This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I think the thing that is so appealing about this film is that you get pure Spacey without anything to block your concentration. While American Beauty will always be my favorite film, it has a lot of distractions. It is not the easiest film to watch. You have to deal with the older-man-in-lust-with-the-young-Lolita scenario, etc., etc. . .

But in The Big Kahuna, you can just relax and enjoy the Spaceyness!

But don't get me wrong! This film has a quiet depth to it. The way in which Larry, Phil, and Bob interact with each other is so dynamic, while still seaming natural, that you almost miss the meaning.

Anyway, I hope you understand what I mean.

The Story:

Larry (Kevin Spacey) and Phil (Danny Devito) are seasoned salesmen for an industrial lubricant company who must travel to a small hotel to do some business at a conference. Along for the ride is Bob (Peter Facinelli), who is wet behind the ears, and a little bit naive.
