Todd has to be one of the biggest male gossip queens I've ever been exposed to. I thought I liked to talk about celebrity gossip. This guy has blown me away. And Bob's comment about him being the most improved dancer...Todd has his own dance skills going on for him. If you've ever witnessed "The Todd", the head bopping up and down, the pursing of the lips, the erratic movement of the feet, the pumping of the hand...it's a hilarious but enjoyable episode to witness. "The Todd Face" is also one of his many wonderful features. "The Todd Face" comes in different varieties, some of which include bulging eyes, his tongue, usually blue (haha), etc. Everytime he makes that face, it just cracks me up to see he's not afraid to be a dork in public, and in pictures, which are unforgettable memories captured forever. At the Marin County Fair performance, Kristen and I were sitting down in the front row. And I think it was during soundcheck when somebody handed Rye a blue ring pop to give to Todd. You should have seen the immediate reaction from Kristen and I. It was a slow motion "Noooooooooooooooooooo..." Hahaha We looked like we those people at the airport who guide in the planes w/the orange batons, mouthing "No do not give him those". LoL Lately, I've been seeing the father figure in him. Yes, I know it's hard to imagine Todd, a kid himself, as a dad. But wow, he's gonna make a great dad someday. Todd's so good with kids and just seeing how comfortable he is in that position, I can't help but smile. A note to all you "American Idol" watchers, watch out Simon! haha Todd will listen to a song for 5 seconds and he'll already know what he thinks about it. "Uh that's enough of that one." "Well, won't be listening to that again." And don't put a Hanson or BSB cd within his reach. You'll never hear the end of "Mmmbop" or "I Want it That Way". But again, you'll witness "The Todd", can't get enough of that.
Matthew, Matthew, Matthew. Oh Matthew...there's only so many words that come to mind when I think of him. The thing I cherish about him most is how you can have an intelligent conversation about what's new in your life or how your family is, and then jump right into jellybeans and farting. And I love how whenever he says hi to my parents, he immediately reaches out for a hug from my mom which leaves her speechless and gives my dad a good hardy handshake. I still don't think my mom gets how Matt is when it comes to family. She's always commenting on how friendly he is. He still remains the "guy you can take home to mother". But good lord, did any of you notice how he went from "Hi, Mrs. Tamaki. I'm Matt, it's so nice to meet you" to "Rarrr I AM man!" at the Marin County night performance? Cos I was just standing there going "Whoa man...whoa" but hey I was welcome to the whole "becoming a sex symbol" right in front of my eyes. I think I've told about a million of my friends about how Matt ever so smoothly winked as he looked up w/that charming little grin of his. If I were a 13 year old girl, I would have been madly screaming and wildly trashing my arms around. haha I think his current "I don't care about styling my hair" look is cute. It fits his carefree personality. Oh and I have to get this straight, I did not spit on Matt! I know it might have seemed like it since I was drinking a soda and laughed, but I would have known if I spit on him. My alibi still remains that the liquid he felt "get all over him" was the condensation from the wet can. So there Matt! :P
Ryan is so easy but at the same time hard to explain. Someone laughed the other day when I said he was spacey and commented how that was an interesting word choice to describe him. Well he is in all honesty. No offense to the guy, but sometimes it takes a lot more than yelling "RYE! RYAN! RYAN TORRES!" in his ear and tapping his arm to get his attention. haha But most of you already know that. If I could get a penny everytime I showed a person a picture of Townsend and they said "OMG that guy is HOT!" (pointing at Rye), I would be so rich right now. I'm so serious. It's not everyday you go on a trip to LA where there are 500 girls from all over California and a lot of them know who he is already. That is very cool. I really haven't been able to talk to Rye much lately. But I'm sure I'm partially to blame for the distance between us too. Seeing him yell "Hi Joy!!" with that "Dr. Pepper, it makes the world taste better" smile of his always makes my day. Even if I don't talk to him at an event, all he has to do is smile and say hi, and that completes my day. I can't even imagine what his smile does for all the fans. You have to see these tattoos Amy made of all the guys' autographs. I'd have to say Rye's looks the coolest. I haven't worn it yet though and I'm a little afraid since I heard they're painful to pull off. But who's to say fashion doesn't come without a little pain. It's all in the name of publicizing our love for Rye! Have u seen Rye's brother? I swear if I didn't wear contacts or glasses I would mistake Jason for Rye everytime. I bet you still can't tell if he's older or younger. I sure didn't know until recently. Can you guess??
Dominic would have to be the guy that I...gosh I don't even know how to put it. You know when you make assumptions about a person, but after getting to know them, you think completely different of them? Well I guess that's what you could say about my experience with Dom. I don't mean that to sound negative in any way. It's been a learning experience. Dom's quite the character. The random/useless facts never get old. He needs to compose a book or something. That'll keep them occupied on the road. haha Ok who laughed at Kristen's comment about how she wonders what would happen if Dom was put on an island by himself...if he would find some inadiment object to make conversation with like Wilson the volleyball in "Castaway" with Tom Hanks. I could so picture that in my head right now! One thing about Dom, you'll always know he's thankful for everything that's going on for him now. He's always thanking everyone and I think that's very gracious of him. Dom has this certain look when he's grateful for something. I don't know how to explain it but you'll know it when you see it.
And lastly Nick, ok I'm finally admitting that I used to have a big fat crush on Nick. Yes, happy now? God knows why I'm confessing this to everyone, I guess tonight I'm just in a confessional mood. haha So there you go. People used ask me a lot who my favorite member was and I'd always say "Well I don't have a fav but I'm partial to the twins". Now you know what I meant. Geez, do I feel like a complete dork now. I honestly don't have a fav member at all now. They're all equally likeable. By now, I've come to the conclusion that liking guys in bands is not for me and is a relationship that is virtually impossible to maintain. So no more band guys for Joy! Someone find me an average Joe so I can stop complaining. Oh yes, Nick. Got a little carried away there on my rant. Nick is still the same Nick I met almost 2 years ago. Well except for the buffness factor. Don't get me wrong, he was yolked back then too, but now it's just wow can I stare at your arms? My friend Sarah calls Nick & Dom "your freakishly buff twins". I don't know what else to say. He's still an all around great guy and I'm glad I know him.
Wow see what happens when you don't write for 3 months? I'm pretty perceptive on reading people and probably analyze things too much but at least I have the opportunity to share with you all what an interesting bunch the guys are. Now I believe it's time for me to go to bed. This is why I'm so tired everyday in my class. A community college make for a great place to promote Townsend. :D Enjoy the remainder of your week everyone.
