Suspects

Since Jack the Ripper was never caught, many people were accused of being suspects of the crazed maniac.

Dr.Thomas Neill Cream

Dr.Cream was already a killer of women, by poisoning them. He was arrested in Scotland in 1892. He was convicted and hung. Just before he was hung he confessed saying exactly this "I am Jack the..." but it was to late, his neck snapped when his body hung.

George Chapman

Mr.Chapman was a man who had been married several times. Mysteriously all of his wives died of the same conditions, abdominal pains. Someone became suspicious that he had poisoned them, so and an autopsy was requested on the bodies. All three were found poisoned in the anatomy. He was suspected, but it is thought that a serial killer does not decrease in brutality after he/she goes up in brutality.

Frederick Bayley Deeming

Deeming lived in England, Africa, and finally Australia. He was arrested for a bad smell coming from his home in Australia. Police investigated and found his whole family murdered. He was executed on May 23rd 1892. He was suspected of being Jack the Ripper, but later disregarded due to the fact that he was in Africa during the murders.

Free Masons

It has been a theory that a community of free masons performed some sort of ritual killings. But this idea was disregarded, because the bodies were shown to be mutilated by a single person.

Midwife/Jill the Ripper

It was a theory, but was never really taken into consideration. The way the women were handled could have never been by another woman. Plus the fact that they were sexually abused. So this rules out the possibility of Jack the Ripper being a woman.

Prince Albert Victor

It was a rumor that Duke Albert Victor of Clarence had a child with a prostitute. As a cover up she was taken to a mental hospital where she died. Other prostitutes knew of this and blackmailed the prince. So supposidly he had them killed. This was also dropped thinking, why would he have the women so brutally murdered.

No one will ever know who Jack the Ripper was because he or she took their dark secret to the grave. One of the first serial killers in history, and also only one never to be caught.
