(Vash when he has just a little to much to drink.)

Summary: This odd episode starts off with a drunk man named Frank Marlon stumbling around in a bar, trying to find someone to buy him a drink. He calmly asks two men for anything that has alchol in it, only to be thrown out in the street. Flash to the next day with Meryl and Milly sitting at a table having lunch. Both of them are discussing what Vash the Stampede, (Yeah, they still haven't figured out who he is.), should look like. Meryl is explaining how shes not going to believe anymore rumors, when the real Vash walks by. Vash waves to Millie and keeps walking up the street until he bumps into Frank Marlon....

Frank complains that Vash hurt his shoulder, and then tackles him the very next second, begging as usual for alchol. Vash kicks, screams, and struggles with Frank on top of him, until the drunk throws up in his face. (2nd best scene on the whole DVD right there folks!!) Apprently, Vash gives in and the two go into the bar for some drinks. While they're sitting there, Vash asks the bartender if she ever heard of "Frank Marlon", and is told that he was once the town hero. Frank use to be one of the worlds best gunsmiths and even taught the entire town how to use his "Frank Marlon Special" brand pistols. (He also gave everyone in town their own guns too.) Vash says all he wants Frank Marlon for is to get his lovely silver gun fixed, since the shot is off or sumthing. The bartender warns Vash not to give Frank his gun, becuz he will probably pawn it for booze. In the end she takes it anyway becuz the bartender doesn't allow any of her customers to be armed.

Meanwhile, some bandits get word that Vash the Stampede is in town. Since nobody has any idea what the real Vash looks like, the leader of the bandits named "Big Brother" decides he'll pretend to be Vash in order to put the townspeople into a panic. (And steal the banks money while he's at it.) Back at the bar, Vash and Frank have just gotten thrown out becuz niether has any money left. Both completely drunk, they stumble back to Frank's house to drink somemore. It's there that Vash learns why Frank has become the town drunk. Seems a few years ago Frank had a wife and kid. One day while they were at the bank, several bandits broke in and robbed the place, shooting them both dead in the process. The most devasting part was, the guns they used were "Frank Marlon Specials" and Frank had given them the weapons himself. He sank into such a deep depression, and drinking was the only way to make it better.

Outside the next morning, the bandits have just stormed into town, claiming that Big Brother is the "Legendary Vash the Stampede." The townspeople begin to surrender their money without a fight. Hearing people screaming his name, the real Vash strolls right up to Big Brother's car and give it a nice flat tire with his boot knife. ^0^ Big Brother prepares to open fire on Vash, when the entire town appears pointing "Frank Marlon Specials" at their heads. Except for Frank himself who is holding his finger against the back of Big Brother's head, and making him think that he has a real gun. The bandits run off, all the moneys saved, no one is killed, no damage done to the town, yadda yadda.

At the bar that night, Vash gets totally sloshed again. When he walks outside to try and find a bathroom, Frank appears and annouce he's given up drinking forever. He also hands Vash his gun, good as new. ^-^ As he's about to tell Frank his real name, Vash suddenly has the urge to throw-up. As he's doing so against a nearby wall, Frank calmly tells him the he drinks way to much....

Best Moment: When Frank tackles Vash infont of the bar, and even though theres 500 people around, nobody helps him. ^0^

Worst Moment: The longgggg flashback explaining how Frank became the town drunk. I know they needed it to explain why Frank was that way, but it was sooooooo damn longggggggg!!

Gotta love Frank Marlon. This is the first episode where you get to see Vash drunk. He's still hot, even when he's throwing up all over the place. ^-^
