Your Weekly Townsend Fix Column 21

Hey Everyone!
Ok so down to business. I won't begin to inform you on anything in my life because right now that's not important. I must take this column to tell you a couple things. (No this isn't a lecture like you get from your mom and dad, trust me that's the last thing I want to expose this club to...ick!)

Now, I want to re-instate (is that right wording?) something I said earlier and want to add to it. This column is honesty. That's what I want to add to. I understand from experiences of people I know, friends, family, aquiantences, (get the idea right?) that honesty can sometimes be inturpretted in the wrong way. You know that I"m self-critical of my writing and I think this may be a bit of that kicking in because I'm writerphobic sometimes. So let me get to this point and then we can get on with the fix...cool? Ok...here's my little, hmmm i'm not sure what to call it statement/disclaimer/agreement...since i tend to abbreviate things (like Melissa M. has noted) We'll call this T.R.U.T.H. standing for The Real Understandings Through Honesty.

Here is my TRUTH Statement to all of you.
I understand that honesty can turn into and branch of into many different inturpretations that are unclear. I know that this column does talk about personal experiences with the guys and personal opinions of the guys. If you do not agree with me or you feel as if I abuse, misuse, or throw around my authority as a co-founder of Rye's Party Crew Club (RPCC) PLEASE NOTIFY ME IMMEDIATELY. I know that this is probably my worries as a writer because I"m never sure anymore how my writing's percieved by the readers. I do not want this unmentioned, tabooed, and utterly untouched subject of what you think I may be doing wrong as a co-founder. I will greatly appreciate any constructive critizisim from anyone who reads my column. I worry about how you perceive me as a co-founder because it is such an honor to be part of this club, which to me is another family, and I never want to fail your image of me as a co-founder, writer, and most importantly, a friend and someone you can talk to. It's important that you state how you feel to Holly or myself. If there are ever things that you want to talk to us about regarding the club and any feelings towards it, please let us know.

OK, you might be wondering "where the heck did that come from?" I just did TRUTH because I have to be honest, and tell you what's on my mind. I know a lot of you have talked to me in the past about things that regard who we percieve as friends. Naturally, we have this wall of trust, love, and care for people with whom we've built friendships with and when that is abused, we're hurt. Therefore, I feel that I must talk about it whether or not I have come off as someone negative to you, just in case. I want all of you to know that I full heartedly consider this job an honor and a priviledge to serve all of you as members and NOT a self-appointed authority. I know, that rant was TOTALLY random. I'm sorry. It's just, I know that if there's one thing I don't want, and I know that Holly doesn't want is this unspoken animosity towards ANYONE in this club and just all-around in general. Lately, one situation has totally opened up my eyes to A LOT of unspoken animosity in a lot of different people that I know in school, outside of school, just everywhere. I just wanted to get this out of the way before I went on with this column. I'm sorry really, if this was just completely out of line or something. But please do tell Holly or myself if something's going on that you, or someone else doesn't agree with because we don't want negative vibes u know? OK, now that I can breathe again, I need to be honest again. I've been in this huge writers block. I mean huge. I do have these other columns but I just don't feel ready to release them yet because I don't think it's "the right time." Maybe it's just that I think they suck too and I have to fix them up more to be more...well more interesting than a bunch of babble, which is yes, what you're getting now. But I did sit and reflect (can you tell I go to a catholic school? I just said the word "reflect" and I wasn't talking about reflecting light off mirrors to blind people in bio class...hey don't laugh, you know you've done it too...) on just things in general. I read the columns and thought that they were really general, in other words, it wasn't current as much as I wanted it to be at the moment. You know me and my moods...I'm the typical fickle teenager...please tell me I"m not the only one. I have the following columns lined up for future release....

-Guys and why Townsend is desirable. (I know I've just stated the obvious but trust me, I elaborate more lol...)
-A thanksgiving special. (This is more of my time to thank everyone here for everything and to tell you how thankful I am for all of you. I want Holly in on this too so Holly, I know you're reading this gurly, I'll give you the Ds in advance so it's not hella rushed...)
-"There's a First Time For Everything"---This kinda goes into Townsend and this big transition.

I know that in the past I have put personal experiences in the columns. I don't know if you guys particularly like reading about that stuff. Let me know if you want me to put them in again, but for now I'm taking them out. I don't want to put so much of what I've done, where I've been and all that stuff in my Townsend history, I just want to have a column with opinions...you know, like normal people. So if I want a normal people column why not talk about the normalcy (is that right?) of THIS in general. THIS=US.

First off, I love you guys. In fact so much that this column is dedicated to you guys. And no this isn't going to be one of those coorporate dedications. You know what I mean, when someone dedicates like a hall of a building to someone that wasn't even there. This column isn't going to be about anything other than you guys from this point on. So, I love you! I seriously think that Townsend fans are the best type of fans because we're not even fans, we're citizens of this tiny community of people with one thing in common, TOWNSEND. Here is the pyramid of our community:

T H E O R I G I N A L S Wanna know the best part of it all? WE ARE ALL EQUAL AND ALL GET ALONG. Admist this whole war thing, it makes me happy that I can go somewhere (even if it's on my computer) and be or talk with people who don't act like they're better than you or someone else. It's amazing, I think that the world can take their ques from you all. Much props to each and every one of you. Now let me define the pyramid starting with the base, the beginning.

The Originals: I'm talking WiLD 94.9 Party Crew/Team Pretty Boy fans. I know I"m not the only one that's found Ryan hott for the past 4 years...who feels me?! The Orignals also include all the amazing people I met at the Planet Hollywood Luncheon Sunday, October 15, 2000. It was an amazing way to meet so many people who are fans today! Sarah Lily (My adoptive dream-big-sis), Megan C. (AKA "Crazy Meg"), Amber Foster (My partner in crime for the Promo-Crew and best friend), and many amazing others.

Christina A. Show 2000: This was a hours after the luncheon. If you have no clue what this luncheon I'm talkin about was, well it was basically for people who couldn't make it out to the Christina A. Show. It was a Sunday (luckily I had the next day off I can't remember if it was a holiday or teachers in service....) and so a lot of people couldn't make it because of school the next day or distance (in Concord). That night was amazing. I recall A LOT of spreading the word that night. A good majority of the people at the luncheon were able to make it so a bunch of us were passing out these buisness cards telling people to check out the guys, who were "right over there." Recruited were a lot of people who are fans today, including: Joy, Megan, Sheerin, Stella, Amy, and Tamara.

Friends of fans of the last 2: I mean, after you see these guys, there's no way you can keep it to yourself. We're girls, if we see a hott guy we say so! This caused a chain reaction of word-of-mouth fans.

Concert Appearances: Besides the Christina show, there was 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys, NSync, and Aaron Carter concert appearances. Going back old school style like the did in the WiLD 94.9 days, they did their thing at a concert. Except they didn't have those WiLD 94.9 Posters and booty stickers I know yallz love. (LOL) Basically, current fans would go to concerts with a buddy who didn't know about Townsend all that well and their had the oppertunity to get past that because the guys were there! I'm the friend of a friend of a friend. Something like that. Random Passers-Byers: These are kinda like the concert appearances but it's a bit different and I feel like they deserved their own teir. They were basically at a concert, saw the guys, saw this hysteria, and went to go investigate. Crime solved, it was Townsend. I know a lot of you guys who first heard about Townsend at a concert noticed some sort of hysteria and just had to check it out right? Well a lot of other curious people had a great experience of a concert and meeting the guys!

Random Site Hits: This is when you're in love with a guy who has the last name Townsend, you're looking for a Pete Townsend single, or you're looking for Townsend something. OOPS! You hit TownsendBoys.com! I remember this girl on Napster (oh yes ancient Napster) that is one of those fans. I noticed someone uploading off of me and it was "Understand This" I thought "Oh cool another Townend fan!" so I IMed her and started talking to her. Into the conversation I asked how she heard about Townsend. She had never once heard about Townsend, in fact she lived in Washington [state] or something and had a crush on this guy whose last name was "Townsend" and was downloading out of curiosity. That's just an example, there are also a couple people I have talked to because they ran across this site out of a search for something else!

Misc. New Fans: These fans are the fans that aren't in any particular category or are in between the last couple of tiers. The the babies (in a good way, I'm talking like "newcomer"). You will graduate to another level shortly but you're the ones that we think are "cool" because you remind us of when we first heard about Townsend. You're the ones that make us realize, "this is why I love Townsend and this is why I promote them so much." These are the ones we help to graduate because we want you to be 100% fully educated on Townsend so you can help us recruite another generation of this tier.

Ok, now I want to tell you again, that I love all of you and Holly as well as myself appreciate the support, love, and interest each and every one of you have put in this club. No, not just to the extent of Townsend, but to the extent of a more personal level. Many of you are examples of why Townend Fans=Friends. (Wow, I'm really having fun with this whole = sign huh? lol) It's amazing when I sit back and look at it. I know I haven't been to the events lately but from what I have witnessed in the past and what I have heard about just amazes me. Fans who go to Kinkos and pass out flyers for the guys, clubs, teams and other forms of Townsend promotion and do it on their own dime at appearances and shows pre and post show on their own time. I give you all huge props. I'm not trying to make it sound like it's a burden but I'm just saying that you all show great dedication doing it. I have had so much fun in the past doing it with you. I have fun doing it alone because I think of all of you when I do it, it makes me feel "less alone." I'm not sure how to word it but all I can say now is that I'm no longer calling you "fans" refering to how we know eachother, it's now "friends."

So with that my fellow friends (see already using it), I will end this column. I dedicate this to you and want you to know how much I appreciate all of you friends and how much we come together. Thank you and goodnight LOL. OK OK let's end it on a more...NORMAL TEENAGER talk...Ok yallz, thanx for all the love you have given me and my gurl Holly, we love you an want to do our best to please all of you!
