chapter 34
TODD’S PENTHOUSE
Todd checked his watch again as he waited impatiently by the service elevator outside the penthouse. Leaning his head against the wall, the events of the last few days filtered through his head. What were Blair and Dr. Parker hiding, and how was RJ Gannon involved in all this? Blair was not friendly with RJ and yet she was having clandestine meetings with him in the early morning hours. And her behavior was so erratic, from vicious anger to perfect sweetness in the blink of an eye. Perhaps this could be attributed to her hormones, but she seemed a bit off to him, a bit unbalanced, much like when she shot Max Holden. In the past Blair had often become unglued when her grand schemes were exposed, and with her family’s lengthy history of mental instability he found himself worrying about his family--about Tea, Starr and Leo. And now he had to watch out for this child she was carrying, a child he was so ambivalent about.
The rumble of the service elevator startled him and he looked over as the heavy, metal doors opened with a loud clang. As the doors slid apart a small, slim woman in a long, black skirt and a crimson, wrap-a-around top which tied at her side, came walking out. She had on dark sunglasses and her hair was hidden, pulled up into the wide-brimmed, straw hat that she was wearing. All he could really make out were her full, luscious, red lips as she broke into a radiant smile on approaching him.
Todd smirked, raising an eyebrow playfully.
“Who are you? Mata Hari?” he said as he whipped Tea’s hat off and her long, chestnut hair came tumbling down around her shoulders while removing her black sunglasses.
Tea laughed.
“I didn’t want to be recognized,” she said as she entered his arms and kissed him urgently sending delicious tremors throughout his body.
Her warm body felt so good pressing against him through the soft, stretchy fabric of her clothing and he could feel her soft breasts against his chest as he pulled away from her, taking a few deep breaths to steady himself.
“Alright, Delgado, stop trying to distract me with your body.”
“But, querido...isn’t that why I’m here?” she asked, raising one eyebrow as she looked up at him.
He took her hand and pulled her toward the penthouse door, pulling the key out of his pocket and unlocking it.
“Alright, Delgado, close your eyes.”
Tea looked at him curiously , but finally closed her eyes and let him lead her in. The door slammed behind them as Todd pushed her further in.
“Okay. Open them.”
On opening her eyes, Tea first beheld the winding staircase and the incredible view of Llanview that were so familiar to her, but that was all that was left of the original Penthouse. The furniture and colors were all new.
There were two brown, velvet sofas flanking the fireplace and facing each other, separated by a glass coffee table on a bronze pedestal, all sitting on a thick Persian rug with an intricate pattern in shades of brown, terra-cotta, moss, and cream on the floor. Above the fireplace hung a large, rectangular mirror with beveled glass, surrounded by a thick bronze frame. To the left of the stairway were dozens of potted plants of varying varieties and sizes, and beside them was a round table, covered by a cream-colored, damask tablecloth, surrounded by four chairs and accented with a heavy, bronze vase filled with peach roses. The whole place was accented by pillows and decorative items in shades of terra-cotta, brown, cream and moss, just like the rug.
The cold, black and white sterility of the old place was replaced by a warm, earthy elegance.
Todd watched Tea’s reaction. She walked around slowly, her mouth slightly opened and her eyes wide with wonder, almost like a child’s. As he watched her walking around and touching everything with her outstretched hands a strange and wonderful feeling filled him up, a feeling one only gets from the act of selfless giving.
“Do you like it?” he asked, nervously.
Tea turned around and dropping her purse and hat on the floor, ran back and wrapped her arms around his neck and planted kisses all over his face and Todd had to laugh at her unabashed enthusiasm.
“Oh, querido! I love it. It looks so warm and filled with life. I’ve always wanted to decorate the place like this but I thought you’d hate it,” she said.
“Well, to tell you the truth, Delgado, it’s a little too Pottery Barn for my tastes, but I thought you might like it this way. And, hey, I won‘t be the only one living here, right?”
“Todd, I love it. It feels like home to me.”
“Yeah?” he asked smiling. “Cause if you don’t like it...you can change it...I don’t care.”
Tea walked away from him and took another look around.
“No. I wouldn’t change a thing...except, perhaps that tablecloth will have to be put away for a while when Leo arrives.”
They both smiled.
She stretched out her hand and he took it as they both sat on one of the sofas.
“Todd? How did you do this...it’s amazing. How did you happen to pick out these colors? They‘re so perfect.”
“I hired a decorator and paid her big bucks, and I told her what I wanted, and that I wanted it done ASAP!! When she asked about colors...I just thought about...you. The brown is like your hair and eyes, the cream is like your skin, and that other color...that peachy color she called “terra-cotta”...well that’s the color of your lips and...you know...your...nipples. That’s my favorite color,” he said smiling.
Tea nudged him playfully as they both laughed.
“And that mossy green is like your eyes, querido...and Leo’s. This place is a combination of us.”
Todd nodded. Leaning over, he picked up a pillow and held it in front of her.
“So, do you think it’s a good match?”
Tea looked down at the salmon-colored pillow smiled at him.
“Well, let’s see.”
She pulled her top off her shoulder and pulled it down to expose her perfect, round breast with its peachy areola and delicate nipple. Todd’s hand trembled as he placed the pillow next to it.
“It’s perfect...I knew it,” he whispered as he dropped the pillow to the floor and leaned over to kiss her, his hand gently caressing her exposed breast. His thumb circled the dormant nipple into alertness as Tea moaned softly into his mouth at his exquisite touch and the exciting sensation beneath it.
Todd pulled away from her a little out of breath.
“Where’s your bra, Delgado?”
Tea smiled as she pulled her top back up.
“This top was to clingy.”
“Yeah, I kind of noticed that,” he said with a touch of annoyance, noticing her small, round nipples poking provocatively through the soft fabric of her top as he stood up.
“Come on, let’s go up stairs and I’ll show you the rest,” he said as he took her hand and they headed up the stairs.
The upstairs was fairly unchanged. Starr’s room and most of the guest rooms had not been touched. A room was added for Leo, almost an exact replica of his room in New York, painted clouds and all. Todd walked her down the hall to one of the largest guest rooms.
“ I thought Lulu could have this room, it’s really big and she can decorate it any way she wants,” said Todd.
Tea peaked in.
“This is fine Todd, but you might want to clear that corner and put in a small sofa and a table. And I would add an entertainment center with a wide-screen TV with cable, and a VCR, Lourdes can’t live without her Spanish soap-operas. And I would give her a private phone line too.”
“Consider it done,” said Todd as he pulled her toward his bedroom. He opened the doors and they stepped in.
This room had all been redone as well, in the same shades as the downstairs livingroom. It was furnished with light-colored, rosewood with low dressers and a tall armoire. The bed was enormous with it’s rich, brown damask comforter, cream sheets and assorted color pillows. It had four thick posts which looked like thick, wooden spirals that almost reached the ceiling. At the foot of the bed was a lovely floral tapestry loveseat with an antique pattern of peach roses, a decidedly feminine concession that Todd must have allowed. In front of the window was a small round table flanked by two chairs covered with the same tapestry pattern as the loveseat, and a matching tablecloth. Another vase of peach roses was on this table.
“Todd, I love this...this is my favorite room,” Tea said in astonishment.
“I’m glad, Delgado, cause we’ll probably be spending a lot of time here. I also took the liberty of having it sound-proofed, you know how loud you can get...at times.”
Tea laughed as she walked around the room, his eyes watching her--studying her every move. She walked to the foot of the bed and ran her hands along the thick, hard post and looked back at Todd suggestively, her dark eyes filled with a passion he had come to know so well, a passion that still had the power to mesmerize him.
He walked over as she leaned her back against the post, and reaching down, pulled the tie at her waist , unwrapping her top, carefully pulling it down her arms. Tea pulled his jersey quickly over his head and then went for his zipper. Todd’s hands were on her skirt, pulling it down along with her red, lace panties, as Tea shimmied out of them and stepped out of her shoes. Tea unfastened his pants and pushed them down along with his underwear and Todd reached down to pull them off, along with his shoes. They both laughed at how quickly they had undressed as Todd pulled her into him and kissed her soft, warm mouth with his own, delving his tongue into her warm wetness and moaning with the powerful pleasure of oral connection. The feel of her warm silky skin against his had become so familiar it almost felt like his own.
Todd breathed in her fragrance as he kissed her hair and touched her everywhere, all the places that made her cry out for more. He loved hearing her in a state of high arousal, her soft moans and seductive whispers, her sexy Spanish terms of endearment, her brazen cries of rapture when she peaked physically. It was the most erotic music he’d ever heard and its affects roused a primitive lust in him that made his body react with basic instinct.
Tea pushed her body against his, pressing hard against his sex , and finding his throat with her mouth, bit it tenderly, taking the warm flesh between her teeth firmly, then releasing it slowly. There were times when she felt as if she could consume him, take him into her body like some hungry cannibal and make him a part of her being--eat his beautiful flesh and become one with him--her desire was pervasive and insatiable.
Reaching down, she took his bloated, straining organ in her hand and rubbed it vigorously as Todd fell against her groaning and shaking, pumping instinctively into her hand. He was out of breath and panting into her hair as she continued to love and manipulate his powerful manhood until it was bursting and begging for release.
“Shall we try out the bed?” he asked urgently.
“No. Let’s try out the loveseat and see if it lives up to its name,” she said breathlessly, as she lead him to the loveseat and sat him on it. Climbing quickly onto his lap, she sat astride him and pressed her thighs tightly against his.
They were starving for each other, desperate for contact, and there was not much need for foreplay as he quickly entered her, her back arching sharply in response as he pushed upward and deep inside her with a long, deep groan. Placing her hands on his shoulders she lifted herself up, tightening her muscles as she pulled upward, almost out of him, then pushed down on him again forcefully as his head snapped back and he closed his eyes, moaning with excruciating pleasure and whispering her name.
Every thought in their heads disappeared and the room drifted quickly away, as did the penthouse and the building and the world outside, with all it’s petty problems and natural disasters. Only this pleasure existed between them, only this desperate, carnal need to feed and stimulate their raw senses until they were gorged and satisfied. There was nothing but this moment where they allowed their bodies to take control over their minds and they lived only to love and be loved by the other.
She leaned over him, her hair spilling over his face as she kissed his open mouth, engaging his tongue with hers as his hands circled her waist and moved to her bottom, squeezing it firmly and holding her steadily as he drove into her again and again, grunting loudly with the exertion of wanting to fill her completely with his body, wanting to pour his soul into hers.
As they exploded together, they cried out with mutual intensity and the echoes of their rapture drifted around the empty penthouse and reverberated off the walls. Tea’s shaking, sweating body collapsed against him as his arms held her steadily against him and he leaned into her, nuzzling and breathing hard against her face.
“Don’t move...let me stay inside you,” he whispered as he struggled to catch his breath.
She pulled her face away from his shoulder and looked down into his moss-green eyes, as they watched her. He pushed back her wild, tangled hair--pushing it away from her eyes--and smiled up at her beautiful, flushed face, a face smiling back at him. This was the moment that he loved best, the moment he wanted to live in forever with her, this instance of perfect physical and emotional connection--this Nirvana.
“I love you, Tea...” he whispered up to her. “I wish I knew better words...”
“Those are the only words that matter,” she whispered back.
He pulled her closer, resting his head against her neck closing his eyes, rocking her gently against him.
