Appears in: Episode 16: Fifth Moon

Story: The only reason why I even like this guy is becuz he takes out E.G.Mine!! ^0^ Otherwise he seems like to average of an anime character, he looks like every other ninja. Anyway, Rai-Dei shows up while Vash has E.G.Mine cornered and kills his fellow GHG simply becuz he's annoying. (Ok, maybe becuz he doesn't consider E.G. "worthy" of killing Vash.) Vash and Rai-Dei start trying to tear one another apart. Rai-Dei uses your typical ninja's sword, but it can also be used as a gun. It seems like the Blade has the upper hand until Legato starts using telepathy on Vash. Against his will, Vash's "normal" arm transforms into his all powerful Angel Arm and completely levels the town. Rai-Dei somehow manages to survie, and crawls out of the wreckage to find Wolfwood. Wolfwood comments on how strong Rai-Dei must be to have survied such an explosion. Mr.Rai-Dei responds that no one as powerful as Vash should be allowed to live and that they should join sides against him. Wolfwood laughes and promptly shoots Rai-Dei, killing him instantly....

Rai-Dei isn't the coolest guy. Not even a uncommon or overly great character. But, he does kill E.G.Mine, survies an angel arm blast, and its so great when Wolfwood shoots him. ^-^
