The Beatles
My seat was in the eighth row, center isle. Not bad for a first
concert. I had no idea how lucky I really was...It was at Olympia Stadium, in
Detroit Michigan. Their second, and last tour. A hard act to follow, for anyone.
They only sang for about 25 minutes. I can remember screaming, just like all
those girls you saw in "A Hard Days Night". I screamed, I cried. I couldn't
believe that I was actually seeing them. Somewhere, in my storage boxes, I have
the autograph of a police officer who touched Paul. (Isn't that sweet?) I
believe it was in 1965 or 1966, and I was 13 or 14.
It doesn't get any better.
My only wish is that I had been old enough to appreciate it more.
