(Vash eh.. playing a rough game of tag with Meryl and Millie. ~.^)
Outside a guy named Badwick, (Who looks like he stole Vegeta from DBZ's battle armor.), is having a fight with some old people. The couple is shouting insults at him from behind each of Vash's legs, while Badwick is sitting on top of a truck. ^0^ Apprently Badwick wants to sell their land to a man named Morgan. The only way to do that is with the land deed, and the old guy refuses to give it up. So by threatening to kill the couple, Badwick figures he'll get his way. Vash begins to draw his gun, only to be clothes-lined by M&M from behind. Millie then shoots Badwick's truck with her stun gun and knocks it into a nearby wall. The wall collaspes, but Badwick or anybody else isn't hurt.
Skip to a scene of Vash, M&M, and the old couple sitting in a coffee house having breakfast. The man asks M&M to be his bodyguards, but they decline. So he offers Vash the job instead. Vash agrees to do it, but Meryl quickly butts in and claims the job as her own again. (Saying it's a form of risk-prevention.) While walking towards the couples home, Meryl kindly reminds Vash that he's not to get involved with their new "job." Vash nods and then disappears for the next 20 minutes worth of episode... The old couples home turns out to be a beautiful forest like place. (Trees, bushes, and such are considered rare in Trigun.) Meryl questions the old guy about exactly why he needs a bodyguard. He replies that a man named Morgan is trying to take over their land, but if they can get the land deed turned into the "City Office" the next morning he won't be able to do anything about it. So he needs bodyguards to protect him from Morgan and company.
That night a young man comes in and declares that its time to switch shifts. (A couple of men that use to play in the forest as children are helping guard the place too.) One of the men asks Meryl what happened to Vash, and she says she sent him back to town. Another one jokes that she must of had a fight with her "boyfriend", and Meryl gets all flustered. ^0^ As they're walking out the door to go patrol, Meryl notices a ugly picture of the couple and a boy. When she reaches to pick it up, the old man grabs it and places it face down on the table...
Once outside, Millie starts complaining about how cold it is. Meryl simply remarks that the boy from the picture looked familiar. Some bushes start moving, so the girls whip out their weapons. Badwick appears and begs them not to shoot. When M&M demand to know why he's there he admits he wants to try and change his Dad's mind again. Meryl quickly realizes Badwick was the boy from the picture she saw earlier. Millie suddenly gets very upset becuz she realizes that Badwick was pointing a gun at his own parents earlier that day. She tries to hit him with her fists, but he easily dodges. Badwick's Father shows up in the doorway, and stops the fight.
Over on a nearby hill, a group of men and their cars are gathered. The leader, Morgan, is complaining about how useless Badwick is. Suddenly, a HUGE woman with another female on her shoulder appears. She accidently steps on Morgan's car and starts to cry real loud. (Think back to episode #5 here people.) The girl on her shoulder scolds Morgan for parking his car in the wrong place, and then introduces herself as Marilyn Nebraska. She, her Mom: Patricia Nebraska, and her three brothers have been hired by Morgan to get the land deed. The only reason why they're doing the job is to get bail money for Gosfef and Professor Nebraska. (Remember them from episode #5 yet!?)
Back at the old couple's house, Badwick is fighting with his parents again. He asks his Dad if the land is more important then his life, and the answer comes back "Yes." Badwick says something terrible to his parents, and clamps his hand over his mouth. Before anything else can be said, the entire house shakes violently. Apprently, Patricia Nebraska likes to use her three sons like rocks. They all wear special metal suits, and roll around like balls. (The house started shakeing becuz one of them was thrown at it.) A parade of men with guns comes charging at the house. Badwick complains quietly that they didn't wait as long as they were suppose too. His parents arm themselves, and M&M get ready too. They fight for a little while, buts it obvious who has the upper hand. The old man finds Morgan and stands infront of him. Morgan points a gun at him, but can't fire because they're to many witnesses. He shouts that he'll kill everyone watching anyway, and almost pulls the trigger until M&M come out of hiding and buy some time.
Badwick watches from one of the windows and after a brief talk from his Mother, realizes his Father does infact love him. He decides to take some action and pulls the land deed out from behind the ugly picture. (The one Meryl tried to look at eariler.) He appears outside on his motorcycle, but instead of handing it to Morgan like expected, breezes right by him with the deed in hand. Morgan has a fit and orders Patricia to throw one of her sons before he gets away. She does so, and Meryl tries to shoot him even though she knows shes to far away. Although nobody realizes it, Vash knocks the Nebraska brother away from Badwick. He's been hiding in a nearby trash can watching the entire time. He makes a cute little joke about his lack of screen time in this episode, and then just disappears again. =^.^= Meryl and everyone else think shes the one who saved Badwick.
Upset that one of her children was hurt, Patricia falls crying on top of Morgan. (I guess he got what he deserved. *Shrugs*) Badwick's father wanders if his son will turn the deed into the "City Office" or not. His wife tells him not to worry, just let Badwick handle it. He agrees, and they both thank Mille and Meryl for all their help. The next moring, Badwick enters the "City Office" and hands over the land deed. Inside the envelope, (Thats he's never opened or looked in before.), is another piece of paper declaring Badwick as the owner of the land when his parents die. Badwick is so touched that he gets all teary-eyed.
The episode closes with M&M running around trying to get all their things together before a bus with Vash on it leaves. (You don't actually get to see Vash, you just assume he's already on the bus.)
Rating: (Out of 3 stars) Boring!! And not just becuz Vash isn't a very big part of this episode. ^-^ All Badwick and his parents do is ramble on and on. His Mom and Dad are so nice!! Where does Badwick get off telling his Father he hates him? ~.^ And as for the Nebraska Family, WHO CARES!?
