Why a Dana Ivey website?
The Internet is practically littered with sites glorifying the latest "Flavor of the Month" performers. I wanted to dedicate a small amount of bandwidth to an actress whose amazing skill and dedication to her craft have enriched the American stage and screen, but whose name might not be as familiar as it should be.

What does "Ballyhoo & Beyond" mean?
Honestly, I was looking for a clever name for the site and that's what came to mind. The "Ballyhoo" refers to Alfred Uhry's play, "The Last Night of Ballyhoo," for which Ms. Ivey received a Tony nomination. Broadway is so much a part of her career, but I wanted to go beyond her stage career to her film and television work, as well.
