Your Weekly Townsend Fix Column 30
Hey Everyone!
Well, I've been having a
very long week to start off. I had to run around and
on top of that get back into the swing of things
after a long vacation. I'm just about ready for Spring
Break. The first day back I was totally ready I missed
my friends. Not only did I forget my locker
combo...i forgot my locker! So that made the week long.
From this point on I have a packed week. I get to go
to the chocolate factory in Berkeley, out to dinner
with family friends, Monica and I are going to a
basketball game for Jon & Cliff's team, I go on a service
trip for my Lasallian experience, and father-daughter
evening to end the week with my dad. I'll also be helping
my friend John with his phsyc project. It sounds
kinda fun and I'll tell you about it next column since
I'll have the project on paper.
CONGRATS! We
surpassed our 100 member mark! The following user name is
number 100: tonymaddbeatboxer. Whoever you are hope
you're enjoying the club so far and thanks for making us
reach a hundred! This club is so great, I love Holly
man she's my partner in crime and if you left this
club to me...there wouldn't be a club. PERIOD. Thanks
Holly for all you do in this club. We appreciate
you!
I want to take this column to talk about Townsend
but not. This column will be about Townsend, but not.
If you really know me you'll understand, if not,
well you'll get it after you're done and you think
about it.
I just want to take a column to praise
the names you all know but kinda don't. At the end
I'm going to go parental so be
prepared....
I'm going to now introduce you to some ladies that
are The Originals and some people who are vital to
Townsend History...to me at least. THE ALL THE WAY ORIGINALS:
Holly: No not
dream Holly...this Holly! Your co-founder Holly! (She's
cooler man...who else can I vent to about time? lol)
She's dope, she's been a fan since pre-Townsend. She's
been an original AND a vital person....she invented
"Got Ryan" so we all owe her big time for
that.
Amber: This is my blond twin. She's been a fan since All
That & More July 7, 2000. How do I know the date? It's
a long story. Basically I was standing in front of
her in line waiting for Take 5 and talking to Melanie
about Ryan...go figure. She's the Prez of the
Promo-Crew and runs "Townsend Love" the website. Thank her
for being awesome because she's a great
person.
Meg: a/k/a Crazy Meg. This girl knows everyone. I mean
everyone, and on top of that she went to SHC. She's cool in
my book. She's been around since pre-Townsend too.
Let me tell you that if it weren't for her you
wouldn't know about Kyniption and Diversity and all those
other cool groups I know you just love. She also runs
the official club for Jayden, ex-Townsend member. She
truly has always supported the guys and she is at EVERY
event, if you ever see her run up and give her a hug for
me.
Andrea: This girl has been around since the beginning
like Meg. She has been a HUGE asset to the guys making
every event possible. I think she only missed one,
legitimately because I think she was out of town, you can't
help that stuff. But she has been to every event and
has always supported the guys. She still does to this
day and has supported them in the slumps and highs of
this roller coaster.
Katie: She's Andrea's
Right arm like Andrea is Katie's left....kinda get it?
If you see Drea you'll see Katie. Katie's the
sweetie who also has been to just about every event. When
she couldn't make it to the NYE events (because she
was in Hawaii) she stayed in and called to see how
everything was going. Her phone bill, her vacation in HAWAII
people and she spends the day on the phone because she
couldn't be there...how devoted is that? She's a great
person and an Original. THE CHRISTINA AGUILERA CONCERT (10-15-00) VITALS
(THE NEXT LEVEL):
Amy: She's a dork. No i'm
just kidding, she's a true fan and if it weren't for a
lot of her work, you wouldn't have the Townsend
Street Team site and info all over the place. She's
responsible for making you laugh and responsible for the on
AND off line street teams. I can honestly tell you
that she's beyond vital at this point. Just when I
need to be leveled in a humorus way, she does it for
me and makes it all better. Amongst all the stress I
cause her she does a great job...we've got a super
woman on our hands.
Tamara: a/k/a Rara or Tams
we all have our nicknames for her. She's
cool...although she's getting old she still has her young looks
(thanks to Mary Kay). She is Amy's partner in crime.
They're like Andrea and Katie, you can be sure that these
two will be together, it takes a really huge reason
for them not to be together. Tamara does the same
stuff Amy does and helps keep Amy in order. Tams has a
good head on her shoulders and has a lot of wonderful
ideas, she's perfect for the job she has.
Joy:
Well DUH....you think I'd leave her out? It's like
naming all the Townsend guys out and leaving out Todd or
something. You can't leave Joy outta this picture. Joy of
course runs Fan Relations and is very good at it. She's
always getting out there with flyers for you to pass out
and one of the awesome four founders! She also runs
the official Townsend club, and on top of that she's
on the newspaper staff at school and has aspirations
to go to UCLA, I can't even manage sleeping and
napping. So thank you Joy for all you do!
Courtney:
Courtney's the sweet quiet girl who laughs and giggles all
the time. She also is part of the official club and
is always answering questions. I can't think of a
time she refused to answer any sort of question. She's
been a huge asset as far as support goes. You can be
sure that Courtney is supportive. In all ways possible
she's always doing something to help with anything. You
can always call on her to help you get the job
done.
Sheerin & Stella: They're pretty much the same person.
They both run websites and a club for the guys.
They've been long long long long time fans and have
always figured out some way to get to where the guys
are, even if it makes taking that horrid CalTrain. If
you don't know who they are look for two really, no
make that EXTREMELY hyper at the events. They run
Townsend's Party Crew so if you ever run across it check it
out.
Kaitlyn: The Dream Team! That's all I have to say and then
you go "Ohhhh." Don't confuse her with any other
Kaitlyns, this one's special! She does the Dream Team with
Pam & Kris and are at EVERY event. You can be sure to
see them around and they always are helping out the
guys. This girl is beyond supportive of the guys and an
extremely active fan. She's been an asset in the history
books, she's the only one with a truck with a Townsend
decal on the back...that's devotion.
Melissa:
This girl does it all. She manages the Townsend Twins
club, the N Love With Townsend Site. And manages
school. She's my long lost sister...it's a long
story....and a great friend. She's always handling things the
right way and always doing something to help the guys
out. If help is ever needed she'll be there to give
'em a hand. This girl is hilarious and manages it
all...props to you. So there are the ladies that I have had the
priviledge of knowing for a very long time. I got to know
all of them and it's been a priviledge to do so. I
wanted to take time out to recognize them because they
deserve a lot of recognition and a lot of props for being
the ones who stuck around. With the guys in LA or
Vegas doing all these school tour shows, radio
interviews, performances with Dream, or whatever, we don't
get a chance to see each other! Somehow it all works
out because we've found every possible way to keep in
touch with each other, lunch, email, IM, phone calls,
pages, and messages on the message board. Somehow we all
come together. The Townsend peoples are great. I
haven't had a particular name for all of these people
except callingthem by their names. I think this is the
Townsend Posse man. THey're great. My mom mentioned to me
how well everyone seems to get along. Everyone get's
along and we're ALL Diverse. We come from different
familes, different backgrounds, different traditions, and
different areas, but we all get along and can all laugh
together. And no our lives do not revolve around talking
about Townsend...we have lives outside this Townsend
ride...better yet...outside this Townsend THEMEPARK. Everything
extends past being fellow Townsend fans, we turn to each
other for advice, a laugh, a shoulder to cry on, or
help. I can't tell you how many times Amber has been
there to talk to me on the phone, or when I needed
Courtney's support in my acting, talking to Andrea about
boys, conversing with Amy about dreams and poetry the
list of it all goes on and on. Ladies, thank you for
being you and being so wonderful I love you! This is
for you. Ok ok, now I go parental. I'll keep this part
short since I already sent a notice out. There has been
harassment within this club. I will not point my fingers but
once again ask that if you haven't read about ut in
the club's message, please read it. It regards
someone who is claiming to be someone they're not and is
also giving a hard time to a person, a girl, who is
anonymous to me and holly but has emailed me regarding the
situation. No names have been given to me so I cannot tell
you who it is but I ask that you take note of the
notice and please remember that this club is about
Respect. Please respect each other. Holly and I hope that
this situation can be ended soon. We will fix this
situation, even if it means deleting whoever this member is.
Ithas been brought to my attention that there have been
some questions to who posted it and otherwise. The
overwhelming support I have gotten from the members that I
talk to on IM. Everyone wants to know what tempted the
post. Holly and I posted it under the SN we chose. I
have been asked numerous times who both people are. I
don't know who they are it's all currently anonymous.
The person that has reported it has been emailing me
and i've been emailing her back. That's all the
contact we have. She's obviously very worried about
privacy and this club will keep it. As far as who the
harasser is, no names will be mentioned. We're not scared
of whoever this person is but we have more respect
than that and will keep it even for someone like this.
Names will not be mentioned at all and when action is
taken it will be taken without notice. That is if
action is taken at all. I understand that this club
probably could email this person personally but Holly and
I want you to know that as a member of this club
you are a member of a family and we won't take this
for ANYONE. We will protect you and your privacy to
the best of our abilities as well as the guys'
privacy. If we did chose to personally email the person
then we would but if she has the nerve to post her
name claiming to be someone or something she's not, we
will have the same level of consideration. I regret
that I have to say that but it's true. We won't stoop
to your level but we won't take garbage when it
comes to this club, we want to keep this club enjoyable
and it's unable to do so when someone is pretending
to be someone they're not. I end all my columns with
"Stay safe and stay you" same with Holly's post...right
now we can't stress the "Stay you" part of it enough.
