PREVIOUSLY...
Moments later, they're horrified, however, to realize that they've been locked out of the diner where their clothes are and all each has to wear is a flimsy apron that wouldn't hide from anyone's observation that they both are clearly naked underneath them.

chapter 216:

[Several minutes pass silently, as they each assess their current embarrassing predicament.]

Tea: We can't stay out here all night.

Todd: Don't talk to me.

Tea: This isn't my fault.

Todd: Whose idea was it for me to take off all my clothes? Because, it certainly wasn't mine. I wanted to stay fully clothed. You were the one who had to have your way.

Tea: I wanted you to relax and have fun.

Todd: This is not fun!

Tea: It was before Cristian and Jessica interrupted what we were pleasurably doing.

Todd: We're never doing this again.

Tea: Having sex in potentially public places? Or, having sex with each other?

Todd: Either one is bound to screw things up for me.

Tea: Do not take this out on me. I'm in as much of an embarrassing situation as you are, right now.

Todd: But, I'm the one who has to get us out of it. I'm the one who has to streak across this stupid town and be seen looking like this. I'm the one they'll toss in jail, if the cops catch me. I'm the one whose picture will be on the front page of The Banner tomorrow morning with the headline --Maniac Manning Moons Masses.

Tea: You could wear my apron so it's covering your mooning mass, if that would make you feel more comfortable.

Todd: There's no way I'm leaving you here, exposed to the world.

Tea: At least you still care about me.

Todd: Whatever! I need to get us out of this, so stop talking and let me think.

Tea: The obvious choice is to go to Carlotta's.

Todd: And, have my niece see me like this?

Tea: She is an adult.

Todd: Barely!

Tea: I could be the one to embarrass myself. You could hide in the bushes.

Todd: I don't want Jessica even knowing that I do this kind of stuff.

Tea: You have a daughter. I think she knows you've had sex.

Todd: Don't say that! That's gross!

Tea: Sex is not gross.

Todd: If you say so. Just let me think. My newspaper is out. There are too many security cameras covering that place. Those idiots that work for me would make copies of the tapes and pass them around. They hate me that much.

Tea: Do you know how to break into a car?

Todd: You want to steal a car?

Tea: Of course not.

Todd: It might work. We could go to Viki's cabin. She keeps extra clothes up there.

Tea: Why would she do that?

Todd: She probably figures Kevin will need a place to go with whoever he's cheating with, on whoever he's committed to, at any given moment, and she knows that he's too stupid to plan ahead, and his bimbos are probably too stupid, too. I guess I shouldn't have said that to you.

Tea: Actually, I was more the one he was cheating on, sort of, although we weren't actually in a committed relationship, I suppose. But, I was definitely not with him while he was in a committed relationship.

Todd: That's because the chick he wanted to be with, at the time, was married to the sanctimonious minister that you later cheated on me with.

Tea: Do we have to get into this right now? It's getting a little chilly out here.

Todd: Fine. We'll use your car.

Tea: Why mine?

Todd: I'm not messing up mine, breaking into it.

Tea: Actually, it was mine that I was suggesting anyway, but not to drive to Viki's cabin.

Todd: Can't you think about anything other than sex?

Tea: When it involves you, it is hard.

Todd: Not at the moment, it isn't.

Tea: We'll have to get out of this situation quickly so we can work on that. What I was suggesting, was that you break into my car so we can use my cell phone to call Carlotta and have her come and let us in to get our clothes.

Todd: No way do I want Carlotta seeing me like this.

Tea: Would you prefer to risk getting stopped by the police while driving wearing nothing but an apron?

Todd: Yes.

Tea: Well, I wouldn't. I'm calling Carlotta.

[Tea begins to walk toward the area where her car is parked. Todd grabs her arm and stops her.]

chapter 217:

Todd: You stay here. I'll take care of this. Where's your car?

Tea: Directly underneath a large security light.

Todd: Why the hell did you have to park there?

Tea: I thought it was a good idea at the time. I didn't know that we'd end up stranded out here, wearing nothing but aprons.

Todd: You should have planned ahead.

Tea: Next time I will.

Todd: There will be no next time for this.

Tea: Are you saying we're through?

Todd: Do you really want me making that decision right now?

Tea: Yes. In this horrible moment, I want to know if you still want to be with me. Because, I want to be with you, not just when everything is going well, but all the time.

Todd: That's not true.

Tea: It is.

Todd: Right now, I need to flash my ass to all of Angel Square, this isn't the time to irritate me with any of this stupid relationship garbage.

Tea: Forgive me for caring about our relationship!

Todd: You're forgiven.

[Todd picks up a discarded cardboard box and starts walking toward Tea's car.]

Tea: What are you planning on doing?

[Todd stops and turns back toward her.]

Todd: I'm getting your cell phone.

Tea: You can't smash your fist into the window. You'll hurt yourself.

Todd: It wouldn't be the first time I lost blood because of you.

[Todd turns and resumes walking. Tea follows him.]

Tea: Don't do it. There must be another way.

[Todd turns back toward her and moves her body back to their previous hiding place.]

Todd: Do you want people to see you?

Tea: If that's the only way I can prevent you from hurting yourself, I'll expose myself to the whole world.

Todd: Just stay here. I can handle this.

Tea: Use something other than your fist.

Todd: My head?

Tea: There must be something around here that you could use.

Todd: I'm not in the mood to go on a scavenger hunt.

Tea: I won't let you do it.

Todd: You can't stop me.

Tea: Oh, yes, I can.

[Tea surprises Todd by grabbing him and passionately kissing him on the lips.]

chapter 218:

[Todd and Tea are kissing passionately. Each is becoming more physically engrossed in their activity as the seconds pleasurably pass. One of Todd's hands roams down Tea's back, exposed where the flimsy apron she's wearing doesn't cover her flesh.

Minutes later...

Todd pulls away from her.]

Todd: Nice try, Delgado. It won't work.

Tea: I feel it working.

[Tea's hand grasps him through the thin material of the apron he's wearing.]

Tea: I definitely feel it working.

[Tea removes her hand and again pulls him into a kiss. Todd again responds enthusiastically, unable to prevent himself from giving in to the pleasure her body is offering him.

As the weight of his body begins to move her backwards, seeking a solid surface, he tosses aside the piece of cardboard he had been holding.

As he backs her against the exterior of the diner, he again pulls away from her.]

Todd: Maybe we shouldn't do this out here. What if we get caught?

Tea: We won't.

Todd: When that broad's brat tells her what he found, she'll come looking for you. She'll assume that I did something to you.

Tea: Their names are Carlotta and Cristian.

Todd: Whatever!

Tea: You may be right, though. We should do this quickly.

Todd: You're serious?

Tea: Either that, or we could go back to the docks, or we could find a tree to hide behind, or...

Todd: Or, we could get your cell phone, you could call that broad, and we can get our stuff so we can get the hell out of here.

Tea: And, go somewhere else to be together?

Todd: Why are you so into this?

Tea: Because I'm into you.

Todd: What's the real reason?

Tea: If this is the only way I can spend the whole night with you, I want to make love as many times as we can.

Todd: How many times are you figuring we can do this? Because, I think we've already broken the record.

Tea: Really?

Todd: You've done it more times, in more different places, in the same night?

Tea: This isn't important.

Todd: Like hell it isn't! How many times is your record?

Tea: You and I have been very active, since we expanded our relationship to include this kind of activity.

Todd: So, you're talking about our past...about our record? What is our record?

Tea: You don't know?

Todd: I'm not obsessed with keeping track.

Tea: It sounds like you are.

Todd: I just want to be number one, out of all the sleazeballs you've been with.

Tea: You are.

Todd: I'm the sleaziest?

Tea: You're number one in my heart.

Todd: Seriously, what's your record?

Tea: I'll let you know when I feel we've reached it.

Todd: You think you can handle more than what we've already done?

Tea: I think so. Do you?

Todd: I'm a guy. As long as you can rev up my little guy, I'm ready to go.

[Tea places her hand beneath the apron Todd's wearing and strokes his flesh.]

Tea: I feel him revving...purring with anticipation.

Todd: Purring? We're not talking about some runty kitten.

Tea: It's a lion, ready to roar.

Todd: Lions are dangerous.

Tea: I trust this lion.

Todd: You're not scared you'll get mauled?

Tea: I trust you.

Todd: There are people who would tell you it's stupid to trust me.

Tea: Luckily, I don't listen to those people.

Todd: You're sure?

Tea: I trust you. I love you. I want to make love to you.

Todd: Right here? Right now?

Tea: Anytime. Anywhere.

Todd: Anywhere, huh?

[Tea laughs at the mischievous glint in his eyes.]

Tea: Perhaps, I should rephrase that.

Todd: Perhaps, you should stop talking.

[Their mouths meet again as they give in to their passionate need for each other.]

chapter 219:

[Several minutes later...

Todd is panting heavily from his physical exertion.]

Todd: How was that?

Tea: It was the best three minutes of my life.

Todd: That had to be at least twenty minutes.

Tea: I don't think so.

Todd: Are you complaining?

Tea: No, Todd, I'm not. I'm just teasing you.

Todd: Because, you know, I did speed up, on purpose. We're trying for a record, remember?

Tea: For the fastest?

Todd: So, you are complaining?

Tea: I'm not. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself supporting my weight for too long, anyway.

Todd: That's the real reason I sped it up. I don't want to have to explain any injuries.

Tea: As long as there's a good reason.

Todd: That's it! We're doing it again.

Tea: It was fine.

Todd: I'm not going to just stand here and have you thinking that I'm lousy at this.

[Tea approaches Todd and places her arms around him.]

Tea: I don't. I think you're wonderful.

Todd: Wait until I'm through with you, you'll know wonderful.

Tea: You may be ready to go again, but I need to rest first.

Todd: We should get out of this mess you got us into, anyway.

Tea: This isn't my fault.

Todd: I think it is. And, since I'm the guy, my thoughts are what counts.

Tea: Oh, really?!

Todd: Enough of this afterglow chatter. I need to go mess up your car. You're sure your cell phone is in the car?

Tea: I'm positive.

[Todd retrieves the piece of cardboard that he had earlier dropped when Tea used his attraction for her to distract him.]

Tea: Don't put your fist through the window.

Todd: Are you going to throw your body in front of me to stop me again? Because, that kind of worked out for me the last time.

Tea: If I don't call Carlotta soon, if she isn't able to reach me to find out why we left the diner the way Cristian found it, she may come looking for me. Neither of us wants that, do we?

Todd: Of course not. I hate her.

Tea: Why do you hate her?

Todd: She hates me.

Tea: I don't know if she hates you.

Todd: I know it.

Tea: She's not fond of you, I suppose.

Todd: She hates me. She's made that clear enough. She wants you with that wimpy cop.

Tea: Not anymore, she doesn't.

Todd: She finally got into his pants?

Tea: She now sees him for who he is.

Todd: If that's true, then she probably wants you with someone else, like one of her kids. It better not be the young one. You're way too old for him.

Tea: Is that so?

Todd: Way too old! Besides, Jessica still likes him, for some reason. And, it better not be the other one, because I hate him.

Tea: If you liked him, would it then be okay for Carlotta to fix me up with him?

Todd: Sure. Any guy I like you can go out with. Of course, I hate everyone so that means you're stuck with me.

Tea: Luckily, you're the only one that I want to be with.

Todd: Do you want to be with me again?

Tea: Right now?

Todd: It's either that or I go smash your windshield because I can't handle anymore yacking.

Tea: Fine. Go and ruin my car. Just find a rock, or something, first. Don't use your fist.

Todd: You're taking all of the fun out of being stuck outside wearing nothing but an apron.

Tea: Next time I'll try to be more carefree about it.

[Todd looks around them and notices some nearby bricks that appear to be loose. He knocks one free and walks toward Tea's car. As she watches him walking away, Tea smiles, as she notices that he's found a different use for the cardboard he's still carrying, than what his original intent for it was.

As Todd steps into the parking area that is lit far better than he wishes it were in this moment, he uses the cardboard to cover his backside from the possibly view of any nearby voyeurs.]

chapter 220:

[Moments later...

Tea hears the sound of glass breaking. She cringes, not only from the sound, but also from thinking about the possible damage to her car.

When several minutes pass without the return of Todd, Tea becomes concerned. She steps out from her hiding area near the back of the diner, and slowly moves toward the area where she parked her car.

As her car comes into view and she doesn't see any sign of Todd, she begins to panic.]

Tea: Todd? Todd?

[As Tea nears her car, Todd jumps from his hiding place, behind a nearby tree, startling her. He quickly pulls her into the shadows.]

Todd (whispering): What the hell do you think you're doing?

Tea: I was worried. I thought something had happened to you.

Todd: So, you thought you'd flash the neighborhood, to show your deep concern?

Tea: I was more worried about you than I was about being seen.

Todd: Exactly! You could have blown this whole thing.

Tea: Why are you hiding, anyway? The whole point of smashing the window was to get my cell phone.

Todd: If the nosy neighbors around here looked out their windows after hearing the glass break, I didn't want them to see anything suspicious and call the cops, or come out here and start beating the apron-wearing, otherwise naked, town pervert with baseball bats.

Tea: Why didn't you tell me that part of your plan was to wait several minutes before getting my phone?

Todd: I don't tell you everything.

Tea: Don't I know it!

Todd: What's that supposed to mean?

Tea: It's not important right now.

Todd: You can't say stuff like that and try to drop it. What do you think I'm keeping from you?

Tea: Why you won't share a bed with me.

Todd: This isn't the time for that.

Tea: Since we have a few minutes...

Todd: I have to go risk my butt, because of you.

Tea: It's a very sexy butt.

Todd: Are you trying to hit on me? Now?

Tea: You did mention something about a record earlier.

Todd: It's bad enough that I'm about to get caught breaking into a car wearing nothing but an apron, you also want me to get caught shagging you among the shrubs?

Tea: You didn't seem concerned about that several minutes ago.

Todd: Several minutes ago I was thinking with a different body part.

Tea: When we get out of this, will you come back to the penthouse with me?

Todd: Is that what this is really about?

Tea: We could try, Todd. Maybe it won't be as difficult as you think.

Todd: You have no idea what it's like.

Tea: I want to. I want to know why you won't even try.

[Without responding to Tea, and to get away from their conversation, Todd stealthily leaves their hiding spot and approaches her car, determined to retrieve her cell phone and get away from the diner, and any more discussion of their relationship, or his inability to share himself with her as fully as she wants, and needs.]

to be continued...
