Greetings visitor, you have stumled upon the home of Black Dog Armoury! We are a new shop dedicated to the continued learning and application of armoury for the recreationist, and collector. We specialize in "sports" armour for S.C.A. and other similar orginzation, with each peice meeting or surpassing combat saftey requirements. All our peices come hand finished ready to strap. Inside you will find an ever expanding photo album of our work, both during construction, and finshed. Of course if you're really unfortunate, you'll see us as well.
Above middle is an early suit of brass scale, made by The Capt. in his earlier years of armouring. Sholders are pulled from a hockey upper, skinned in pig suede and coverd in a fox skin face. Offered good protection and low weight, yet kept a nice look.
Helm pictured to the right is the Capt.'s personal helm. Copper aventail is 14gauge wire, done in the 4 in 1 style, aventail was anneiled and hardened.
