Your Weekly Townsend Fix Column 2
Dear Friends,
First off, I would like to
thank you for reading my column. Frankly, I think I'm
an aweful writer. I always am critical of how you
might percieve or interpret my writing and never want
anyone to feel like I'm insulting or excluding anyone.
I'm having problems posting on the board and I intend
to email Wendy when I get a chance but I did want to
thank you in a way that as many of you could outside
the message board.
Jen (I don't think we've
met on the internet or person yet!), thank you for
the post, I read it and was truly touched. Sharing my
feelings so openly about my Grandfather was so hard for a
while. It wasn't because I was ashamed of the cancer and
health problems, it was because being open about it left
room for me to really lose it. I have always I guess
you can say, bottled up my feelings. When I said that
Townsend opened up doors they opened them up to people
like you that made me more comfortable in doing so! My
family is doing fine now thank you. It was hard for so
long for my mother and myself very much so. My family
was the only family living in San Francisco with my
grandparents. My Gramps is the only grandfather I can say I
really know and was one of the biggest influences and
inspirations in my life, he still is. Losing anyone so close
and so special is like losing a piece of you, so I
can relate to your pain, but I can only imagine the
magnitude of sorrow you felt the summer you lost a part of
you. I'm sorry to hear that you lost people you love
so close together. I hope that YOU and YOUR family
are doing well.
Ally, in fact I don't think
I've met you either! Man I have to email you sometime!
But thank you so much for your post. I really
appreciated it. I do in fact write a column for Rye's Party
Crew Club, Co-Founded by Holly L. and myself. I write
a once a week column for the club known as "Your
Weekly Townsend Fix" (a/k/a "YWTF"). Most of the columns
are like the one you read but shorter since I submit
them more or less once a week. As far as writing on
the sites, Townsend as well as Mr. & Mrs. Trex have
done so much for me and if there's anything I can do
to help in Trex's absense to the website I have told
them to let me know to give them a hand. I am more
than willing to do anything to make their jobs
easier.
Courtney, My Court! Thank you so much, really.
I'm sorry I couldn't talk to you the other night!
First Sunday and now the other night! I feel really
bad, to make up for it I'll have to bring you some of
those Circus cookies! LoL. No really thank you, thank
you so much for writing such nice things about my
column! It's special to me that someone who's my friend
is also someone who reads what I write. Thanks for
caring so much! Really, don't cry, I think I've done it
enough for ALL the Townsend fans and then some! All of
you share in my Townsenditis epidemic, if there's
anything an addict loves most, it's company! I love you
court, thanks so much!
Everyone thank you again
for all of your moral support over the past several
months. It seems so long ago that I lost my grandfather
but I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I
wish I could thank all of you in person and tell you
how much it means to me to have ALL of you in my
life. All of you have been my inspiration to write
another column and another post and to carry on. Thank
you so much all of you! For Jen & Ally, I don't think
we've had the oppertunity to meet yet and I'd really
like to talk to you guys! Please email/IM me @
KNRinSF@a... Thank you again everyone, take care and hope to
talk to all of you very soon!
Love
Always,
Kristen
