An Insider's Look at Townsend...Chapter Two
I read the comments that were posted in the chat room about my first column. First let me say that I greatly appreciate the kind comments. Though I must say, I do have some reservations about being referred to as Daddy Townsend. My support to the group does not warrant such a prestigious or honorable title. I might consider something less formal. Maybe something like "father T". Wait!! My gawd, I have it! How about Townsend Rex (as in reexquateretist). For short you could just refer to me as T Rex.
I have challenge for you. The first person that can figure out what reexquateretist means will be presented with a lifetime supply of Townsend’s very own line of bath oils. Just kidding. They don’t indorse any bath products. Don’t say it!! I didn’t, you shouldn’t. What I will do is provide to the winner an Official Townsend Certificate of Recognition, signed by the guys, and suitable for framing. I may even throw in a picture of Todd when he was much younger. I have several dozen in my office and it wouldn’t hurt to start cleaning up the place. By the way do not bother to look up reexquateretist in the dictionary. You won’t find it. It’s pronounced re-x-qua-tear-e-tist. It’s a combination of Latin and French. I offered up Todd’s picture because he’s probably the only member of Townsend that knows what it means.
Are you ready for book two of the Resanti twins? Actually, the story that was in my first "article" was not the first one I wrote about the twins. Dom and Nick are total perfectionists. I’m trying to break them of the rather ghastly habit. They’re also very concerned about the perception and feelings of others. They can be such an enigma at times. Let me see, Dom is has an extremely serious side and Nick is pretty easy going. Sometimes I think Dom acts older than I am. At other times he acts like a total goofball. I like that side of him. By the way, I have a confession to make. Some of the time I can’t tell the twins apart. Fortunately, I have a couple of tricks that I use to tell them apart. The easiest thing to do is wait until one of the twins speaks up. The differences in their personalities are amazing. It would set me back months if they played a trick on me and tried to confuse me about which one I was addressing.
So, as I was saying, I had another story in the first article when Todd asked the guys to review what I wrote. The way he explained it I got the impression that one of the guys nearly went into cardiac arrest. It’s a good thing that the twins are emergency medical technicians. Anyway, the guys didn’t appreciate (as in hated) what I wrote. Okay, in retrospect I agree that the first story was a little raw. I thought that it was good because Wendy lol when she read it (Todd told me today that lol is laugh out loud. Good thing he told me what it meant. I thought that it meant something like little old ladies or, love’m or lose’m, or leg of lamb, or ladies of leisure, or .. never mind).
Still, in spite of the fact that the first story outline was a little weak I felt that it had great potential. The story line was about the twins as firefighters. Maybe in time the guys will let me post it. Hint, Hint fans!! If they don't agree maybe I'll start making up stories about Matt. What the heck, maybe I'll make up a story about the whole group. Definitely a romance.
TAFN; T-Rex or just plain old Bob
