I must be some kind of nut! Last night was the Pop Star concert at Great America. The guys did their thing. I guess it went okay. I’m not sure because I could not hear them sing over the noise that the fans were making. The screaming nearly cost me an eardrum. It amazes me how six or seven little girls could make so much noise. Okay, I’m just kidding. There were at least 12 girls. Yes, I’m still joking.

So, last night was a late night for Wendy and me. Speaking of Wendy, isn’t she beautiful? I bet you're wondering how and old ugly fart like me can end up with such a lovely lady. It must be my charm because it sure ain’t my boyish good looks. Anyway, back to me being some kind of nut. This morning I got to sleep at around 1:30am. I had to get up at 6:00am because I had some work to do. Here it is 7:30am and I’m writing a special Insiders Edition. I made some observations at last night’s concert and I wanted to share them with you. Before I get started, let me remind you what I wrote in the first addition to the Insider’s Column. Take what I say with a grain of salt!!

Observations:
1. Nick’s biceps are bigger than Dom’s.
2. Todd is very shy offstage, he’s outgoing on the stage and he is always a butthead around me.


3. Matt needs a new pair of pants. I would guess that his size is 33W x 34L.


4. Dom ruined a perfectly good pair of pants by cutting holes in them.




Trex: What the heck happened to your pants? Dom: Aren't they great? I made the holes myself.




5. Ryan changed his hair color again. Robert Hayes (the manger of Steve "Smash Mouth" Harwell) who came to see the guys perform, asked me who the red head in the group was. I said something to the effect, "red head? Red head, Townsend has no stinkin’ red heads". He pointed to Ryan. OMG! Ryan had red hair last night! If you’re a red head, don’t be shocked. I didn’t really say "stinkin":-)
6. Julie, Townsend’s Director for Marketing, was outstanding as usual. I don’t know what we would do without her. It is highly likely that I would have to do real work during these events if it weren’t for Julie.


7. Wendy got teary-eyed when Matt and the guys were singing Just Say Goodbye. Alright, she didn’t cry but she came close. Geez women!


8. Matt was so excited after the show he gave me a hug. Actually, I was so excited I would have hugged a lamppost if one were available. I’m trying to maintain a tuff somewhat formal persona so I seldom go around hugging people.


9. Stella had funny shiny thingies on her eyelids.


10. Todd had funny sparkly thingies on his pants.


11. Stella also noticed that Nick’s biceps are bigger than Dom’s.


12. Dom noticed that my biceps are bigger than his. Da, I weigh at least 50 pounds more than he does. Not to mention muscle versus fat.


13. I was very nervous when meeting the fans (usually I hide, remember?) and I acted like a total bozo. But it was great to meet some of the fans that I’ve gotten to know in the chat room. As a wise man once said, if the red nose fits wear it.


13. I was sorry that Kristen and her family were not there. The guys decided to wait to dedicate the singing of Just Say Goodbye until Kristen can be there. So, we will have to wait. Maybe the air show.


14. I finally met Joy in person. The picture recently posted of Joy on the website, that is titled "Joyous", originally had me in it. I was cut out because supposedly I looked like a bozo.

15. Todd hides before a performance.
16. Matt’s a flirt.
17. Dom’s a flirt.
18. Ryan is pensive before a performance.
19. Nick is Nick.
