HOPMAN GENEALOGIES
in the Netherlands.

This is the genealogy data of all people with the surname Hopman, of whom a Birth, Marriage or Death Certificate exist in the Netherlands between 1811 and 1902. The research was done through the Dutch archives, Church, Notary or Judiciary registries and by place of birth. There is a possibility that this is not complete and at a later date more data might be added. The research after 1902 has been accumulated from personal information or from the Internet at the website www. Genlias.

IMG 40 independent Hopman generations were found and listed below. This data is presented in an alphabetical male Hopman and female Hopman registry of all marriages taken place in the Netherlands. It consist of the Name of the couple, Year of the marriage and Place where the wedding was held. At the end of each marriage you will find a code connecting each couple by this data.

IMG Explanation of the code.

The first letter or letters of the code stands for the place where the earliest Ancestors were born or where a large part of the generation resided. Example: B-Barsingerhorn, LA-Leiden or T-Texel. The numbers give reference to the section of the genealogy data. Unknown persons are coded with a X and Illegitimate persons are coded XG. After the letter you find the spreadsheet page numbers. B1, B2, B3, B4 etc. Then B1A1, B1A2.

IMG Horizontal lines.

Spreadsheets are located on the bottom of this page for each lineage. Spread sheets of the eldest Ancestor start with number #1 on a horizontal line, number #2 on a horizontal line is the 2 second generation, and so on. Parents or couples are on a horizontal line, at the beginning or end you will find an arrow indicating that more children might be listed on the previous or following page. The small vertical lines identify the children. People with more then one marriage are coded with Ix and IIx.

A broken horizontal line means that the relationship is uncertain. A broken vertical line means that the person Hopman was married more the once.

A vertical broken line between the couple means that this Hopman person was married more then once. If children were born from a second marriage the vertical line is broken between the children and are step-brother or step-sisters.

When the letter R is added, the marriage was performed in a Roman Catholic Church.

All married people with the surname Hopman are listed in Alphabetical order in the Registers below by the FIRST Name. Male Registers and Female Registers give the Spouse, Date and Place of the marriage and a genealogy code of the Ancestors.
