Ashley Marie Lewis was born on July 8th, 1986 in Youngstown, Ohio. She's a Country/Pop vocalist, songwriter, and percussionist; a self-taught guitarist and has been playing since December of 2008; and also enjoys dabbling in harmonica and keyboard.

"I always knew that this is where I was meant to be," explains the twenty-three year old. "I've never wanted anything more in my life. When I was twelve, I wrote my first song. The funny thing is, it was actually written on a dare from my principal. I penned it with my friend, Cyndle, and tweaked it as I got older. It was called 'Wish You Were Here', and it was about a boy who left me and broke my heart. I didn't even know what love was then! Oddly enough, this was the same principal who taught my brother how to play guitar!"

Ashley grew up on Oldies music, attending concerts since she was "in the womb". "I attended my first concert in my mom's stomach," she jokes. "My mom always told me that I 'had a beat', and I guess taking me to concerts as I was developing helped a lot." Ashley laughs, "My parents actually raised my brother and me on Oldies music. We used to go to concerts every summer that our local F.O.P. sponsored. It was really cool because my dad knew the police officers, so we always got to go backstage to meet the artists. I guess you could say I 'grew up in the business'."

Her experiences and exposure to live audiences include: Performing at the age of seven with Oldies singer, Bobby Vee; Dancing on stage with former Arista recording artists, LFO, at the age of fourteen; and singing the National Anthem at a local hockey game at the age of twenty, and more recently, at a charity hockey game at the age of twenty-two. In October of 2008, Ashley was one of sixteen finalists who performed in the fourth annual "Youngstown Superstar" competition, held at the Youngstown Playhouse. In July of 2009, at the age of twenty-three, Ashley had the opportunity to perform a capella with LFO at Musica in Akron, Ohio.

"It was a dream come true to take the stage with LFO," says the singer. "They've been a major influence on my music and I've always looked up to them. They've been through a lot and are a few of my biggest inspirations. We'd met several times before, but we didn't know each other. When they brought me up on stage, and we started singing, you would've sworn it was rehearsed. We clicked that well. It was truly amazing and such an unforgettable experience. I'm forever thankful."

Ashley has been singing her entire life, and playing drumset and other various instruments in the percussion family since she was six years old. She has been compared to great talents, such as Jennifer Nettles of SugarLand, Carrie Underwood, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, and Shania Twain.

"It's definitely an honor to be compared to such amazing vocalists," Ashley admits. "I have my own unique sound and I'm humbled to be placed in the same category with them. They are all such talented artists and I hope that I can be even half as successful as they are."

Who has inspired her the most? "Michael Jackson. Hands-down. He was such an amazingly talented performer. No one can ever compare, and really, there are no words to describe him. He's that great. His passing was a tragic loss to the music industry and humanity. His music and his love for others will continue to inspire for years to come, I'm sure. He is greatly missed and his legacy will forever live on. I just hope that my music can move mountains the way that his did- and still does- one day."

In April of 2010, Ashley recorded her first demo with respected producer and session musician, Buddy Hyatt, in Nashville, Tennessee. On June 8th 2010, Ashley released her first EP, “Drive”, which quickly became a local success.

In early 2010, Ashley was found gracing the stage of the historic Ponderosa Park in Salem, Ohio, where she was the lead vocalist of the Red Garter House Band, until the park was shut down in June, due to financial reasons. Ponderosa Park has helped to spark the careers of past and present artists Charley Pride, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Reba McEntire, George Strait, and many, many more.

"Having the opportunity to perform at Ponderosa [Park] is like a dream come true. It's an honor to be playing at the same venue that so many of today's hottest artists once played in previous years. The history [of the park] just amazes me. I just hope that I can leave a lasting impression on the stage the way that those artists did for so many of us."
