Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley are TV stars worth $23 million at the tender age of 12 - but their parents give them only $10 a week in allowance for cleaning their rooms. "We are normal kids, but we're very lucky to be doing what we do," Mary Kate told reporters. Ashley added: "We wouldn't change anything." "They don't act like your typical Hollywood child stars," a family friend told the ENQUIRER. "They follow a strict schedule with school and work andspend as much time as they can with their family." California investment banker dad David Olsen told an on-line magazine: "We've made a conscious effort to give them a normal life. My kids work in Hollywood, but they don't live in it." The pair got their start on the hit TV series "Full House" when they were just a year old. Since then, they've become high-powered players in TinselTown. The Twins currently star in the popular TV series "Two of a Kind," and their company, Dualstar Entertainment Group, has signed a $10 million deal with ABC. They have a series of books with over 8 million copies sold and nine more to come this year. And toymaker Mattel, Inc. will introduce Olsen twin dolls in early 2000. But the two lovable kids don't seem too fazed by their stardom. They split time between their parents, David and Jarnette, who divorced in 1996 and spend time with their brother Trent and sister Lizzie. Mary-Kate and Ashley only work about five months per year. The rest of the time they attend private school near their home, plan sleepovers and go shopping - just like normal kids.
