ALEX: See, they know my noise! They know me!
Hello chickens, you know it is Alex! Hello chick chicks, hello!

ALEX:(to Tim) They must recognise people then, cos they don't recognise us like this.
(to chickens, takes Afro wig off) Look it's me! It's Alex!

BB: Alex...is there anything you would miss about life in the house?

ALEX: No. (long pause) The chickens.

BB: Have you a favourite chicken?

ALEX: Yeah, the odd one here or there.  I mean, I can't even believe that in the first week of the poor times, we said we were going to cook one of them. I'd probably be really upset if I'd cook one of those chickens, even though I had my eye on which one I would cook if we were going to do it.
But eh...yeah, I do like those chickens. I know they are only chickens, but I suppose when there's nothing else around... I mean, I probably wouldn't have given the chickens the time of day if they were in someone else's back garden, but since I've been in here... Yeah, they're just nice, they've got characteristics, and I don't have any arguments with them, and they don't talk back... and eh, yeah I think I've got on best with - oh no, there's some people I've got on in here with, but I've got on better with the chickens in this house than I have done with other people, which I think is rather strange.

JONNY: If they give you one, when you get out of here, which one would you have?

ALEX: Really?

JONNY: No, I'm saying, if they did, which one would you have?

ALEX: I dunno, I'd probably go for Scabby

JONNY: Scabby? I thought you would.

ALEX: Betty's more of a curious one, but I just think Scabby... just cos he's one of them. He's from Northern Chile. And also, it doesn't really look like a chicken as much as the others do. I mean, even Eagle looks like a mixture. But I quite like the idea of - I dunno, Coalboy as well, he talks when you go near him
