, is a road of inspirment.
Aww so
sweet...yeah well as heartfelt as that is...that's as
heartfelt as I go...tonight at least. I hope this was
better than the last one!!! Ok well that's all for now
people. Until next time....
Stay Safe & Stay
You
Love Always,
Kristen
