"I really liked this Ep!
I almost cried!!
Marc did to!
Between Joxer dying the thought of Argo
being dead and that holy scene~
*sigh*
Very sad I actually thought Eve was gonna die~
Ares screaming "thats it, whose my girl"
was TOO freaking funny!
LMFAO
That scene with Virgil and Joxer was sweet.
The fighting was great.
The scene where Xena and Livia are fighting was awesome~
Adrienne certainly has great fighting skills!"

"You'll be happy to know that so far, people (me included) are really
positive about Adrienne's performance in "Eve".
I thought the fight scene at the end was great and one of the highlights was Ares in his
"ringside seats" cheering a la WWF "Who's my girl? YOU ARE!" LMAO!"

"It has to be one of my favorites, no way around it. It was back to the old fashioned
tender moments then the "Excuse me while I kick some butt..... I'm back." I love that.
There is going to be some major but kicking action with Xena, Gabby and Eve fighting
side by side. No wonder she was the bringer of the Twilight. My favorite scenes were
when Ares spun Xena around and yelled at her and then when they did the flashbacks to
Xena's pregnancy. I'll quit rambling now, but season 6 is going to rock. They came in with
a bang and they are going to go out with a hell of a lot of thunder."

"I liked Livia a lot more in this episode (and the hair was better too LOL!). Well, like isn't really a good word as she was REALLY nasty for 99% of the episode, but she did a better job here IMO. I suppose that is understandable as it takes a little time to adjust to a new character, and plus I think the script was just better. She reminded me even more of Callisto in the episode. There were lots of little references to her. That background music they used to use for evil Callisto, her catching Xena's chakram (wasn't Callisto the only one who was ever able to do that?), and the ironic exchange between her and a villager where she says "I'm not Callisto".
I liked the ending scene a lot. Lots of sparklies, nice shots of both ladies. Livia did a lot of really bad things in this episode and I was not sure I was going to be able to forgive her, but I was. After all the big X sure did some pretty nasty things in her day too.
I do think the whole introduction and redemption of Livia has been a little too rushed, but
there's not much that can be done about that since they wanted to get the Twilight
resolved by the end of the season and there were only a few episodes left. All in all I
think it was a great episode."

" "Eve" is a great ep though i had a hard time with some parts of it. I thought Gabby should have accepted some blame for running off to Livia's camp and should have some tears and more emotion at Joxer's death.
When Xena commented about Joxer to Gabby, i never thought it'd be my friend... i wondered why she didn't say OUR friend or Gabby didn't say he was her friend too. Just kinda stuck out for me.
I wonder how Eve makes up for her crimes- become a life long-redemption seeking warrior like Xena or something else. I don't see how she can't, or how Xena could let her go free.
Ares acknowledges the gods got along fine
with Eve alive for 25 yrs, that it was their
fear that was the threat. Sounds like he should want to keep Eve being alive a secret.
Why tempt fate?"

"Reviews for "Eve"! FINALLY, a true Xena KICK @$$ episode. Yeah, it was sweet with baby
Julian and all but Xena always rocks whenever she kicks butt. A few comments is all.
Loved Kevin Smith's acting when he lost his temper with Xena."DAMN IT, I'M NOT ASKING
YOU, I'M TELLING YOU!" Love that. =) And um....I think Ares should of done the "pitiful"
thing better. I rather liked it the fact that Ares had a thing for Xena.
Oh yeah, Gabby needs to get her priorities straightened out IMO. First she can save Livia
who was nearly as bad as Xena/Callisto then one talk and she can't? What's with that?
Hehe.
I hope Motherhood is good but c'mon, Xena rocks. So stop with the mixed
Christianity/paganism thing and get Xena back on track kick butts where she belongs!
(IMO!!!!) Take care."

" What I like most in these post baby arc eps is that the writing and acting are back to the
way they used to be...there is more thoughtful dialogue, more X&G relationship issues
(more positive ones), and more action. It makes me hopeful they would want to continue
past season 6, but that won't happen from what we have read so far...but it's back to
the old XWP eps that most ofus have missed...I hope it continues..."

"Adrienne Wilkinson makes an excellent Eve and Livia. She delivered quite a stunning
performance, and I look forward to seeing her in future episodes of XWP. It’s hard
stepping into the shoes of Hudson Leick. And yes, even though she wasn’t playing the
actual Callisto, she is being measured against Leick’s performances. What can I say?
Leick was one of a kind. She MADE Callisto. But, you know what? Wilkinson stepped up
to the plate, took a swing and in my eyes has hit a home run in her portrayal of Eve as
Livia, who not only embodies the spirit of Callisto, but also some of Xena. She mastered
enough of Callisto’s facial expressions and mannerisms to remind us constantly that this
is indeed the reincarnated spirit of Callisto. Judging by her performances in the last two
episodes, I think she’ll be delivering a combination of the elements of the old and
reformed Callisto..a Callisto who will be battling the darkness within her with the light
that Xena gave her in Fallen Angel. She’s a good addition to the cast."

“Firstly, I was just wowed at the chill factor of finding Livia's little message to Xena in the battlefield: “Rome needs no mother”. Shudder. This, incidentally, was further proof daughter dearest has monolithic mother issues.”
~Sheryl-Lee Kerr for The Australian Xena Information Page
“There was one other moment that gave me a delighted laugh; where, during one battle, Adrienne Wilkinson perfectly nailed the 'hmmm curious' head tilt, staring-eye thing that Callisto does often, but particularly in Ides of March (when Gabrielle went feral). I pay Adrienne full credit for it, and I felt like Callisto was staring back at us for that brief moment.”
~Sheryl-Lee Kerr for The Australian Xena Information Page
“...there is one little gem that stands out where, just for a moment, she rises above this characterisation and gives a little chill. It's the way she stares at Xena and very slowly, in measured, cold tones she says: 'DON'T... call me... Eve...’”
